I went all by myself, I didn't know anyone and I got an apartment... and I did school with Berlitz, five days a week, six hours a day."And her new language skills quickly came in handy: "I ended up hurting my back and I was in the hospital in Paris by myself... I had to figure it all out."

Lavigne admits it was a huge leap of faith but she's glad she did it: "I walked around the streets by myself and I was in school.

It was so weird because I'm super-Add (Attention Deficit Disorder) and I can't sit still and it was hard and I was jet-lagged too for, like, a month. But it was really cool. I loved it."And she's keen to learn more French: "I'm still gonna continue to learn. It's so much fun, speaking another language."

Canadian pop star Avril Lavigne stopped by 'On Air with Ryan Seacrest' on Tuesday morning (April 9) to give, in person, the green light to play her single "Here's To Never Growing Up" on radio, and chat with Ryan in a brief interview.

Produced by Boys Like Girls' frontman, Martin Johnson, the amazing youth anthem "Here's To Never Growing Up" is the lead single from Avril's forthcoming fifth studio which will be released this SUMMER via Epic Records. While talking to Ryan Seacrest, Avril shared a few interesting details about her new music project; she's been working on this album for one year and she still has one more song to record, "Here's To Never Growing Up" was recorded only a few months ago, there's a song called "Hello Kitty" on the album, and she sings a few lyrics in Japanese in it, there are a lot of power/piano ballads, and fans will be able to hear duets with Marilyn Manson, and with husband-to-be Nickelback's Chad Kroeger. Chad was actually in the studio with Avril, and when Ryan invited him to grab a mic and join the conversation, well, you could really tell who wears the pants in that relationship, lol.

In the interview, Avril also discussed her upcoming wedding, the proposal, etc, etc, and said she's happy working with L.A Reid again.
