Brenda Song was leaving the gym recently holding hands with a mystery man. Immediately fans realized that yet again Brenda had split from boyfriend Trace Cyrus. Still no word yet who Brenda is dating, but it looks like Trace is peeved about it. However – it also looks like he’s moved on too! Trace shared the photo below of himself holding hands with a mystery girl, along with posting:

Fans are pretty sure that the girl in Trace’s photo is Melissa Marie of the singing group Millionaires. No word yet if they are actually an item, or if Trace only posted the photo to get back at Brenda. What do YOU think?

Happy birthday to Brenda Song who turns 25 today (March 27)! The Suite Life Of Zack and Cody actress recently appeared on New Girl and is working on a Fox comedy series written by Ted co-writers Alec Sulkin, Wellesley Wild and Seth MacFarlane.

According to Deadline.com – Song will play an assistant to two guys in their 30′s who have their lives turned upside down when their nightmare dads unexpectedly move in with them. She once said in an interview, “I can’t watch myself at all! I don’t quite know why but it’s really hard. I always think, ‘I should have done that differently.’ I guess we’re all just our worst critics.”Song and Trace Cyrus were once engaged but split in June 2012. In January 2013 – Trace tweeted a photo of the two kissing announcing to fans they got back together.

Brenda Song Lands Role with Seth MacFarlane

Brenda Song seems to be having a good year! After starting her relationship back on with Trace Cyrus, and now a new TV show (still untitled)! Yes, you read that right, she has been cast in a new Seth MacFarlane series for Fox. The series will be written by Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild, with Seth being a fellow writer who will also produce and director. The show will be about two thirty-something year old successful guys who wind up having their own fathers move in with them. This turns their whole world upside down, leaving Brenda’s character as their wiser assistant. The series has been given an order of siz episodes thus far, which is a good sign for Brenda who hasn’t has a regular role since The Suite Life On Deck.

I am so happy for Brenda! This is great news and might just make 2013 one of her best years yet. I am pretty sure that she will wow us on the show, even though it will likely be much more like her role in The Social Network than The Suite Life. However, I am not too worried about that since we all already know what a great talent that she has. She could likely take any role and own it for better or even for worse. So I cannot wait to see what she does next with her career and this show, which could finally put her on the map for more mature roles at long last.

How do you feel about this news? It makes me so happy for her and of course for those around her. She seems to be really working hard at making sure that her career takes off, which seems wise. However, with that being said I do wonder how well this series will go with her fans? Fox doesn’t seem like their kind of network that I would assume most Disney fans would tune into, unless they are also older and have grown out of the whole Disney fandom. Then maybe, but I will say that this series should give her the more mature fan base that she likely hoped to gain from with her role in The Social Network and guest appearances on other prime time TV series.

EXCLUSIVE: Brenda Song (The Suite Life On Deck) is the first actor cast in the Fox multi-camera comedy series from Ted co-writers Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild and co-writer/director/star Seth MacFarlane. Written by Sulkin and Wild, the untitled project centers on two successful guys in their 30s who have their lives turned upside down when their nightmare dads unexpectedly move in with them. In the 20th Century Fox TV-produced pilot, Song will play the guys’ assistant who has an odd, entitled sensibility.

She co-starred in another 20th TV comedy project last season, pilot Daddy’s Girls. Instead of piloting the Sulkin/Wild project, Fox opted to go straight to series with a six-episode order. Sulkin, Wild and MacFarlane executive produce. Song, repped by UTA and Susan & Cami Curtis, recently recurred on ABC’s Scandal and just started an arc on the Fox/20th TV comedy New Girl.

Brenda Song wears a cute smile sweater on her way back to her car after a workout in Los Angeles on Saturday. Boyfriend Trace Cyrus, who just debuted his new mixtape Drugstore Cowboy, recently tweeted his thanks for the record and included Brenda, 24. “Thank you Brenda Song for all the inspiration,” Trace wrote.

He added, “Thank you to my Mom for all the advice and support over the years. Also for letting me be myself and do what I love. Thank you to my dad for taking me on tour as a kid and teaching me about music and the industry. You have changed my life and you will always be my biggest idol and inspiration, I will always look up to you. Thank you to my amazing siblings Brandi, Miley, Braison, and Noah. Couldn’t imagine life with out all of you. And the biggest thanks to all my fans for sticking by my side since Metro Station.”
