Kat Von D knows how to create those magnificent tattoos, but isn't creating a line of fashion a far cry from the inking she does? After Kat revealed her new line of clothes, if you expected the reviews to warn Kat to stay with her day job, you'd be wrong. The queen of tattoos knows her fashion and while there's a bit of an edgy look to a few of her pieces, the average woman could wear these styles and rock in them!

This new Kat Von D Fashion Line offers different pieces which would appeal to a broad range of women. She got it right. One of the first things you'll notice is that the clothes are easy to dress up or dress down, making them a plus for any wardrobe. They are sensual, yet classical feminine, especially the few pieces created with the long flowing ragged edges.

Some of Kat's fashions will benefit the thin girls only, but most of her clothes will look fine on a woman with a little meat on her bones. Kat set out to create fashion that's "extremely wearable and universally flattering;" after checking out her line, you'd probably agree that she hit the mark square on! She kept her customers in mind when designing these pieces, as she wanted articles that would easily mesh into their own personal style. She also conquered that task!

Tattoo artist and former star of LA Ink, Kat Von D will be launching her new collection, Kat Von D Los Angeles, at Pure London. The latest collection is ultra sophisticated with hints of Kat’s signature style.

The range draws inspiration from various elements of nature and architecture, to love letters, and all things from time passed, with a modern romantic approach. Comfy harem trousers and fringed tops are seen alongside structured outerwear including military style coats, pointed edge blazers and pencil skirts, while black lace and ripped tees add a darker edge to the collection.

Kat Von D commented "The purpose of me creating this clothing line is simply to practice and share what Mom taught me: Express yourself through your art - whether it's your drawings in a sketchpad, tattoos on your skin, the shade of your lipstick, or the clothes that you wear."

Kat Von D Claims to Be Celibate

Kat Von D, ex-fiancee of Jesse James and tattoo artist extraordinaire, now claims she is living a life of celibacy. That brings to mind two questions. Why? And does anybody really care?

According to a report from OK Magazine, it seems that after her failed romance with Sandra Bullock's ex-husband, she decided a new approach to love was very much needed in her life. "I am celibate so I am not really looking for a partner," she says.

And apparently this celibacy is changing her life in monumental ways. "I just feel like I am on a different path now, to be honest with you," the L.A. Ink star explains. "But, it's more like respect and the way I perceive love and true love to be. It's very sacred and much bigger then sex."

Will Kat Von D change her tune the minute she meets a man who might be a step above Jesse James in terms of emotional stability? Is being celibate just another way for the tattoo artist to convince herself it's perfectly okay not to always have a man in her life? And that is perfectly okay, but does that necessarily make it celibacy?

Celibacy is a big deal, and it's not something you often hear of young, healthy people vowing to observe. It's typically something expected of those within specific religious orders, such as Catholic priests. Kat von D debuts her 2012 Spring/Summer collection lookbook entitled "Treasure Coast" on her Kat Von D Los Angeles website. Following the highly successful launch of her Fall/Winter 2010 clothing line collection, “Love Letters,” Kat von D is ready to launch her 2012 Spring/Summer collection entitled "Treasure Coast" set to be available February 14. She has already received high praise for her Fall/Winter line previously featured on the Huffington Post, CNN Entertainment and Glamour. Now, her Spring/Summer collection's lookbook found on her Kat Von D Los Angeles clothing line's website is expected to exceed the high expectations already set by fans and fashionistas alike.

“My customer is looking for pieces that can mesh easily with their personal style. It was important that we use textures and fabrics that will not only feel luxurious but also become treasures in their own right,” says Kat. Kat held very true to that notion while creating “Treasure Coast.” Although many pieces feature intricate detailing and unique styling, they are also very wearable and can fit into most peoples’ everyday styles.

Kat Von D Wears Two Different Colored Shoes

Kat Von D grabbed lunch at Urth Cafe in West Hollywood recently sporting a daring new look. The former TLC star strutted her stuff in two different colored studded sandals: one red, one black. Very White Stripes, Kat.

And the rest of Kat's look was equally quirky: a red bra topped with a tattered tee and what we're going to call a leather pants/pantyhose hybrid on the bottom. Paired with a leather hoodie, the look was pure Kat, but also kind of giving us a headache. We're just hoping all the shoes match in Kat's new clothing line. Kat Von D: My fashion line is surprising

Kat Von D says people will be "pleasantly surprised" by her "sophisticated" fashion line. The American tattoo artist has launched KvD Los Angeles - a wearable collection that includes harem pants, tailored jackets and glamorous gowns.

Kat says her demure range isn't what most people would expect from her. "It was easy to predict that most people would be pleasantly surprised by the sophistication of the line," she told People. "By no means am I rebelling from my 'tattoo roots,' but I am showing the world what truly inspires me."

Kat was enthused by a number of things around her when creating the collection. The former LA Ink star comprised different elements to come up with the basis for her ideas. "The inspiration [for the line] varies from elements of nature to architecture, to love letters, and all things from time passed, with a modern romantic approach," she revealed.

Kat wanted to create fashion that would appeal to the masses. The raven-haired star knows that her quirky personal style is not liked by everyone, so had this in mind when designing. "I've become most attached to the highly tailored pieces, especially the coats," she said.

"To me, I think it's important when creating anything for the public, that it is something that all walks of life can feel connected to. If you stick to your guns and create from a genuine place, there is a way to find a balance between the 'extreme' and the 'safe'."

Kat Von D Transitions From Tats To Fashion

As my friends will tell you, I’m pretty positive I’m clairvoyant — at least when it comes to fashion. It just so happens that Sunday evening as I relaxed for the remaining hours of the weekend, I decided to browse through my Netflix Watch Instantly and landed on LA Ink. It’s been possibly a solid year since I’ve indulged in that guilty pleasure, but it hit the spot perfectly. Not only does Kat Von D have an insanely awesome personality, but she has talent like whoa.

So yesterday, as I’m checking emails, I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw the following: Kat Von D’s new spring collection – say what?! Alright, so a lot of celeb/reality TV personality fashion collections have fallen flat, but this one is actually pretty superb. Not surprising since she already has the knack for sketching and color sense unlike other ‘designers.’

Obviously, she infused her own style of grungy 1970′s-meets-vintage pin-up and it works really well. She transitions her winter collection of Edwardian avant-garde to sensible spring. We especially love her black mini-skirt with ombre side fringe: it’s enough of a statement you can wear to work and then transition into night for cocktails. She also nailed the relaxed silhouette of wide-leg trousers with simple tops that can be worn with pretty much anything. Now, if only she would come to NYC and grant us with one of her killer tattoos, all would be right in the world.

Jesse James wants $50K engagement ring back from Kat Von D

is on a roll Tuesday, Dec. 6! First, he disses Sandra Bullock on "American Chopper," now he is reportedly demanding his $50,000 Neil Lane engagement ring back from Kat Von D.

According to Star Magazine: "Jesse James is furious with Kat Von D over her recent public claims that he cheated on her with 19 women during their relationship. But behind the scenes, an insider tells Star, he and his ex-fiancee have already declared war over the $50,000, four-carat platinum and diamond Neil Lane engagement ring he bought her last January.

'Now that he and Kat are totally broken up, Jesse wants the ring back,' says the insider. 'The money he paid for it obviously isn't going to make or break him, but Jesse's always been a tightwad.' But Kat is clawing back! 'She won't return the ring to Jesse, and she's not budging. She says she deserves it for putting up with him!'"

In January of this year, Kat Von D was spotted with Jesse James, wearing a huge engagement ring. Then, the rumors started rolling in that the twosome were engaged to be married. Since, her relationship went South and her show was canceled. Then, she got back together with this dufus, and tattooed his face on herself, only to find that he was cheating on her with 19 different women.

Now that it’s all said and done, Jesse wants his engagement ring back. We’re guessing it’s because he’s near broke and needs the cash. He spent $50,000 on the ring, but after cheating on her, they broke off their engagement. Should she return it?

The ring is a $50,000 four-carat platinum and diamond Neil Lane engagement ring. A source said, “Now that he and Kat are totally broken up, Jesse wants the ring back. The money he paid for it obviously isn’t going to make or break him, but Jesse’s always been a tightwad.”The snitch went on to reveal, “She won’t return the ring to Jesse, and she’s not budging. She says she deserves it for putting up with him!”We couldn’t agree more. She needs to pawn that ring and invest the money into something that will make her happy. Clothes, maybe? A new car?
