Kelly Clarkson is ''bossy as hell'' ever since she suffered a near breakdown. The 'Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)' singer was miserable in 2007 because she was being worked too hard and after finally standing up for herself, she is enjoying being more authoritative.

She told Now magazine:'' We did nine tours, I had no life. I was working every day. There was so much pressure and everyone just kept pushing. I didn't realise I was the boss or that I had the power to say no. In the end, I just told everyone; 'I have no desire to be the biggest star in the world. I'd rather have a life and be semi-famous'. I'm bossy as hell now, I love working but it isn't my whole life.''Kelly also revealed she regrets using Auto-Tune on one of her biggest hits 'Since U Been Gone' because it makes all singers sound the same.

She said: ''I won a singing competition so I should never need Auto-Tune. In my opinion it makes Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Ke$ha and myself all sound like robots. ''When I listen back to 'Since U Been Gone' I sound like a robot. It sounds a hundred times better when I sing it live.''

Kelly Clarkson gave fans a special treat at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia last night by paying tribute to the late, great Whitney Houston, with former & fellow American Idol alum Tamyra Gray joining her on-stage to duet on the song “Exhale (Shoop Shoop)”. This was so good we couldn’t not post it. See the video below. Also spotted in attendance at Clarkson’s show yesterday evening were some cast from the Vampire Diaries including Candice Accola, Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev.

Kelly Clarkson performed for a sold out crowd Thursday night at the Fox Theatre on her Stronger Tour 2012. Matt Nathanson was the opener. Kelly Brianne Clarkson was born on April 24, 1982, in Ft. Worth, Texas. The singer, songwriter and actress came into prominence after becoming the winner of the inaugural season of American Idol in 2002 and later was the runner-up in the television special World Idol in 2003. In 2003, Clarkson released her debut album, Thankful, which was a commercial success and established herself in the pop music industry.

The release of its first single, “A Moment Like This” (2002), broke The Beatles’ record for the biggest leap to number one, from 52, in the history of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. In a career spanning a decade, Clarkson has become the most successful Idol contestant around the world, with over 24 million albums and 39 million singles worldwide, according to Billboard and Nielsen SoundScan. Clarkson’s work also gained her numerous accolades, including two Grammy Awards, three MTV Video Music Awards, 12 Billboard Music Awards, four American Music Awards and a Women’s World Award. Billboard also ranked Clarkson the number 14 artist of the 2000s, as well as also being ranked on the top 200 album sellers of the Nielsen SoundScan era at number 187.

:: Diddy has confirmed that his very own cable television network, Revolt TV, is a go! The music mogul confirmed that the music-based channel will air Making The Band reunions, along with other specials.

:: Simon Cowell originally hired Steve Jones and Nicole Scherzinger to dually host the US version of The X Factor. Now after firing both Steve and Nicole, Simon says that having two hosts is back on the decision table. “Simon’s vision was always to have a man and woman host and to make it feel a little bit like an award ceremony.”

:: Justin Bieber, who recently recorded a song with Far East Movement, is set to release another book. Just Getting Better will focus on Justin’s world-wide tour, the making of his movie Never Say Never, and the tome will give you a sneak peek of him recording his new album. You can get your copy when it hits stores in September.

:: Ladies, he’s single! Nick Jonas and Australian singer Delta Goodrem have reportedly called off their year long relationship. They mutually agreed to break up to focus on their careers.

Kelly Clarkson Covers Demi Lovato’s Song Skyscraper

The former American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson decided to give much props to Demi Lovato by covering her song Skyscraper during a recent concert date.

You can check out the video of Kelly covering the song below, but this is no surprise as she has been taking requests from her fans at each of her concert stops. Kelly told the Universal Studios crowd in Orlando that Skyscraper must be a particular tune that has been asked for in every city. She even commented to the crowd that Demi is such a great vocalist and says that anyone who has ever had a rough time can relate to the song. Meanwhile, this week Kelly’s song “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)’ has reached the top of the Hot 100 chart. The song is Clarkson’s third number one hit. Her previous hits include A Moment Like This and her hit in 2009 with “My Life Would Suck Without You.”

“Stronger” remains at Number One on Billboard’s Digital Songs chart for a second week. According to Nielsen SoundScan, the track sold 237,000 copies during the past week. Kelly has also teamed up with DoSomething.org and VH1 Save the Music Foundation to spread the message of the importance of musical education in schools. What do you think of Kelly’s cover?

Kelly Clarkson's Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You) is shaping up to be her biggest hit in a few years. Kelly, who visited Florida's Walt Disney World Resort Sunday, current has her single at No. 2 on USA TODAY's Hot AC chart, No. 6 at Top 40 and No. 19 at AC. And, with nearly 16,000 spins, it's getting more airplay than the next three Idol singles -- Kelly's Mr. Know It All, Scotty McCreery's The Trouble With Girls and Daughtry's Crawling Back to You -- combined.

Jennifer Hudson's Think Like a Man makes a strong jump at the Urban format, where it's now a top-30 single. Also, Jennifer's Grammys performance of I Will Always Love You makes the American Idol airplay chart this week, at No. 67.

Elliott Yamin's new single, 3 Words, makes its debut on the Idol airplay chart this week as well. And Danny Gokey's My Best Days Are Ahead of Me shows up on the chart for the first time in many weeks. Welcome back, Danny!

Having herself a magical weekend in the Sunshine State, Kelly Clarkson paid a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The "Mr. Know It All" singer wore an ear-to-ear smile on her face as she joined alongside Princess Belle and Beast from Disney's 'Beauty and the Beast' while situated in the Rose Garden area of the Magic Kingdom theme park.

The previous night, Miss Clarkson was busy doing what she does best - as she performed a show at Universal Studios Orlando. With Kelly's rendition of her hit song "Since U Been Gone" available for viewing below, the stage effort was held as part of the Mardi Gras Concert Series.

Talk about a blast from the past! But a very welcome one, mind you! Back when they were both touring together after their respective runs on American Idol, Kelly Clarkson and Clay Aiken used to perform a BEAUTIFUL cover of the Journey classic Open Arms!

Well, gurl must have been feeling nostalgic during the Biloxi date of her 2012 Stronger Tour, as she performed the track again - and surprised the audience by bringing her former duet partner on stage with her for a little help! Ch-ch-check it out (above)! Amazing! They sound better than ever! P.S. We LOVE hearing the girls in the audience LOSE IT when Clay walks out! Ha!

So Kelly Clarkson’s “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)” logs another week at #1 on the charts, its second and Kelly’s sixth overall at pole position. But the story on the charts this week is a song making its first appearance on the Hot 100 in nearly two decades—Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You,” getting bought and played on the radio like it’s 1992 all over again, due to the attention brought by Whitney’s recent untimely death. Normally, songs that have already charted well in the past are not eligible to re-chart on the Hot 100, but Billboard rulemakers have decided to change the rules for Whit this time around.

“As the digital age has progressed, with the immediacy it provides, the line has blurred between the relevancy of new and older recordings,” explains Billboard director of charts Silvio Pietroluongo. “Going forward we feel that it is the proper move to allow older titles posting enough activity to return to the Hot 100 if ranking in the chart’s upper half.” Thus, “I Will Always Love You” is the #7 song in the country this week, and previous #1s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)” and “The Greatest Love of All” are also charting this week, at #35 and #41, respectively. It’ll be interesting to see what kind of effect this rule change will have on future chart installments—will we be seeing miscellaneous older songs re-charting due to use on Idol or Voice, or because they’re used in a commercial?

Speaking of used in a commercial, Fun. and Janelle Monae, whose “We Are Young” was used in a high-profile Chevy Sonic ad that debuted this Super Bowl, are the other big winners this week, as “Young” rockets from #41 all the way to #3 on the Hot 100 this week, falling just one behind Adele’s “Set Fire to the Rain.” Meanwhile, Madonna ranks her still-record 38th top ten single on the charts with “Give Me All Your Lovin’,” bounding 13-10 and giving Nicki Minaj her seventh top ten and M.I.A. just her second. Busy times on the charts this week, and expect Katy Perry to make things interesting next week with her likely digital #1 “Part of Me,” undoubtedly generating debate over whether it should count as a Teenage Dream #1 off the album’s re-issue. (It shouldn’t, and doesn’t.)

Kelly Clarkson's 'Stronger' album sales up 51% post-Grammys

Several albums saw big sales gains following Sunday night's Grammy Awards, but most American Idol acts didn't get to participate in the bounty. After singing with Jason Aldean on the telecast, Kelly Clarkson saw weekly sales of her Stronger album climb 51%, but no other Idol act on the Billboard 200 saw increased sales last week, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

The Civil Wars, whose Joy Williams has contributed songs to David Archuleta's albums, look to be the breakout act from the show. Week-to-week sales of the duo's Barton Hollow album nearly tripled after they performed an abbreviated version of the song Sunday. Six-award winner Adele, of course, won big again, as sales of 21 nearly doubled from the previous week. Her debut album, 19, also climbed back into the top 10.

Whitney Houston's sales skyrocketed after her death Saturday. The late singer placed four albums and two soundtracks in the top 200.
