Lindsay Lohan Receives Positive Feedback From Judge

LOS ANGELES — Lindsay Lohan drew praise Wednesday from a judge who said the actress was one court hearing away from putting a long-running drunken driving case behind her. "Ms. Lohan, you're in the home stretch," Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner told the actress. "The probation officer is pleased with your progress."

The former Disney star has progressed under strict probation guidelines imposed by Sautner last year, including weekly stints working at the morgue and therapy sessions. Lohan, 25, now has to work 14 days at the morgue and attend five therapy sessions before the judge ends her probation on a 2007 drunken driving case that has dogged Lohan for years. She is due back in court on March 29 for what could be her final court appearance if she stays out of trouble.

Lohan would remain on informal probation for a case filed after she took a necklace without permission in January 2011 but would no longer have to report to a probation officer or appear in court for frequent updates. The model-actress is attempting a career comeback and is scheduled to host "Saturday Night Live" on March 3. "You seem to be getting your life back on track," Sautner told her.

On Tuesday evening, the actress hit her Twitter page, responding to fans who sent her well wishes, including congratulating her on news Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush first broke on Monday – she’s scored the role of Liz Taylor in the Lifetime TV movie “Liz and Dick.”“Thank You So Much!” she wrote back to one user who Tweeted, “Congrats Lindsay on SNL and the Liz role.”

The actress is due in court on Wednesday for a progress report hearing, and she indicated she has been fulfilling her court ordered obligations. “I’m only on for quick moments at a time lol… i’m actually cleaning - was at community service all day,” she wrote when one fan expressed their dismay at not being able to Tweet the star when she happens to pop online.

Another fan told Lindsay to “stay strong,” and Lindsay replied, showing off her determination. “i’m a tough cookie! a focused tough cookie! :)” she wrote. And when a Twitter user called her their childhood crush, she thanked them for their kind words.

“omg! really? that’s so cool hahaha thank you xoxo - sorry for the ups and downs… only going up up up from here!” she added.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, a source told Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush that Lindsay scored the role of Elizabeth Taylor in the Lifetime TV movie, “Liz and Dick,” with one legal-related caveat: Lindsay needs to stay on the right side of court.

According to the source, if the actress continues to stick to the judge’s orders, as she has been doing, she will be playing the “Cleopatra” beauty in the Lifetime made-for-TV film about the late actress. In addition, she will host “Saturday Night Live” on March 3, with Jack White as the musical guest.

Lindsay Lohan will be making a high-profile appearance on Saturday, March 3, and this one isn’t court-ordered. “SNL! I love +NBC !!!!!!!!!!!!!,” 25-year-old Lohan tweeted after NBC’s Saturday Night Live revealed in an on-air promo and Twitter posting that she would host its March 3 episode.

“That’s right: March 3rd, +lindsaylohan with musical guest Jack White!! See you then! #SNL #March3rd,” the show tweeted. Lohan publicist Steve Honig confirmed that she would host the show. The gig will be the first onscreen appearance in months for Lohan, who has been in the news for legal problems that began back in 2007 after two convictions for driving while drunk. She could be free to work again next month if she concludes her public service assignments, following stints in jail, court-ordered rehab and probation.

Lohan reportedly was paid nearly $1 million to pose for Playboy magazine’s December issue in photos taken in a style reminiscent of the nude photograph of Marilyn Monroe that graced the debut issue of Playboy in 1953.

New York: Lindsay Lohan's comeback trail is leading her to Saturday Night Live. NBC says the troubled actress, whose career in recent years has been upstaged by legal and personal problems, will serve as guest host of SNL on March 3. The network said on Sunday that the musical guest that night will be Jack White. It will be Lohan's fourth turn as host of the late-night comedy show. She presided in 2004, 2005 and 2006, before her career faltered. In recent years, she has mostly been in the public eye in connection with her multiple arrests and episodes of substance abuse.

Lindsay Lohan has done it again, posing for some racy new photos featuring the actress in racy lingerie and upskirt shots for famed photographer Terry Richardson. Lohan made national headlines by posing for Playboy earlier this year. These new photos would not be out of place in a smut mag of similar ilk. What happened to the wholesome little freckly-faced kid America knew?

While not x-rated, several of the new pictures leave very little to the imagination concerning Lindsay's private anatomy. Some of these snapshots are to be used in an upcoming article in Love magazine. All of them will be making their rounds via the Internet.

What is the public to make of LiLo's latest career turn? Is she ultimately pigeon-holing herself into doing B-movies and softcore Cinemax porn for the rest of her life? Or is she just getting the old confidence back up, delighting in the fact that a few lonely old Internet surfers and magazine browsers are still actually interested in seeing her in various (increasingly lewd) phases of undress, hiding behind a chimera of so-called "artistic merit" (which is, in fact, thinly veiled pornography)?

One cannot deny that Lohan has an amazingly voluptuous and buxom body. But must she be showcasing so much of it so suddenly? What must her parents, Michael and Dina, think? Oh, wait, on second thought, don't ask them. Maybe they should start checking the water on the sets of some of these Disney shows. Get thee to a nunnery, young ladies!

Lindsay Lohan working out agreement to resolve unpaid taxes

Lindsay Lohan is working out an agreement to resolve unpaid taxes, according to her representative. The IRS has filed another federal tax lien against the actress, who now owes the Internal Revenue Service a total of $140,203.30 (£89,375), reports E! News.

According to documents revealed last month, the government's first tax lien on the actress was in the amount of $93,701.57 (£60,630.17). Lohan's spokesperson Steve Honig said: "Lohan's business manager is working out an acceptable arrangement with the IRS and hopes to have the matter solved shortly."Meanwhile, Lindsay's estranged father Michael Lohan has reportedly applied for a job at Burger King under the advice of his counsellor.

Lindsay Lohan's Tax Problems Reveal a Deeper Issue

I'd never thought I'd say this because it reminds me of being scolded as a child and forbidden from having dessert FOR A WHOLE WEEK, buuuut ... lindsay Lindsay LINDSAY! What were you thinking?! I'm not talking, nor is anyone else, about myself, I'm talking of course about Lindsay Lohan. She needs the chastising of her lifetime right now, and if Dina's too drunk to do it, I'll step up. It's been reported today that LiLo hasn't paid her 2010 federal income tax. Nor has she paid her 2009 federal taxes. Lindsay! Lindsay! Lindsay!

Someone needs to grab this girl by the blonde extensions and wake her up because there are only two things that are certain in life: death and taxes. LiLo can run, but she can't hide.

She owes the government, in total from '09 and '10, around $243,000. And I guarantee you she's going to have to pay every last cent. No one gets a Get Out of Taxes Free card, no matter how famous you are. Just ask Wesley Snipes.

She's got a few months to file this year's report, and um, someone better get on her about that. If she fails to pay up again, uh oh, could be back to jail for her.

The only thing that worries me about this news, besides the fact that there's probably a federally funded education program that could use her 243 Gs right about now, is the fact that Lindsay might think she could get away with not paying her share. And if she thinks she can hide from taxes, does she also think she can hide from death? If she considers one certainty to be a contingency, then it's possible she feels that way about another.

And by the way she's been acting and looking recently, it's almost likely that Lindsay thinks she can escape death just as "successfully" as she's skipped out on taxes. Unfortunately, it doesn't work like that. The Grim Reaper and the IRS don't take no for an answer. And if you provoke them, if you piss them the hell off, they'll be at your doorstep before you can say, "Wait! Let me call my manager!"

She’s no stranger to airports, and last night (February 12) Lindsay Lohan was spotted at LAX along with her sister Ali . The “Georgia Rule” actress looked studious in a pair of thick-rimmed spectacles along with a black jacket and burnt orange bell bottoms.

In related news, LiLo is calling foul on a furniture moving employee who she claims photographed her belongings while packing up her stuff. Lindsay says the man sold the pictures to fans and is even leaking the location of her storage facility and where she’s planning on moving.
