Just last month I've got paid by Matched.co.uk, and now that I received this notification about the sudden shut down of this generous UK based blog advertising network.

It is with much regret that we announce that Matched.co.uk has closed.

Matched has been running as a beta experiment for some time and, after much careful consideration, it has been decided not to progress the project to the next stage.

As a result, Matched will not be accepting new sign-ups and will no longer be assigning adverts to its current publisher base.

All publishers who completed their latest payment run before November 19th 2008 will still be paid, but please note that no further payments will be made after this. Therefore, we recommend that all publishers remove any Matched ads from their websites.

If you are earning with Matched.co.uk, please bear in mind that you need to comply to the terms of services before you would be able to get paid. Since I have already meeting their requirements, so hoping to get my first payment in next month then. *smile*

Here at Matched.co.uk we're noticing that some publishers are placing more than one ad on their pages.

The terms and conditions of the service state that only one Matched ad can appear on each webpage, and that must be the page that the ad has been assigned to.

If you currently have more than one Matched ad on a website page, you risk not being paid.

You need to ensure, therefore, that you do not have more than one ad on each page. If your ad is appearing on multiple pages because you've put it in your sidebar, you need to move it to the main body of the page it's been assigned to.

If your blog is powered by WordPress, some friendly Matched users have created code that will allow you to have the Matched ad in the sidebar but not appearing on every page.

To use the code for free, simply log into the Matched Forum and go to http://forum.matched.co.uk/showthread.php?t=75.
If more than one Matched ad is appearing on a website page it's vital that you address the issue immediately and ensure that only the ad assigned for the page is displayed.

How to Place DNeero Conversation in Your Website or Blog

After a friend in MyLot signed up for DNeero, he was curios about the banner-looked code that he had, rather than the ordinary dialog box like what I've in my blog. It reminded me that I have forgotten to give you all an after-sign-up guidance. Yes, I would say it's rather confusing for a new comer as I used to be, it was after a few exploring that I started to realise where shall I start with.

Ok, if you sign up in Dneero and updated your profile (this will affect the nature of conversations you will get), you can actually start with Social People and click on Find Conversations to participate in conversations you are interested in.

FoxCash is Gone?

I noticed something fishy these few days when I tried to login FoxCash account. It seems they are going into construction state again, which you have to enter admin password in order to get into their site. Their previous announcements of being hacked numerous time had raised my cautious on this site, so I'm not really sure either they had been hacked again or it's just a routine maintenance they have. Either way, it's best that you exit the following windows and not to enter any username or password as requested.

There are many rumors spreading concerning the financial problems that FoxCash and their sister site, XClix are facing now. It's witness by the extremely slow paying pace to their members. I still have pending payment from FoxCash since 13 July. Their first payout was quick, which was within hours but the glamor time has faded.

After my third cashout from ClixnCash, I've decided to accumulate my earnings to at least $1.00 before making another payout request. As I made the request today, noticed the changed of their minimum payout as well as the payment processors.

Just an headups, ClixnCash had raised the minimum payout level to $0.50 for PayPal withdrawal which used to be only $0.25. While the $0.50 E-gold withdrawal is no longer available, it's replaced by the minimum $1.02 cashout to AlertPay instead.

I have just received my first instance payment from NeoBux, ever heard of the fast payment within 24 hours but never really expect it to be actually instantly paid. Uronlinebux Released from the DoS Attack

Most of us know that UrOnlineBux was down due to the DoS attacked that they cannot access their regular mail or process any orders during the intense attack. It happened because Uronlinebux didn't give in to the the person who sent black mails demanding for money or he will perform DoS attack to their (UrOnlineBux) server.

Today, the site is up again and they have installed a new software that hopefully will reduce future DoS attack. Just before login the site to check my balance there, I had a feeling that I'll lost partial of my balance. I didn't put much hope to have my original balance back, with the thought that they might just restore the account with their last back-uped database which maybe like few weeks or a month back.

But I was wrong with that assumption, I got my original balance restored because they did database backup every 6 hours and stored them on external hard drives outside the server. So, they claimed "No matter what happens to the server we can restore everything like it was before the attack".

This is a good practice and I think other PTC sites should have followed in order to gain trust from their members, don't you reckon?

Blackmailers Attacked PTC Industry

Often in the movie, we see how rich people are being threaten by the blackmails or threaten phone calls, but I've never expect this had happened to PTC industry as well.

That's the reason why UrOnlineBux.com was down for few days. Below are the messages from the owner of UrOnlineBux :

On Saturday the 16th of August UrOnlineBiz recieved blackmail from a person demanding money or he would perform a DoS attack on our servers. Two other emails just like this came on Sunday. At the same time the server started getting attacked and it continued throughout Monday and is still going on as I am writing this article. We contacted several other PTC sites that seemed to have problems and some of them confirmed that they were under attack too. So far no one has given in to the blackmailers demands and the attacks grows stronger.
UrOnlineBiz and UrOnlineBux contacted the police and Interpol last night and this morning we talked to the person in charge of the investigation. All black mail has been sent to the police and they are now tracing it to see if they can find the responsible person.

So hopefully they are able to resolve the problem the soonest possible.

I liked the Bux3 programs from the beginning, it came out just at the right timing which was during the golden period of Bux.to. With the same theme as Bux.to and its name that sounds like a continuation of ~~Bux2~~ Bux.to, they had gained members very fast in a short period that Bux.to had to clarify they are indeed different entities. Bux3.com'd fast payment had gained them satisfied members at the earlier stage, they even displayed their business plan for all to see. Bux3.com received well many investment and then they started their other sites, world-bux and bux3.net.

Nevertheless, I have started to give out on Bux3.com and World-bux.com due to the pending payout from Bux3.com since 29 April 2008. That was way longer than the standard promised of paying out to members within 30 days of request.

I've stopped clicking there until one day I decided to check out the site again, and noticed an ad at bux3.com displaying bux3.com for sale. So, I went to the forums to see if I could drill something out. I noticed many angry people complaining about non-payment, and the next day the forum was gone.

When you access Bux3.com today, all you see are the listing of other parking sites with the note that "This domain may be for sale by its owner!". Now, that I look back and recalled how many months did they run ads to no where? either under construction, 404, page no longer available, etc... These are all the hints that the Bux3 network will be gone soon...

I am just giving fair warning that these 3 sites (Bux3.com, Bux3.net and World-bux.com) will probably not pay if they reappeal. So, do not make any investment when it reappeal to avoid unneccesary lost of your hard earned money unless we are sure the new owners are reliable.

What a Smart Stealer....

It has been few days I haven't online nor checking mails due to my admission to the hospital since Monday for treatment of my ear infection. It was tiring and painful experience, now being back home but still under medication as my ear drum's infection is not 100% recovered yet.

Anyway, back to the topic. I have been busy clearing the mess in my inbox and as always, terms like AlertPay and PayPal in the subject had always drawn my attention first. (don't laugh at me but I bet you are the same too, lol).

Not again, another phishing circulation but not in my junk box this time, but in the Inbox instead. You can see the screenshot of the email I received here. The subject says Alertpay: Validate your Account. Hmm, I would say they are really smart people trying to steal away your AlertPay password.

Why I said so?

If you hover to the link given in the email, although it looks exactly the formal site of Alertpay, but in fact it will direct you to another site in which the web address looks rather similar to Alertpay's site, ie. aiertpay - substituted the l with i.

They made the email looks very close to the official emails Alertpay used to send to members. In addition the warning clauses at the bottom (which I highlighted in red box) would gain trust of members and thus get trapped.

If you followed my post, this is not the first warning I talked about the payment processor popular phishing tactic around. Reason why I've to reiterate this kind of alert was because there is always someone who's in doubt when come across this situation, they are not sure whether or not to validate their account after reading the email. Furthermore, this morning I found some members (in MyLot) complaining about the lost of money from their Alertpay account after validated their password through those fake links.

My answer is: You can validate provided every time you login to any payment processor's site, always enter by typing in the web address yourself, do not enter via any link given in the email. If you are lazy to type each and everytime, can just save the site as favourite or bookmark it for future use.

I was just testing on the Credits2Cash feature of GOT Safelist the day before, that brought me this payment yesterday.

MyLot's New Look

It's been few days since I last login to my MyLot account for posting up some discussions, to my surprise the site layout had been revamped when I was there today and it looks great!

They have a more comprehensive and easy navigation now, the left vertical bars has now nicely queued on top of the page horizontally. Most of the things had been changed to different locations, in other words it will take me some getting used to the new layout.

Ok, am done screening through knowing roughly where to get all my desired path. MyLot had stressed that there are no changes as to their commitment to pay each and every one of us for the content we submit.
