After the beautiful Herve Leger by Max Azria Bandage swimsuit, its now turn of Brazilian Super Star Luiza Bonadiman to show off with her cut-out and tightly bound swimsuits from her latest S/S 10 collection, showed in Fashion Rio few weeks ago! Nothing to say but Brazilian swimwear brands are definitely some of the hottest in the planet! (and women too!)…

I can not stop watching Ciara featuring Missy Elliot’s “Work” video! Every piece of this production is hitting the right key, from the sick beat that sets the tone for the bad ass, roots popping and grinding choreography to the style and set, its makes me wanna jump right through that screen. The track is good on its own but it really comes to life in the video.

Ahah its the funniest thing I have seen in a long time ! Paris, Lindsey and the Olsen twins will Love this!  Adam Harvey has created an Anti-paparazzi clutch – ” Photos? No, thanks! In response to the rise of paparazzi Adam created an anti-paparazzi device that communicates the desire to NOT be photographed. When the device detects a camera flash it responds with another flash that obscures the photo. Building phase 3.0 in progress.” I wish we could see the bags itself, but its still a genius idea that could blow up amongst the celebrities !!

Scottish designer, Holly Fulton, graduated 10 years ago from Edinburgh College of Art with a BA in Fashion and after graduating in 2007 with her MA at the Royal College of Art in London,  is now showing her latest “art deco style” collection ! Shown as part of Fashion East, she has collaborated with CRYSTALLIZED Swarovski Elements to help add the extra sparkle to her stand out collection. Her style reminds me a lot of Mary Katrantzou. See her outstanding first runway collection video (below)! She’s definitely a designer to watch!

Back with yet another brilliantly edited and forwardly cohesive menswear collection is Olivier Borde, Garde-Robe for SS10. This designer duo is making a name in fusing fashion antonyms. Their collection can be described as a love scene where the prepster met the grunger or the fine line between the slouch and the polished. It is a mix of all that we love. See their statement about the SS10 Collection, Brutality in Pale Colors, below.

Collection Statement
Inspired by the almost post-urban mood of the Pieter Hugo series ‘The Hyena Men’ where the tranquil ferocity of the animal is held at the neck by young men. Dressed in multiple layers of soft, used, dusty and pale-colored clothes that also evoke the tone of Jackie Nickerson’s ‘Farm’. This is transposed into bespoke denim goods where raw cut edges mix with delicate details.

Australian label Yes Vincent creates some great feathered collars, cuffs and headbands, unfortunately they don’t have a site or any retailers in the US, but you can contact them through their Myspace page (old school !)

Beautiful Ink illustrations by Sydney based artist Rebecca Wetzler. She has contributed to magazines such as Vogue Australia, Oyster, Nylon and Deanne Cheuk’s illustration project, Neomu. French born Robert Masciave came to the UK at the age of 19. After leaving school at 15, he joined a technical college where he studied electronics and mechanics. Robert realized 2 years later that he was destined to do something very different! He worked for an internationally salon as artistic director for 11 years and opened his salon in 1999, METROPOLIS Hairdressing Ltd in London. Metropolis was reviewed by The Sunday Times and Vogue as being “the most stylish salon in the area’ and reported to be ‘an excellent and enjoyable experience with well-mannered staff.” He became well known for his technical excellence combined with vision and creativity. How long has it been since you’ve heard a cool song with a flute? The first one that jumps to my mind is “Watermelon Man” and that was back in ‘73. The flute’s gotten a bad rep over the years, partly because its been used so wrong so many times, and partly because its not a team player. The flute often takes center stage, so any vocalist trying to compete will surely come up short. So when you’re going flute, you gotta go big. And this song by Javelin succeeds. Why? Well, there’s nothing that will ruin coolness quicker than its deconstruction, but let’s go ahead and try anyway… Part of the reason this Javelin song is so sweet is that its diverse. It’s at once mellow, energetic, funky (fonky bass!), brief, and its got touches of disco. Plus, if ‘Saturday Night Fever’ were set in modern times and John Travolta wasn’t such an asshat, you could picture him dance- walking down the street in the opening credits to this beat.

LIFE photographer Gjon Mili visited Picasso in 1949. Mili showed the artist some of his photographs of ice skaters with tiny lights affixed to their skates jumping in the dark—and Picasso’s mind began to race. The series of photographs that follows—Picasso’s light drawings—were made with a small flashlight in a dark room; the images vanished almost as soon as they were created. [via LIFE]

Portland-based artist Matt W Moore collaborated with The Cool Hunter for an upcoming project of customizing the Mini Cooper with his retro, abstract inspired graphics and the super-cool PacMan! With a steely, 80s graffiti-edge the result is pretty Sick!

Photographer Greg Williams has shot with the most beautiful models, the most famous celebrities and for the most fashionable magazines! He has also produced ad campaigns and some (sexy) commercials like the Agent Provocateur with British model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley or the Wake up Megan Fox (below) for Esquire – Greg’s photographic style merges documentary together with cinematic lighting and composition.

As a portrait photographer he has worked with many of the world’s most popular actors including Catherine Zeta Jones, Brad Pitt, Cate Blanchett, George Clooney, Naomi Watts, Sean Penn, Robert Downey Jnr, Keira Knightly and Daniel Craig for such magazines as Vanity Fair, GQ, L’uomo Vogue and Esquire.

In recent years Greg started shooting fashion, mostly for Vogue Italia, for whom he has shot several 20+ page editorials.

One of my favorite fashion editorials of all time! Siri Tollerod in “The Vagaries of Fashion” by Miles Aldridge for Vogue Italia May 2008. I saw the Aldridge exhibition in NY and this editorial was exhibited in large format – a true pleasure! I love how he stages everything, every little details,  the outfits fit perfectly with their surroundings, and the colors are just perfect ! Miles is def one of the top 5 fashion photographers alive !
