As you know chemical released by plastic water bottles can cause cancer (It is not the water that affects you a but the chemical released from the bottle)
How to avoid: Check the bottom of the bottle there should be a triangle sign and there will be a number on it. If the number is higher than or equal to 5 --> then this bottle is safe to use. Numbers under 5 will release the chemical. For most bottled water, the number is 1. Remember to check and stop reusing those bottles

Nuclear bombs involve the forces, strong and weak, that hold the nucleus of an atom together, especially atoms with unstable nuclei (see How Nuclear Radiation Works for details). There are two basic ways that nuclear energy can be released from an atom:
Nuclear fission - You can split the nucleus of an atom into two smaller fragments with a neutron. This method usually involves isotopes of uranium (uranium-235, uranium-233) or plutonium-239.
Nuclear fusion -You can bring two smaller atoms, usually hydrogen or hydrogen isotopes (deuterium, tritium), together to form a larger one (helium or helium isotopes); this is how the sun produces energy.

A fission bomb uses an element like uranium-235 to create a nuclear explosion. If you have read How Nuclear Radiation Works, then you understand the basic process behind radioactive decay and fission. Uranium-235 has an extra property that makes it useful for both nuclear-power production and nuclear-bomb production -- U-235 is one of the few materials that can undergo induced fission. If a free neutron runs into a U-235 nucleus, the nucleus will absorb the neutron without hesitation, become unstable and split immediately.

This figure shows a uranium-235 nucleus with a neutron approaching from the top. As soon as the nucleus captures the neutron, it splits into two lighter atoms and throws off two or three new neutrons (the number of ejected neutrons depends on how the U-235 atom happens to split). A pound of highly enriched uranium as used in a nuclear bomb is equal to something on the order of a million gallons of gasoline. When you consider that a pound of uranium is smaller than a baseball and a million gallons of gasoline would fill a cube that is 50 feet per side (50 feet is as tall as a five-story building), you can get an idea of the amount of energy available in just a little bit of U-235. In order for these properties of U-235 to work, a sample of uranium must be enriched . Weapons-grade uranium is composed of at least 90-percent U-235.
Critical MassIn a fission bomb, the fuel must be kept in separate subcritical masses, which will not support fission, to prevent premature detonation. Critical mass is the minimum mass of fissionable material required to sustain a nuclear fission reaction. This separation brings about several problems in the design of a fission bomb that must be solved:
The two or more subcritical masses must be brought together to form a supercritical mass, which will provide more than enough neutrons to sustain a fission reaction, at the time of detonation.
Free neutrons must be introduced into the supercritical mass to start the fission.
As much of the material as possible must be fissioned before the bomb explodes to prevent fizzle. To bring the subcritical masses together into a supercritical mass, two techniques are used:
Gun-triggered
Implosion Neutrons are introduced by making a neutron generator. This generator is a small pellet of polonium and beryllium, separated by foil within the fissionable fuel core. In this generator:
The foil is broken when the subcritical masses come together and polonium spontaneously emits alpha particles.
These alpha particles then collide with beryllium-9 to produce beryllium-8 and free neutrons.
The neutrons then initiate fission. Finally, the fission reaction is confined within a dense material called a tamper, which is usually made of uranium-238. The tamper gets heated and expanded by the fission core. This expansion of the tamper exerts pressure back on the fission core and slows the core's expansion. A Bit of HistoryLet's start at the beginning.

A credit card is a thin plastic card, usually 3-1/8 inches by 2-1/8 inches in size, that contains identification information such as a signature or picture, and authorizes the person named on it to charge purchases or services to his account -- charges for which he will be billed periodically. Today, the information on the card is read by automated teller machines (ATMs), store readers, and bank and Internet computers.

TimelineAccording to Encyclopedia Britannica, the use of credit cards originated in the United States during the 1920s, when individual companies, such as hotel chains and oil companies, began issuing them to customers for purchases made at those businesses.

The first universal credit card -- one that could be used at a variety of stores and businesses -- was introduced by Diners Club, Inc., in 1950. With this system, the credit-card company charged cardholders an annual fee and billed them on a monthly or yearly basis. Another major universal card -- "Don't leave home without it!" -- was established in 1958 by the American Express company.

Later came the bank credit-card system. Under this plan, the bank credits the account of the merchant as sales slips are received (this means merchants are paid quickly -- something they love!) and assembles charges to be billed to the cardholder at the end of the billing period. The cardholder, in turn, pays the bank either the entire balance or in monthly installments with interest (sometimes called carrying charges).

The first national bank plan was BankAmericard, which was started on a statewide basis in 1959 by the Bank of America in California. This system was licensed in other states starting in 1966, and was renamed Visa in 1976.

Other major bank cards followed, including MasterCard, formerly Master Charge. In order to offer expanded services, such as meals and lodging, many smaller banks that earlier offered credit cards on a local or regional basis formed relationships with large national or international banks.

Convictions Car Insurance

In recent years the number of uninsured drivers has risen to 1 in 20, that is both an astounding and appalling number in our eyes. We thought we'd take this opportunity to talk about some of the measures that are being taken to stamp this number down to something a bit more sensible.
We don't see why convictions and car insurance can't go together, so that's simply no excuse for driving uninsured. Many people have a few points on their license these days but thats another discussion.
Last year Professor David Greenway lead a review to find out what can be done to sort this problem out once and for all. Unfortunately the answer isn't as simple as "reduce insurance premiums" because the insurance houses need to be sure that they can cover any potential losses.
The report concluded that offenders simply aren't worried about being caught because the punishments are often trivial in the offenders eyes. If someone is caught driving without insurance, they are usually fined £200 and have their license (if they have one) confiscated. They are often convicted of driving without car insurance but this has little effect on people who knowingly do it.
You have to ask yourself who thought up these rules because the kind of person who repeatedly drives without insurance isn't really going to be bothered about losing their license are they? If you ask us, there should be much harsher punishments available, we won't say what they are in case any children are reading this.
However, we all understand that you can occassionally forget to renew your insurance and we don't feel these people should be penalised too heavily, everybody forgets things from time to time and I think we just need to use a little common sense.
However, it looks like the government might finally be getting it's act together and are bringing in some more legisalation that they hope is going to reduce this problem.

Students Should Consolidate Loans before July 1 Deadline

There roughly are seven weeks remaining until interest rates on student loans are expected to greatly increase and rules and regulations will change. College and graduate students alike will feel a major pinch unless they now take action to consolidate their student loans.
Students throughout the country will feel considerable negative effects due to the passing Feb. 8 of the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005, S. 1932. WHAT IS A CITIBANK CONSOLIDATION LOAN?

A Citibank Federal Consolidation Loan combines several existing student loans into one new loan. You can enjoy the convenience of lower monthly payments, a single fixed interest rate and one monthly payment.

WHAT IS THE INTEREST RATE?

The interest rate for a Consolidation Loan is the weighted average of the interest rates on the loans being consolidated, rounded up to the nearest one-eighth of one percent. This rate is fixed and cannot exceed 8.25%. You may be able to take advantage of a rate as low as 5.3751.The interest rate on a Consolidation Loan is set according to federal law.

HOW CAN I CONSOLIDATE MY LOAN WITH THE GRACE RATE?

You have the option of consolidating your loan during your grace period and taking advantage of a rate as low as 5.375%1. It is important to remember that you must indicate the month and year of your grace end date in #26 on the Consolidation Loan application if you would like to hold the processing of your Consolidation Loan until the end of your six-month grace period. The rates in effect at the time that you apply for your Consolidation Loan will be used in the weighted average calculation to determine the rate on your Consolidated Loan.

WILL THE REDUCED INTEREST RATE THAT I AM RECEIVING DUE TO BORROWER BENEFITS ON MY EXISTING LOANS BE USED TO CALCULATE THE FIXED INTEREST RATE ON MY NEW CONSOLIDATION LOAN?

No. Interest rate reductions received as borrower benefits on existing loans will not be considered when determining the applicable interest rate on your consolidation loan. For example, if the applicable rate on your existing loans is 6.80%, but you were receiving interest rate reductions as a borrower benefit that reduced the interest rate to 5.80%, the interest rate used to calculate your new Consolidation Loan will be 6.80%.

HOW CAN I FIND OUT WHAT MY CONSOLIDATION LOAN PAYMENT WILL BE?

To estimate what your payments and total amount of interest paid may look like, input various interest rates into our Loan Consolidation Calculator. After your application has been approved, the disclosure and monthly account statement will include your exact payment amount and interest rate.

HOW DO I KNOW IF I AM ELIGIBLE?

If all of your loans are in grace, repayment or in a deferment/forbearance, you may be eligible for a Citibank Federal Consolidation Loan. Your loans that are in an in-school status cannot be consolidated until you graduate or leave school. If you have defaulted on any of your loans, you need to make satisfactory payment arrangements with your current holder and provide evidence of that to Citibank. Loans subject to a judgment or wage garnishment are not eligible for consolidation.

CAN I CONSOLIDATE MY LOANS WHILE I AM ATTENDING SCHOOL?

If you are currently a full- or half-time student, you can apply for a Consolidation Loan upon graduation. For loans disbursed prior to July 1, 2006, the interest rate during the grace period is 0.60% lower than the Stafford repayment rate. By consolidating while you are in grace, you will have the opportunity to secure a lower interest rate and start paying down your student loans.

CAN I GET AN IN-SCHOOL DEFERMENT ON MY CONSOLIDATED LOAN?

If you are attending school at least half-time you will be eligible for an in-school deferment on your Consolidation Loan. Keep in mind that you will need to begin repaying your Consolidation Loan immediately upon graduating, withdrawing, or dropping to less than half-time enrollment status. Citibank offers a special Consolidation Loan four-month Lender Option forbearance that may be considered to help you ease into repayment.

What happens after a DWI arrest in Texas?Administrative License Revocation:To preserve your right to drive in Texas, you must request a hearing within 15 days of when you were served with a Notice of Suspension(usually the date of arrest). If you timely requested a hearing to contest your license suspension, you will be able to continue driving until the hearing. If you lose at the hearing, you can not drive after the hearing. It is our opinion you should requests the officer's presence at the hearing. Crucial defenses can be developed at the hearing. If your license is suspended at the hearing, you may be able to secure an occupational license to drive.
lst Appearance:If you have been arrested and released for a misdemeanor DWI, you will be given a date to return to court (usually 30 days after your arrest). If you hire an attorney, the attorney can usually make this appearance for you, so that you do not have to attend. During this 30 day period, the case is sent to the County Attorney's office for further investigation. The County Attorney then prepares an information and files this with the County Clerk, and your case is set on the court's docket.

Pre-trial Conference:Your attorney will discuss your case with the County Attorney to discuss the best possible resolution of your case. This conference will happen about 8-10 weeks after your 1st Appearance date.

Suppression Hearing:The Court may suppress some or all of the evidence against you if your constitutional rights have been violated. Your attorney will file motions to suppress. It occurs anywhere 6 weeks to 3 months after the pre-trial conference.

the food was as stale as ever,

still the sambhar was being served over there,

that was the worst food of my life.

Therez no use in complaining,
when you got no other place to eat,
rushed in the evening to the doctors clinic,
but he too was at the toilet seat,

nurse told me I will wait forever,
oh and when I held my breath,
I knew that I had to use that loo there

So relax, enjoy and indulge yourself!The ornate passenger coaches were originally meant to be the personal Railway coaches of erstwhile rulers of the princely states of Rajputana, Gujarat, the Nizam of Hyderabad and the Viceroy of British India. The Indian Railways did not use these coaches after Independence in normal passenger trains on account of the very rich and traditional interiors. The coaches were very old and were meant to run on meter gauge. As a result they were parked in different yards and cited as part of heritage that was far too ornate, old and historical to be of any practical use. They remained in this state for a quarter of a century until 1981-82 when the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation, the Indian Railways and the Tourism Department of the State launched them as a special heritage tourist train to provide a unique memorable experience to the tourists visiting Rajasthan.
The name "Palace on Wheels" (POW) was derived from the royal background of the coaches. The Train undertook its inaugural trip on 26th January 1982. Only five promotional trips were run for the purpose of familiarization and publicity. It started to roll on its regular operations from October 1982 and undertook 13 weekly and 13 short trips.The original coaches that belonged to the rulers of the erstwhile princely states of India become unworthy for the smooth rail journey after their continuous running for 9 years from its inception. This was replaced in 1991 by the air-conditioned meter gauge train whose interiors were done in accordance to the aesthetics of the old saloons. This train was fabricated at the Integral Coach Factory of Madras.
In order to further increase the amenities on the train and due to over all gauge conversion in the state, a new broad gauge Palace on Wheels was constructed with the same amenities and facilities like its predecessors - 14 Saloons that are now inter connected, 2 Restaurant-cum-Kitchen cars, 01 Bar-cum-Lounge and 4 Service cars. The train also has a well-appointed lounge, library and bar.Apart from this other services include - laundry services at Jaipur, Udaipur and Jodhpur, Foreign Exchange, Doctor on call.

Akshardham Temple

A mega temple complex, Akshardham, in New Delhi, one of the biggest and most intricate places of worship ever constructed, is drawing hordes of visitors and seems set to become a major tourist attraction. Constructed by the BAPS (Bochasanvasi Aksharpurushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha) foundation, builders of more than 600 temples worldwide, on the banks of the Yamuna river, near Noida Mor in East Delhi, it is widely being heralded as one of the greatest monuments India has ever produced.
The complex is huge … spread over 100 acres of land.It is made entirely of white marble (symbolizing purity and peace) and the red sand stone so characteristic of Delhi monuments .No steel has been used in its construction .It is a fusion of several styles of North Indian temple architecture - Rajasthani, Orrisan, Gujarati, Mughal and Jain
It is estimated to have cost Rs 200 crore
It has been funded from donations
It was completed in only 5 years, probably a world record of sorts
Over 300 million man hours of service were rendered in its completion by 11,000 volunteers
A main monument, 141 feet high, 316 feet wide and 370 feet long, and a 11-feet tall panchdhatu (5 elements) statue of Swaminarayan in the sanctum sanctorum. Designed and sculpted according to the ancient Indian tradition of vastu shastra, it has 234 ornately carved pillars, 9 domes, 20,000 statues, decorative arches and layers of sculpted flora and fauna. The entire thing rests on a spectacular Gajendra Pith (plinth of 148 stone elephants, each of whom has “a story”).
An experiential exhibition hall, Sahajanand Darshan, where the life of Swaminarayan is displayed through robotic shows.
An IMAX theatre, at the Neelkanth Darshan Hall, which screens a 45-minute film on the life of Lord Swaminarayan, the founder of the sect, who left home at 11 to traverse the length and breadth of India.
Sanskruti Vihar, an exhibition hall, which offers a 12-minute boat ride through tableaux that showcase India's glorious heritage, beginning with the Vedic age. Statues come alive as they propound values like vegetarianism and non-violence.

Elaborate security arrangements are in place, and you will have to deposit your mobile phones, cameras, food and any purse bigger than a wallet.
