Or just type "youtube-dl -b ". The -b stands for "best" and fetches the MP4 version, if there is one. Youtube-dl is available here: http://www.arrakis.es/~rggi3/youtube-dl/ and it’s updated every once in a while, when youtube change their mode of obfuscation… ;-)

I use this simple (and free) method to download YouTube videos as MP4s – http://thewordfrombelow.blogspot.com/ for an off-line player I recommend VLC – http://www.videolan.org/

Thanks for this! I use keepvid.com but it’s nice to have extra options. Keepvid.com saves the file as a flash (.flv) file which won’t play on Windows Media Player, but it’s playable on free players like the GOM player.

Hey! It sends trackbacks! I must admit I am surprised, I thought I set my options to stay quiet so far.
Well…. welcome! And thanks for the first comments.
No, font sizes are not definite. As yuo might notice, everything is still a bit messy, I am still fighting with the CSS (I hate CSS). Hopefully, I’ll tame it all in the following days. And for sure, I will introduce some colors :)
