I googled myself today and found downloads link to a remix I had done for an Orb contest in the ’90s. I’m not sure how I feel about that. The mix was never commercially released so it’s not like I’m losing money, but a link back here would’ve been nice.

This piece is from my Bistro Polarus project, which evolved out of the set I was developing for competition in Seattle’s Laptop Battle.

In keeping with the spirit of live performance, this track was recorded live to disk with minimal (if any) post EQ or compression.

This video nugget was born as part of a VJ sample pack I was working on under my visual moniker, Splicerack. Alas, that sample pack was never completed and I re-purposed the video as a background element for a live performance.

The soundtrack to this clip was not part of the aforementioned performance (an electronic Christmas showcase) and I’m really not sure when or why I married the two. But I do remember using Rebirth rewired with Reason to compose the music on an old G4. Oh how I miss Rebirth.

Novation Launchpad

It’s time to make some space in the laboratory. Despite the absence of knobs and faders (like the APC40) Novation’s Automap functionality gives the Launchpad an advantage over the more tactile competitor. (Perhaps a BCR2000 could pick up the knobby slack.) The potential for use with Reaktor and VJ apps makes this a real winner.
