I painted my shoes! I can’t believe it didn’t even enter my mindgrapes until I saw moiminnie do something similar here. It feels so good to know I’m not trapped in a sea of cork heels this summer. It’s so easy, there are only 3 things you need:

  1. primer or sealant, also called ‘gesso’ for acrylic paint. primes the cork, so you won’t need 20 layers of paint to get a proper coat.
  2. acrylic paint.
  3. a matte varnish, comes in spray or paintable tub. Acrylic is very porous, so it will attract a lot of dust and crud without it.

Do steps 1-3 with time between for drying & fool all your friends with your “new” shoes!

A city teeming with beautiful people, whose skin glows with health and possibly happiness. I limped around our immediate area into some unexpected boutique shopping, fresh juice bars, and excessively pretentious coffee. We left without as many tacos under my belt as I was hoping for, but we’ll try again soon LA. x

I remember skipping through the field at night with my best friends, running to see Phoenix and thinking I’ve never felt so free. You probably know all about Coachella, but I wasn’t prepared for the scale of everything. Walking one end of the field to the other would take you about 45 mins (depending on traffic). With 6 stages there was bound to be some band overlap but I never felt sadness at missing anything. Discovering new music and being surprised was the best. For example, all those who doubt the power of the Moby DJ set, I give you the gospel here.

I haven’t officially released anything yet, but that’s how things are done: press, stores, then people. I have so much I want to do, and I can’t see how it could happen. I feel like there’s no escape from it, the thing that drives me crazy, that trust game. Having to trust in something that isn’t yourself, and taking the next step without knowing there will be another. But I’m moving forward.. uncertain, afraid, hopeful.


This skirt came to me in a dream.. and it’s one of my favorite pieces. Pre-orders are possible but don’t expect to receive a juicy shipment until July/August.
