NEW YORK - November 6, 2009 - USA Network has acquired the exclusive off-network rights to the CBS Television Distribution's drama NCIS: LOS ANGELES, the newest addition to the NCIS franchise. The announcement was made today by Jane Blaney, USA's executive vice president, program acquisitions and scheduling.

Under the agreement, USA will have access to weekly early exhibitions from season one beginning September 2011 and the right to start stripping the series in September 2013.

"We're thrilled about this unprecedented opportunity to acquire a great show after just seven episodes of instant broadcast popularity," Blaney said. "NCIS: LOS ANGELES is the perfect complement to NCIS, which has performed amazingly well for USA as the year's #1 off-net series on cable."

NCIS: LOS ANGELES is the No. 1 new show this season, averaging 17 million viewers season to date. NCIS: LOS ANGELES is the No. 2 drama on television after only NCIS. NCIS: LOS ANGELES has improved the Tuesday 9 p.m. time slot compared to last year ("The Mentalist") by 7% in total viewers and 5% in P18-49 rating (4.2). NCIS on USA is the #1 "off-network" series on cable for 2009TD averaging nearly 3.5MM total viewers in Primetime.

Currently in its first season on CBS, NCIS: LOS ANGELES is a drama about the high stakes world of the Office of Special Projects (OSP), a division of NCIS that is charged with apprehending dangerous and elusive criminals that pose a threat to the nation's security. Chris O'Donnell stars as Special Agent "G" Callen, a chameleon who transforms himself into whomever he needs to be to infiltrate the criminal underworld.

His partner is Special Agent Sam Hanna, played by LL COOL J, a former U.S. Navy SEAL who has seen action in both Afghanistan and Iraq, and a surveillance expert who uses state of the art monitoring equipment to look out for those in the field and feed them crucial information. Assisting the team is Special Agent Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah), the exceptionally bright daughter of a slain Marine who lives for the adrenalin rush that comes with undercover work; Operational Psychologist Nate Getz (Peter Cambor), adept at getting into anybody's head, profiling the target and monitoring agents' states of mind before, during and after missions; Dominic Vail (Adam Jamal Craig), is highly qualified but lacking in practical experience and Henrietta "Hetty" Lange (Linda Hunt) who oversees the 'backroom' support staff tasked with providing everything from micro-surveillance cameras to cars for the team. Armed with the latest in high tech gear and sent regularly into life-threatening situations, this tight-knit unit relies on each other to do what is necessary to protect national interests.

NCIS LOS ANGELES on USA Network

SHOWTIME has announced the air dates for some its highly-anticipated programming for first and second quarter 2010. Highlighting the new schedule will be a Monday comedy block pairing of the second season of SHOWTIME's acclaimed Nurse Jackie starring Emmyr award-winner Edie Falco leading into the second season of United States of Tara showcasing Toni Collette in her Emmyr award-winning title role. Nurse Jackie will premiere on Monday, March 22 at 10:00 PM ET/PT followed by United States of Tara at 10:30 PM ET/PT.

Additionally, the fourth and final season of SHOWTIME's award-winning period drama The Tudors starring Golden Glober award-winner Jonathan Rhys Meyers will premiere on Sunday, April 11 at 9:00 PM ET/PT.

The movie event of the New Year will be the television premiere of blockbuster feature film TWILIGHT on Saturday, January 23. Twilight On Showtime In January

Cartoon Network has picked up thirteen episodes of two hour-long original, scripted live-action series, Tower Prep and Warner Horizon Television's Unnatural History. Production on the network's first-ever hour-long action series is slated to begin in January 2010.

Tower Prep is an action thriller telling the story of a rebellious teen, Ian (Drew Van Acker), who wakes up one morning to find himself trapped at a mysterious prep school focused on tapping into the "unique potential" of its students. Ian forms a secret group with fellow students CJ (Elise Gatien), Gabe (Ryan Pinkston) and Suki (Dyana Liu) as they search for answers to where they are and how to get home. The pilot was executive-produced and written by Paul Dini (Lost, Batman: Arkham Asylum), with Terry McDonough (Breaking Bad, The Street) directing. The series will be produced out of Cartoon Network Studios in Burbank , CA , in association with Dolphin Entertainment.

Unnatural History is an action-packed mystery series centering on Henry Griffin (Kevin G. Schmidt), a teenager with exceptional skills acquired through years of globe-trotting with his anthropologist parents. Shipped off to a high school in Washington D.C. , Henry and his smooth-talking cousin Jasper (Jordan Gavaris) find themselves wrapped up in mysteries revolving around the national museum. Mike Werb (Face/Off, The Mask) created the series and wrote the pilot, which was directed by Emmyr Award winner Mikael Salomon (Band of Brothers, The Andromeda Strain, The Company). The series will be executive produced by Mike Werb and produced by Warner Horizon Television.

Cartoon Network Picks Up Two New Live Action Series

When TBS's eagerly anticipated series LOPEZ TONIGHT brings the party to late-night television, it will be to the strains of one of the greatest rock musicians of all time: Carlos Santana. Host George Lopez will welcome the legendary guitarist as the show's first scheduled musical guest Monday, Nov. 9, at 11 p.m.
(ET/PT). Carlos Santana will perform with the show's house band, led by Michael Bearden (This Is It). During the first week, Bearden is scheduled to play a special tribute to the late pop icon, Michael Jackson.

Also scheduled to perform during LOPEZ TONIGHT's first few weeks are Marc Anthony, Morissey, Slash, Akon, LMFAO, Jay Sean, Amerie, Justin Bieber, Orianthi, David Guetta and The Bravery. More artists will be announced in the coming weeks.

Along with Carlos Santana, the premiere-night guests for LOPEZ TONIGHT will be Ellen DeGeneres, Eva Longoria-Parker of Desperate Housewives and NBA great Kobe Bryant. TNT has acquired exclusive syndication rights to THE MENTALIST from Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution, commencing in 2012. Currently in its second season on CBS, THE MENTALIST has emerged as one of the hottest shows on broadcast television. The top-rated series was the #1 new program of the 2008-2009 television season among total viewers and households and won the People's Choice Award for Favorite New Drama.

Food Network's What Would Brian Boitano Make? Season 2 In Production

Burbank, CA (Monday, November 2, 2009) - With the anticipation of the holiday season steadily approaching, ABC Family launches the twelfth year of its must see "25 Days of Christmas" event featuring over 200 hours of holiday-themed entertainment for the whole family from December 1-25 - the biggest cable programming event of the year. Viewers will celebrate the season with an all-new original movie, specials and, of course, the return of Christmas favorites during primetime, as well as weekend holiday marathons every Saturday and Sunday.

ABC Family's 25 Days of Christmas 2009

The navigational prowess of "the most famous reindeer of all" will again illuminate Santa Claus' way into the Christmas season, in RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER, which will be broadcast on Wednesday, Dec. 2 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. (Originally broadcast on CBS 12/8/72 after an eight-year run on another network.)

The special, narrated by Burl Ives, who is also heard as the voice of Sam the Snowman, is a musical story based on the popular song of the same title by Johnny Marks. It recounts the tale of a shy reindeer whose Christmas spirit is dampened because his shiny nose has made him the laughing stock of all Christmasville.

Pursued by an Abominable Snowmonster, inhabitants of Christmasville flee to the island of Misfit Toys in the Arctic wilderness where Yukon Cornelius, a prospector they meet along the way, comes to their rescue. Returning to Christmasville, they learn that bad weather may cause Christmas to be canceled. But Rudolph's headlight - his illuminated nose - saves the "foggy Christmas Eve" by serving as a beacon to guide Santa's sleigh.

Marks composed seven additional songs for the special: "Holly Jolly Christmas," "Silver and Gold," "We Are Santa's Elves," "We're a Couple of Misfits," "Jingle Jingle Jingle," "There's Always Tomorrow" and "The Most Wonderful Day of the Year." Two musical numbers in the beloved classic were restored to their original form in the remastered version. Now included is the full-length rendition of the song "We Are Santa's Elves." The second enhanced number is "We're a Couple of Misfits," a duet between Rudolph and his newfound friend, Hermey the Elf.

Over the years, fading and degeneration of the print had caused it to take on a reddish hue that differs significantly from the bluer tones and starker contrasts of the original. This color-corrected version from 1998 allows a new generation of television viewers to appreciate the special's original visual texture and rich palette of colors. Santa's elves have their blue suits back after years of wearing faded green.

The scene restorations and color correction process for RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER were completed by Golden Books. The special was produced by "Animagic" pioneers Arthur Rankin Jr. and Jules Bass and directed by Larry Roemer. Romeo Muller wrote the television adaptation from a story by Robert L. May.

RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER on CBS Dec 2

Frosty, that "jolly, happy soul" whose old silk hat full of magic has turned him into a musical Christmas legend, once again demonstrates his unique showmanship in FROSTY THE SNOWMAN, the popular animated musical special narrated by Jimmy Durante, to be broadcast Friday, Dec. 18 (8:00-8:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Comedian Jackie Vernon provides the voice of Frosty in the Christmas fable, originally broadcast Dec. 7, 1969 on the Network. The special, based on the popular song of the same title by Jack Rollins and Steve Nelson about the happy-go-lucky snowman with the "corncob pipe, a button nose and two eyes made out of coal," features Billy De Wolfe as the voice of the villainous Professor Hinkle, a magician whose stovepipe hat transforms the lifeless snow figure into an enchanting song-and-dance man.

Pursued by the hatless professor and rising temperatures, Frosty sets off for the North Pole to keep from melting. En route, the indomitable snowman weathers a whirl of adventures and overcomes the threat of evaporation.

The special was produced and directed by Arthur Rankin Jr. and Jules Bass, with additional lyrics and music by Bass and Maury Laws. The story was written by Romeo Muller.

Voices for all the additional characters are provided by Paul Frees and June Foray.

FROSTY THE SNOWMAN on CBS Dec 18

The magic still in his old silk hat, the holiday season's perennially popular original dancing snowman continues his adventures and skates on the edge of danger in the animated musical special FROSTY RETURNS, Friday, Dec. 18 (8:30-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. (Originally broadcast 12/01/95)

Jonathan Winters is the narrator, with John Goodman as the voice of Frosty. Other voices are provided by comedians Jan Hooks, Andrea Martin and Brian Doyle-Murray.

The first winter storm of the season brings the magical Frosty to the snow-covered town of Beansborough just as a new invention, a snow-removal spray called Summer Wheeze, is being introduced on the market. Not only does Summer Wheeze de-ice the town's annual Winter Carnival, it also threatens Frosty's very existence.

FROSTY RETURNS was produced by Eryk Casemiro and Bill Melendez and directed by Melendez and Evert Brown. Lorne Michaels ("Saturday Night Live") is executive producer. The special was written by Oliver Goldstick, based on a story by Jim Lewis, with original music by Mark Mothersbaugh. FROSTY RETURNS was created by Bill Melendez Productions, Inc., in association with Broadway Video and CBS Entertainment Productions.

YES, VIRGINIA tells the story of 8-year-old Virginia O'Hanlon (Beatrice Miller, "Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs"), a young girl growing up in late 1800s New York City who always loved Christmas, until the playground bully, Charlotte (Julian Franco) tells her and the other children that Santa Claus doesn't exist. Not sure what to believe, Virginia and her friend, Ollie (Kieran Patrick Campbell), venture into the streets of New York City to uncover the truth. Along the way, they encounter a Scraggly Santa (Michael Buscemi, "Nurse Jackie") who is trying to raise money for the less fortunate (he admits he's not the real deal, but someone who sort of works for Santa Claus), an over-eager librarian with a shelf full of Christmas books, and interesting advice from Virginia's quirky scientist father (Neil Patrick Harris, "How I Met Your Mother") and understanding mother (Jennifer Love Hewitt, "Ghost Whisperer"). Unable to find the answer, Virginia decides to write a letter to the New York Sun newspaper, knowing that their reputation for reporting the facts is cemented by their motto "If you see it in The Sun, it's so!" Virginia's letter makes its way to the curmudgeonly editor, Francis Church (Alfred Molina, "Frida," "Spider-Man 2"), who feels he has better things to do than respond to a little girl's question. But, with Virginia's determination, and a little help from Scraggly Santa, Mr. Church is persuaded to write the answer that became the most famous newspaper editorial of all time: "Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus!"

"Moises Rules!" a new short-form sports series that invites kids to challenge Moises Arias (Rico in "Hannah Montana") in fun sports competitions, including foam tetherball and finger football, premieres MONDAY, DECEMBER 7 (5:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney XD. If he wins, Moises gets the bragging rights, "Moises Rules."

"Dash and Splash!" -The crowd goes wild to see Larry and Moises on a super water slide to see if "Moises Rules" or if Larry can defeat him in a "Backyard Slide-Off" competition.

"Hannah Montana's" Moises Arias Stars In "Moises Rules!"

Burbank, CA (November 3, 2009) - Hilary Duff ("The Story of Bonnie and Clyde," "A Cinderella Story"), Matt Dallas, ("Kyle XY," "Eastwick"), Michael McMillan ("True Blood," "What I Like About You) and Chris Carmack ("Drop Dead Diva," "The OC") have signed to star in the ABC Family original production "The Business of Falling in Love." The two-hour original movie will begin principal photography this month in New Orleans, Louisiana, and is set to premiere on ABC Family in spring 2010.
 
"The Business of Falling in Love," based on the book Diary of a Working Girl by Daniella Brodsky, stars Duff as Lane Daniels, a bright effervescent fashion journalist whose career and love life come together in a smashing way when she pitches the article "Switching Careers to Find Love" to Cosmopolitan magazine - her favorite magazine and ultimate career aspiration. Lane can't believe her luck when the editor goes for it in a big way, handing her the professional opportunity of a life time - a potential cover story!

In order to pull the undercover story off, Lane must first land a corporate job. From there, her mandate is simple - find lots of eligible guys in suits in the office and date as many as possible! Following her interview with a job placement agency, she meets her new boss, Tom (Michael McMillian), at the offices of Thompson/Fullworth. Lane quickly learns that going to work doesn't just mean wearing a nice suit and going to lunch. Luckily Tom takes her under his wing and teaches her the ropes. As she navigates her way through Thomson/Fullworth, she also meets Seth (Matt Dallas), a hottie on whom Lane develops a crush after he comes to her rescue when the copy machine goes haywire. But her perfect plan goes awry when she meets Liam (Chris Carmack), a gorgeous music producer with a British accent who sweeps Lane off her feet. Her editor's rules for the story are clear - Lane can only date the businessmen in her office - so Liam is strictly off limits! Lane is forced to choose between what she believes might be love and her Cosmo cover story - and the results are far from what she expected to find!

Gordon Ramsay Has a New FOX Show "MASTERCHEF"

NEW YORK - November 4th, 2009 - Food Network stars Mario Batali, Bobby Flay and Emeril Lagasse travel to the White House to take part in an unprecedented culinary competition in Super Chef Battle, a special two-hour episode of Iron Chef America. Greeted by First Lady Michelle Obama, the chefs are joined by White House Executive Chef Cristeta Comerford and receive their challenge: create a meal for America using The White House Kitchen Garden's produce as their secret ingredients. The special episode premieres Sunday, January 3rd at 8pm ET/PT.

Iron Chef America commentator Alton Brown explains that the Chairman has sent the three Food Network chefs to Washington , D.C. for a very special battle and introduces Chef Cristeta Comerford, who will also take part in the competition. The group is then greeted by the First Lady, who explains that the chefs will be allowed to use anything found in The White House Kitchen Garden to help them create their meals. After receiving their challenge, the chefs are split into two teams: Flay and Comerford versus Batali and Lagasse. The chefs immediately head to the garden where they are tasked with harvesting their ingredients. Then it's off to Kitchen Stadium where the battle begins. Each team must produce five dishes that showcase the ingredients they selected from the garden and that represent the ultimate American meal. The judges include: chef and best-selling cookbook author Nigella Lawson; Olympic gold medalist Natalie Coughlin; and actress, author and designer Jane Seymour. Ted Allen (Chopped) assists as a guest floor reporter. Iron Chef America is produced by Triage Entertainment.

Installed in the spring of 2009 under the Obama Administration, The White House Kitchen Garden measures approximately 1100 square feet and is located on the west side of the South Lawn. The four-season herb, fruit and vegetable garden features 75 varieties of seeds planted in slightly raised beds using succession planting methods. Cultivated by White House staff and volunteers, produce from the garden and honey from the adjacent beehives are available to the White House Chefs for preparing meals for the First Family and for official functions, and all extra food is donated to Miriam's Kitchen, a soup kitchen near the White House.

Jake Pavelka is out to prove that nice guys don't always finish last in love. The handsome commercial pilot from Dallas-and America's most hopeful romantic-begins his own bid for true love, choosing from among 25 bachelorettes, when "The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love" premieres MONDAY, JANUARY 4, 2010 (8:00-10:00 p. m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. This will be the 14th edition of ABC's hit romance reality series and, for the first time in the history of the series, "The Bachelor" will be broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with stereo sound.

Ever since Jake, 31, shared a magical one-on-one date with Bachelorette Jillian Harris to see Martina McBride, millions of women have had their "Top Gun" fantasies about him. A fan favorite for his reputation as an honest guy with an open heart - not to mention his good looks -- viewers were stunned when Jillian rejected Jake right before the hometown dates on last season's "The Bachelorette." But women were drawn to him even more when Jake returned of his own accord in the next episode to protect Jillian from men who were not there for the right reasons. Jake - who already knew Jillian would not take him back -- freely shared and showed his emotions.

Jake's fairytale-like experience falling for Jillian made him confident that he can find the love of his life on "The Bachelor." Now it's his time. Jake knows himself well enough to know that he's not made to live alone. He just needs to find the right woman -- his best friend and soul mate - and that's whom he'll marry. Searching for a woman who is intelligent, confident, energetic and spontaneous, he admits that he can't wait for fatherhood.

Fortunate to discover his passion at a young age, Jake started taking flying lessons at age 12. An accomplished pilot, he became an airline captain flight instructor at 23. On his days off, he has fun flying acrobatic planes, taking dance lessons and woodworking at the home he owns near Dallas. His parents have had a long and happy marriage, and it seems to run in the family, as Jake also has two happily married brothers - older brother Jason and younger brother Matt - and two nieces.

Jake grew up in Denton, Texas and attended University of North Texas and Embry Engineering University for Aerospace Science.

ABC announces new "Bachelor" Season 14 premiere

Jennifer Beals ("The L Word," "Lie To Me") has been cast to star in "The Night Before the Night Before Christmas," a Hallmark Channel Original Movie about a family that's too busy to get ready for the holidays until Santa Claus mistakenly leaves the North Pole a day early and crash lands on their roof, and it's suddenly up to the family to help save Christmas.

"The Night Before the Night Before Christmas" has begun production in Toronto, Canada, and is set
to premiere on Hallmark Channel in 2010.

Angela Fox (Beals) and her husband, Wayne (Rick Roberts, "The Note"), are so busy juggling their busy
careers - she's a professional photographer and he's an aviation executive - they haven't gotten around to shopping or decorating for Christmas. And with Christmas two days away, their house is the only house in the neighborhood that isn't decorated at all. Suddenly, after having a mid-flight accident, Santa Claus and his reindeer land with a thud on their roof. The Foxes decide to check on the commotion and think at first that he's just a mall Santa, but with the help of their son, Toby, who still believes, they decide to play along to help Santa out. But he's lost his memory and his magical bag and soon they realize they've got a true crisis on their hands -- and that they better start helping Santa remember what's he supposed to do so that the world doesn't have to miss Christmas.

"The Night Before the Night Before Christmas" is being produced by Muse Entertainment Productions.
