			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This summer, students 16 years and older (including adults) can enroll in three unique two week broadcasting camps hosted by Detroit sports icon, Eli Zaret.  </p>
<p>Each six hour day at Livonia&#8217;s new ProCam Photo and Video Gear will include a catered lunch and hands-on writing, shooting, editing and on-camera practice with real broadcast professionals, including:  Guy Gordon, Sheri Margolis, Jennifer Hammond, Tom Leyden and Dave LewAllen.  </p>
<p>Co-creator of the program is DAFT board member and West Bloomfield High School video productions teacher, Kevin Walsh.</p>
<p>Enrollees save $300 if they reserve a spot for $995 by May 28th.</p>
<p>Registration is limited to 17 students per class.<br />

    $599.00. This includes lunch each day and access to<br />
    professional film equipment.</p>
<p><strong><em>Do I need to have experience in filmmaking?</em></strong><br />
    Nope.</p>
<p><strong><em>What type of film gear will be at the workshop?</em></strong><br />
    We’ll have several cameras (including DSLRs), several light<br />
    kits, audio equipment and numerous non-linear editing stations.</p>
<p><strong><em>Can my kids take the workshop?</em></strong><br />
    Yup. 14 years and up please.</p>
<p><strong><em>I have my own camera and gear. Should I bring it to the workshop?</em></strong><br />
    Yes. </p>
<p><strong><em>How should I dress for the workshop?</em></strong><br />
    While there is no dress code &#8211; we don’t recommend<br />
     open-toed sandals on the shooting days.</p>
<p><strong><em>What should I bring to the workshop?</em></strong><br />
    Something to take notes and any personal gear you have.<br />
    Since some of the cameras are DSLR, you might want to bring your<br />

<p><strong>INSTRUCTORS:</strong></p>
<p><strong>John Prusak</strong><br />
John has many award-winning credits to his name including cinematography for “Roger &#038; Me”, co-producing the documentary “Walk This Way” and many more.  He was also a teacher at the William D. Ford Tech. Center in Westland for over 20 years.  Many of his students from school and DAFT  sponsored workshops  have gone on to illustrious careers in Hollywood. He remains in contact with many of them as they make their way back to Michigan to visit.  Currently he’s working on a documentary called “A Galaxie Far, Far Away” to be released in 2012.</p>
<p><strong>Steve Julin</strong><br />
Steve has been editing, directing and producing video and film for over 25 years. He was a principal partner in developing Media Power and is an Apple Certified Instructor, Boris FX Certified Instructor, as well as Michigan&#8217;s first Avid Certified Instructor. He has edited and provided training for such companies as Ford Motor Company, Kmart, Comcast, The Discovery Channel, CBS, PBS and NBC. In 2004 he wrote “Xpress Pro Power”. Steve was selected as Educator of the Year in 2009 by DAFT and the Michigan Arts Council. Art in Motion is a great workshop presented by Digital Arts Film &#038; Television designed to provide an intensive hands-on experience in animation for classroom teachers and other interested adults. The instructors have many years of classroom and professional experience in animation and promise a week full of learning and fun. </p>
<p><strong>University credit (3 hours) is offered through Central Michigan University for an additional fee paid to CMU.</strong></p>

<p><strong>DAFT&#039;s ART IN MOTION WORKSHOP 2012</strong><br />

Art in Motion is a great workshop presented by Digital Arts Film &#038; Television designed to provide an intensive hands-on experience in animation for classroom teachers and other interested adults. <p><strong>University credit (3 hours) is offered through Central Michigan University for an additional fee paid to CMU.</strong></p>
<p><strong>TOPICS COVERED:</strong><br />
This course will provide an opportunity to try a variety of different kinds of animation including cell, cut-outs, drawing under the camera, object animation, pixilation and claymation. Other aspects such as storyboarding, editing, adding sound, and (for teachers) classroom applications are included.</p>

<ul>is an award-winning art teacher and arts advocate who has coordinated media workshops for students and teachers for 30 years.</ul>
<p><strong>WHEN &#038; WHERE:</strong><br />
Art in Motion will meet <strong>July 9 &#8211; 13, 2012.</strong> Classes meet daily Monday through Thursday from 9am to 5pm and Friday until 1 pm at the beautiful Howell Nature Center, an educational facility between Lansing and Detroit.</p>
<p><strong>FEES:</strong><br />
The tuition for Art in Motion is $600, which includes most materials, lunch, and a compilation DVD of all work produced. University credit (3 hours) is offered through Central Michigan University for an additional fee paid to CMU. Accommodations are available for an additional $100, which includes breakfast and dinner.</p>
