Hello and welcome to this week’s Turquoise Tuesday.  How was your Labor Day weekend?  I had so much fun!  My hubby started a 10-day-vacation last Friday, which continues through this week and until next Monday.  I love getting so much time with him!  What are your plans for the week?  Have a beautiful day.

As the weather begins to cool, I find myself making more excuses to be outdoors.  Anxious to take in those last bits of summer, I’ve gone for walks, had meals on the patio and more.  It’s times like this – I wish I had a balcony.  I imagine sitting on this suspended platform, with a bird’s eye view of the scenery below.  I’d certainly have to have my coffee there on beautiful mornings like these.  Following are some examples.  Do you have a favorite?  Have a fantastic and safe weekend!

If the Emmy Awards were any indication, deep blue seems to be a color on the rise.  Crayola’s Midnight Blue was my very first “favorite color” and I still enjoy these dark, inky blues.  So, inspired by blue, the following is a look at Sunday’s red carpet gowns and additional examples of beautiful, deep shades of blue.  Hope you enjoy.  Have a fantastic day!

Built in 1820, the Wegman-Holmes house is considered one of the top historic residences in Charleston, SC.  Currently on the market here, it’s easy to love the gorgeous details of this home.  Located on a half-acre lot, it even has a guest house that functions as a working B&B.  Following are more photos of this southern charmer’s interior design and architectural details.

As I start thinking about fall fashion each year, my mind inevitably wanders into the red zone.  Perhaps it’s in anticipation of nature’s burst of rich color each autumn, but around September, I start craving red fashion.  In fact, this week I added a red jacket to my wardrobe.  The following are photos filled with red inspiration.  It’s just what I needed this week.  What about you: Do you crave certain colors at different times of the year?

The property in Montecito California known as the Glass Pavilion is currently for sale.  Built by Steve Hermann, this contemporary home comes in at almost 14,000 square feet and is located on approximately 3.5 acres.  The house has 5 bedrooms, 5-1/2 baths, a wine room and a gallery big enough to hold 32 cars.  It’s definitely a one-of-a-kind.  I have to ask: Knowing you were surrounded by 3.5 acres, would you feel comfortable enough to live in a glass house like this?

As I flipped through my September issues last weekend, I was positively giddy with the amount of animal print in those fashion pages.  Although I’m personally of the opinion that it’s a classic and never goes out of style…it appears it’s as in as ever this fall.  And it seems leopard print (which just happens to be my absolute favorite) is the exotic print of choice this year.
