Today is a pretty exciting day over here at Daily HDR – as it’s the day we officially launch our very first ebook!

Make Your Photos Not Suck: 50 Tips to Improve Your HDR Photography is geared towards helping beginners learn how to do HDR. So much of the information I’ve found out there regarding HDR is aimed at intermediate to advanced photographers, and goes way over the heads of people who are just getting started with the technique.

It wasn’t long ago that I was a total beginner in the world of HDR – that’s why I’m the perfect person to write this book. I’m still at a point where I remember the problems I had, mistakes I made, and the things that had the biggest positive impact. Many professional photographers creating books like this, are far enough past their origins that they write more advanced books without even realizing they are doing so.

If you’re just starting out with HDR or even photography in general, this book is the absolute best way you can build up your skills quickly.

It’s cheap at only $14.97, so if you’ve been looking to take your photography skills to the next level, there’s never been a better opportunity to do so!

Also of note, TOMORROW April 4th, I will be OFFICIALLY launching “Make Your Photos Not Suck: 50 Ways to Improve Your HDR Photography”. This bad boy has been a long time coming, as I finished it months ago, but just haven’t really told anyone about it yet. Be sure to check back, pick up the book (it’s a steal at $14.97) and let me know what you think!

I’ve spent the last couple weeks on the road, having went down to Austin, Texas for SxSW and following it up with a quick trip to Vegas. Epic 10 days to say the least, but exhaustion would be an understatement when describing my current state.

I’m actually a little disappointed that I didn’t take more photos on the trip. I was so busy meeting people that I just never quite got around to it. That said, on the last push from Vegas to Porland we stopped in the small town of Tonapah out in the middle of nowhere. I was pretty dazed, but the clouds were looking pretty cool, so I pulled out my camera and did a quick handheld shot. Due to the fact that I spent precisely 7 seconds setting up and shooting, I was pretty happy with the way this one turned out.

3 brackets, shot with a Nikon D5000 and Sigma 18-200 lens.

The level of detail that is featured here is really unparalleled. You can see all the nuances and imperfections of the watch, which makes it a pretty cool photograph. I’m also a bit of a watch fanatic, so this one was even more interesting for me.

Be sure to check out Tim Clarke HDR for some fantastic HDR images.
