Among the significant events happening during this week are a nation wide strike by public Sector Bank employees, a rally by Rahul Gandhi and the festival of Eid. Apart from these there are others too scheduled to take place during the same week.

On Tuesday, 7th September, the employees of public sector banks shall hold a strike against the govt measures to welcome more private companies into the banking sector. Disinvestment drive will also be a reason for protest during the strike. Ahead of the polls next year, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi is conducting a rally in Kolkata. The initiative falls under the youth membership scheme of the party.

During this week, Professor Ranjan Gupta of the Interuniversity Center for Astronomy & Astrophysics, Pune, shall be seen delivering a speech on the evolution of astronomy and telescopes at the India International Center in New Delhi. On 8th September, New Delhi-based educational organization Center for Civil Society shall conduct a debate  on school syllabus and the subject shall be : “National Curriculum: Does One Size Fit All?”. The event is set to take place at India Habitat Center, New Delhi on Wednesday evening. The fourth Health Insurance Summit  of the Confederation of Indian Industry shall also be held in Delhi.  As part of the celebrations of national poet Rabindranath Tagore’s 150th birth anniversary, a Bengali cultural group named Rabi Manjusha is organizing a musical at the India Habitat Center.

10th of September shall witness the end of the holy month of Ramadan, marking the festival of Eid. The World Economic Forum also commences on the same day in China.

Ranvir Shorey, Konkona Sen

So this is a final confirmation on all the updates about the much awaited marriage of Bollywood actress Konkona Sen and the hunk Ranvir Shorey. The long time couple has already tied the knot on September 3rd at a very hush hush marriage ceremony at their Mumbai residence. This was later confirmed by the newlywed bride.

This confirmation came via Twitter where the actress posted the message on her page which said that she was married to Ranvir and wants to thank everyone for their wonderful wishes and support.

The much speculated wedding was staged at the couple’s residence at Goregoan which had been awaited since the year 2008 when they were reportedly engaged to one another. This wedding was a private affair which was attended by only close friends and family members and to represent Bollywood there was the hunk Fardeen Khan a close friend of the couple and the bubbly shilpa shetty too.

The bridegroom looked handsome in the dress of a Punjabi munda and our pretty Koko was dressed as a Bengali bride with her grandmom’s jewels magnifying her Bengali features.

The actor also expressed his joy on his twitter page saying that he wants to thank for the best wishes and that the best advice rather a wish that he has received was that Congratulations you did it once but please don’t repeat it!!.

The actress had gain fame for her magnificent performances in movies like Wake Up Sid, Mr & Mrs Iyer, Life… In A Metro and Page 3, with the entire movie being a commercial success over the box office.

BrahMos Supersonic Missile

As we all know that India is surrounded by enemies in all the four directions. In the east there are Nepal and china whereas in South there is Sri Lanka. Although Nepal and Sri Lanka may not be big threats for India in terms of power. But China in the east and Pakistan in the west have always been a cause of worry for India’s security. Both these nations have always tried to break into Indian Territory illegally and forcibly time to time.

Moreover, once upon a time both China and Pakistan have fought a war too against India. But both had to lick the dust in the war. So the question is that if India has beaten China and Pakistan in a war in the past so how these nations can be a threat to India’s security? So answer of this highly serious question is that China has lost to India in the war of 1962 and Pakistan lost 1965, 1971 and 1999 too. Since then both Pakistan and china have been fishing for chance to teach India lesson.

But the main thing is that china has been trying to become a super power in the Asia. But in order to prove itself a super power in the Asia china needs to beat India because India is the biggest challenger in terms of power in the Asia. China has the army of 21 million. Moreover, So far as arial power and Navy is concerned so here once again china overpowers India slightly. But at the same if china has the biggest army of 23 million soldiers in the world so India is also the second biggest super power of the world. India may be having slightly less power as compare to china but all the weapons of India are of latest technology.

So far as Pakistan is concerned so it is also trying to harm India and its unity by hook or crook from all the corners. In addition to it Pakistan is also a nuclear power. Pakistan has always tried to bully India of a nuclear attack. This is nothing because India is also a nuclear power.

Ever since china and Pakistan have lost to India in the war both these nations have become sworn enemies of India. Entire world has witnessed the bellicosity of these two nations against India. Since their lost against India both china and Pakistan have shook hands together. In this regard Pakistan is being supported by china in terms of weapons and money.

So far as Sri Lanka and Nepal are concerned so these nations may be nothing in terms of power yet these two nations are very important for India because China is trying to seek power in the center in Nepal by supporting Moists. That is why Indian government has taken this move of china and Pakistan very seriously and test fired a new BrahMos Missile successfully in order to add more ammunition and power. This missile has been test fired in Orrissa which is a military base of Indian army.

According to the director of test range Mr. Dp Daksh this missile test was conducted in chandipur area of Ballasore. It is nearly 230 km away from Bhubaneswar. DP Daksh told about the launch also. he said that the launch of this missile met all the needs and it was hypnotic.

This frantic missile has been designed by the joint endeavors of India and Russia. It is potential of carrying nearly a weight of 300 kg.  It can attack nearly up to 290 km.

It has been named after pious rivers Brahmaputra of India and Moskova of Russia. According to the information acquired from BrahMos aerospace spokesperson it is an advanced version of BrahMos Block-||.

Rajiv Gandhi Airport

An employee of Air Asia airline suffered from sudden shock, resulting in death at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), Hyderabad. In an unfortunate incident, her hand was trapped in the aerobridge at the moment when the aerobridge was being retracted, soon after boarding.

The airline employee, names Amritha Roy was only twenty-four years old. She worked as the Guest Services Officer of Air Asia. The Hyderabad-Kuala Lampur flight departed at 09:50 am, which is when the incident took place. She was due to return but ended up becoming part of this mishap. It was not the trapping of the right arm that killed her. Amritha Roy was allegedly died at the Apollo Medical Centre, where she was quickly rushed after she collapsed. In spite of emergency medical care and provisions, Roy passed away at 10:40 am.

The case of the airline employee has been registered as one of ‘accidental death’ by the police at the RGIA. It is under probe. Such an unanticipated accident raises several questions about safety precautions at the airports too. Hence, the need of the hour was to form an investigating committee to make sure the facts are crystal clear and such incidents do not become frequent. As per a statement of the CEO of GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited, a committee is already formed. This will consist of the Chief Operating Officer of Delhi Airport. At the same time, the Chief Security Officer at Hyderabad Airport will also be engaged in the investigation of the case.

Amritha Roy’s family is extended deep condolences. What is now needed is clear evidence of the events that took place in such a misfortunate happening.

Kedar Pandit, a composer has recorded a song titled Sanskar in reverence to lord Ganesha. Talking about the song he says that in his effort to bring about a change in the traditional religious music he has added more elements of rhythm in the form of brass and guitar sections. The song is themed around Ganeshji with his child like nature.

Hence it brings forth newness in terms of quality and also a traditional soul of music in the very same way. The music recording studio’s owner Shekhar Kale informed that such revolutionary songs are getting a welcoming response by the general people. 2008’s one of the top most bollywood hit film Race is all set with is highly awaited sequel – Race 2 to hit the screens. The director duo Abbas-Mastan are very excited about their sequel to the hit and also with great expectations and promises too.

Sources say that this time the thrill and adventure would be double with the most talked about part, that is the cast. The cast includes Saif Ali Khan again, and others are Anil Kapoor and John Abraham.

But the matter of worry is this that Punjab is a helping hand for entire nation in terms of wheat production because entire India banks upon the consumption of wheat for survival.

When DLN Sources asked the about the wastage of 4 Lakh Sacks of precious wheat so at this officials of FCI branch of Ferozepur City started making lame excuses and lambasted blamed state government for not picking up this wheat so far. There is one point to be noticed that had this wheat been imparted among the needy people so at least the hungry belly of million people could be filled.

People are crying in front of the government for imparting this wheat being wasted without any reason but neither deaf state government nor lackluster central government of India is lending an ear to their plea.   In addition to it not only FCI, State Government of Punjab and Central Government of India is responsible for this wastage of 4 lakh sacks of wheat.

This is because the arrangements that are there for keeping this much wheat safe from torrential rain are inadequate. It is to be noticed that these in Punjab it is raining cats and dogs. So when our sources checked all the arrangements for keeping this much wheat safe were found inadequate.    Moreover, when FCI officials were asked about the reasons of improper and insufficient reasons so at this again FCI Officials castigated the state government for not providing enough facilities for the safety of 4 million sacks of wheat that are being wasted there under the rain without any reason.

If the wheat is wasted somewhere like this so why the people of that nation or state should not die with hunger pangs? This is the question lingering in the mind of everyone there. Moreover, another question that is striking the mind of end user is that will they have to die with hunger pangs or will they get this wheat to fill their empty belly.  Now the fury of the people has started bursting in this regard all over the nation.

So it is high time for the government our of nation to pay some heed onto this serious matter. Otherwise that day is not so far away when brutal massacre of million people will take place all over the nation for the sake of some food. So now this wheat being frittered in the stores of FCI Branch of Ferozepur should be imparted among the people as per the orders of the Supreme Court of India.

Konkona Sen Sharma

One of the most efficient onscreen couple, Konkana Sen Sharma and Ranvir Shorey, is soon going to tie the knot and become a real one, officially, so said the Mumbai Mirror on the 2nd of September, 2010. The wedding was supposed to take place soon enough, most probably this week itself. Or rather, it has already happened earlier this week, on the 3 of September, 2010.

The duo exchanged vows on the lucky Friday. The wedding took place at the couple’s residence of Goregaon. Konkona Sen Sharma and Ranvir Shorey have been living together for about two years already and finally, on the lucky eve of 3 September, at 6 pm, they officially got together.

The Times of India photographer, Nilesh Wairkar, snooped around when no one was looking (yes, the media was not really actually invited). Nilesh luckily got a chance to click Ranvir riding his wedding horse. And oh my my! Ranvir was looking smashing in his wonderful wedding attire! The wedding of the Bengal queen was supposed to be a quiet affair with less of the paparazzi to handle. But at least the Times of India, did not make it very easy for them!

Although most of the invited celebrities avoided the media, a handful were generous enough to get us a click after the wedding rituals were over. The generous lot consists of Shilpa Shetty and Fardeen Khan.

DUSU Elections 2010

It was the student’s election in the primary university of the country, Delhi University which saw huge number of students turning out to exercise their voting rights to choose their leader for this academic year. This year too these elections were held on Saturday which saw the victorious innings of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad which is supported by the position party, BJP which gave a big bow to congress after winning three major seats out of the listed four this year.
The president post of DUSU was bagged by Jitendra Choudhry and along with him the vice president elected was Priya Dabas and Neetu Dabas won the seat of the General Secretary of the prestigious student body.

The upcoming adventure reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi x 3 that will be showcased on the Colors channel has undertaken some exclusive elimination process, as the buzz has it that a few contestants had to pack their bags and make their way back to India following a list of elimination issues that struck them. The show that will hit television screens on the 6th of September was scheduled for 25 days shooting duration, but reports reveal that many contestants had to wave a final good bye after they were e3liminated from the show.

Also another actor from Dil Mil gaye, Karan Singh Rover would resume shooting for the show from the 8th of September as he is back in India.

But there is a danger of its comeback with distorting force as the aftershocks are still being felt there.

The English singer and writer Cheryl Cole and ex husband, footballer Ashley Cole got a quick fix divorce from the London High Court’s family division on the 3rd of September. The couple got hitched in 2006 but following newspaper reports about the Chelsea player, Cheryl filed a divorce in the month of May this year. Christopher Simmonds, the district judge who dissolved their marriage titled this case as CAC vs. AC, and dealt with the declaration of rules under special functional rules.

The separation between the two was marked in February this year. Their first meeting was way back in the year 2004 when Ashley fell head over heels for Cheryl. The proposal of marriage came about in 2005 and a year later they hit the Altar being futuristically compared to Beckham and Victoria. But within a term of three years, reports were slashed all over that the player was unfaithful to his wife. Media made hay while the trouble shined in Chelsea and Ashley’s marriage.

In fact Chelsea was several times photographed without her wedding things after their relation went sour. But in February things became pretty evident that the marriage was at its end. ‘Mallika’, directed by Wilson Louis aims to follow closely certain movies tried by the Ramsay Brothers. The film was supposed to be spooky and make the audience jump out of the seats with fear. But neither does happen, instead it makes one realize the torture in sitting throughout the film.

The story does like this: Sanjana, played by Sheena Nayyar wants to escape the scary events and nightmares she had been encountering in her house. She opts for a holiday to get rid of the spooky events and locates hersef in a fort cum resort in Rajasthan. But contrary to her thoughts, things start to get wrong there as well and she has to now prepare for the worst. The fort seems to have buried a shocking secret within, which finally unfolds.

The film is pain to sit through. There is nothing commendable, not even any performances. Sheena Nayyar is a pathetic actor and Sammir Dattani seems lost. Himanshu Mallik , Rajesh Khera and Suresh Nair have nothing to boast of and so does the rest of the cast. The movie is rather a skin show with every lady dressing up in as less as possible. Bathing scenes are frequent and one wonders if the director was banking on this sole selling point. The songs are forgettable and so is the movie.

Ranvir Konkona

Look who got hitched after a series of denials and refusals, Konkana Sen Sharma and Ranvir Shorey have indeed decided to take their attraction to the next level. The duo who always disagreed to a link up when asked by media has finally resolved to hit the altar and claim their union in front of public eyes. Both Kokana and Ranvir are budding actors and have worked together in flicks like Aaja Nachle, Fashion, and Traffic Signal. In fact the shocking factor is that the wedding affair is all hush-hush set for tonight. According to reports the two had been seeing each other for the past couple of years and it seems that as the upcoming film of Ranvir will hit screens today so will he tie the knot tonight.

The marriage is going to be a secret affair and only family members and close friends have been invited. The venue for the wedding is decidedly their Goregaon home. Sources revealed that both the actors have always tried to keep their private lives under cover away from media speculations. Every thing is lined for the wedding and Aparna Sen, Konkana’s mother is already around to look after the wedding preparations.

Sources also revealed that even though Ranvir is out promoting his new flick that is releasing today that is the 3rd of September, the actor has not even spread a hint of his personal plans to even the cast and crew of Emotional Atyachar.
