Victoria Beckham May Get Role In Sex And The City Sequel

After turning down an offer the first time around, Victoria Beckham may just get a second chance at a cameo role in the Sex And The City movie sequel.

The fashionista turned down a walk-on role in the first film because she was too busy rehearsing for the Spice Girls’ reunion tour in 2007, but this time around the former Spice Girl is hoping to score a part alongside Sarah Jessica Parker in the anticipated film.

A source tells Britain’s Mail:

“She really wanted to be in the last movie but wasn’t able to take part because of her commitments with the Spice Girls. This time she’s keen to take part.”

Although it’s reported Victoria has started taking acting lessons, this wouldn’t be her first experienceas an actress, she starred as herself in the 1997 movie Spice World and also made a cameo in one episode of the comedy series Ugly Betty.

Channing Tatum And Jenna Dewan Tie The Knot

G.I. Joe star Channing Tatum, 29, and his lady Jenna Dewan, 28, got married on Saturday, July 11, 2009 in a ceremony in Malibu.

Us Weekly reports the love-birds tied the knot in a 15 minute ceremony at the Church Estates Vineyards, the same place Black Eyed Peas leading lady Fergie and her hunk of a man Josh Duhamel wed this January.

More than 200 guests attended including Dewan’s maid of honor, Entourage star Emmanuelle Chriqui and singer-actress Haylie Duff also being a member of the bridal party.

The couple first met on set of the 2006 dance movie Step Up and announced their engagement in September.

LaToya Jackson Says Michael Was Murdered

In a new interview with Britain’s News of The World, LaToya Jackson, one of the late Michael Jackson’s sisters, claims the King of Pop was murdered for his fortune.

She says he was purposely killed by those closest to him in a bid to get hold of his mega-bucks music publishing catalogues, which she insists are worth well over a $1 billion and she adds she first became suspicious MJ had been murdered after discovering around $2 million in cash and jewelry were missing from his Los Angeles home following his death.

In her 4 hour interview she says “Michael was murdered,” though refusing to name the people she believes are responsible for the death.

“We don’t think just one person was involved in the murder. It was a conspiracy to get Michael’s money.”

She says in the months leading up to his London performances, Michael told her that he was on a six-month detox to prepare for his comeback, but LaToya says she had other suspicions.

“Michael was being inappropriately treated by people who got him hooked on drugs,” she told the News of the World. “He had many needle marks on his neck and on his arms, and more about those will emerge in the next few weeks. But nothing has changed my mind that this was murder.”

“Michael always had cash in his homes, usually around $2 million which he used to pay out on things. People said he wasn’t wealthy, but Michael always had money with him.”

“When I went to the house later that day there was no cash or jewelry. So many people had been through that house before I got there. Someone went in there and did a good job. It was very strange.”

And LaToya reveals that Jackson himself always feared for his life and suspected people were “out to get him” in order to take over the rights of his own mega-hits, as well as a huge portion of the Beatles’ back-catalogue.

“A couple of years ago Michael told me he was worried that people were out to get him. He said, ‘They’re gonna kill me for my publishing. They want my catalogues and they’re gonna kill me for these.’

“I knew something terrible was going to happen.”

But out of it all she says even though this tragedy has left the Jackson family broken-hearted, “this has united the family. We’re all in pain and suffering the loss of Michael … but we’re also determined to get to the bottom of what happened to him.”

Sarah Palin Says She’s Not Leaving Politics

After announcing on July 3 that she would leave her position as governor of Alaska while in the middle of her first term, Sarah Palin now says that she is not only staying involved in national politics, but she plans to jump back onto the national scene when she leaves office at the end of the month.

In an interview published on Sunday in The Washington Times, Palin says she plans to write a book, campaign for political candidates from coast to coast including Democrats who share her views on limited government, national defence and energy independence and build a right-of-centre coalition.

“I will go around the country on behalf of candidates who believe in the right things, regardless of their party label or affiliation.”

She also says:

“I’m not ruling out anything. It is the way I have lived my life from the youngest age. Let me peek out there and see if there’s an open door somewhere. And if there’s even a little crack of light, I’ll hope to plow through it.”

On her book she plans to write she said:

“I can’t talk about any of those things while I’m still governor.”

MVP Quarterback Steve McNair Laid to Rest

MVP quarterback Steve McNair, 36, who was killed in Nashville on the Fourth of July in a murder-suicide by 20-year-old Sahel Kazemi, was laid to rest in a shining silver casket, covered in white flowers, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

His funeral was held at the Reed Green Coliseum on the University of Southern Mississippi campus and was filled with over 5,000 of McNairs friends and family there to say goodbye for the final time. Besides of course McNair’s wife, Mechelle, his sons and his mother, Lucille, also there were Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis, NFL quarterbacks Brett Favre, Vince Young, and Jay Cutler, and Titans Coach Jeff Fisher.

During the memorial, Ray Lewis stood to talk about how he had made a promise to McNair when the two became teammates in Baltimore in 2006 — a promise to visit Mississippi. Lewis finally made it, and he was overwhelmed.

Lewis said:

“I find myself in awe when I speak about a man like Steve McNair. I find myself in awe when I find I get to speak in the place where it all started from.”

Titans Vince Young also spoke saying:

“Steve was like a hero to me and heroes are not supposed to die.”

“I used to walk, talk and try to be like Steve every day. And to see you all sitting right there, my brothers, I want to let you know I am here … if you need me for anything, the same thing he did for me, I am here for you all.”

So sad. Our hearts are with his friends and family during this difficult time.

Couple That Had 16 Kids Shot And Killed During Home Invasion

How tragic.

Byrd and Melanie Billings, a couple in Escambia County, Florida that had 16 kids, were found dead on Thursday night in their home. Both had been shot in a reported home invasion. The police are investigating their death as a homicide. None of the children were harmed during the shooting. They say 8 of the children were home at the time of the shooting.

According to WKRG, of the 16 children 12 of them were adopted, some having special needs.

Police are now on a manhunt for three men wanted in the murder. They have few leads, and say the murders happened right near the Alabama Florida borders.

Artie Lange Arrested On Suspicion Of DUI

TMZ is reporting that ‘Howard Stern Show’ veteran Artie Lange, who recently got out of rehab for drugs and alcohol abuse, was arrested on suspicion of DUI about an hour ago in Toms River, NJ, after he got into a minor car accident.

Ryan Gosling’s Interesting Analogy

The Notebook hottie Ryan Gosling, 28, is releasing his debut album on October 6 with his band Dead Man’s Bones. In the band, Ryan plays several instruments including piano and guitar. The guys have spent 2 years working on their album, which is on Anti Records.
It also features a children’s choir called the Silverlake Conservatory Children’s Choir, and is comprised of kids ages 5 to 17.

Of his fun project Ryan says:

“You know when you’re a kid and you get crayons and papers and just draw whatever you want and it’s just a bunch of messy lines, but to you it makes sense, and then they put it on the fridge?

From that point on, you’re always trying to get back on the fridge, you start drawing things that look like something, like, the more it looks like a horse, the more chance you have of getting it on the fridge. We wanted to get back to that place before we were trying to make the fridge. We wanted to work with people who hadn’t been affected in that way yet.”
