Ettusais Lash Bash

I received this adorable mailer in my mailbox a few days ago to attend the Ettusais Lash Bash!

We had so much fun! We found the missing lashes and were given tips for caring our eyelashes and also heard the horror stories about mites growing in the hair follicles. *goosebumps*

All the ambassadors were given a challenge. Here’s the pledge that I did.

Hence, no falsies for the next 5 days. I will survive, I will survive, I will survive…

I will be updating my lash diary every night from today onwards. Do keep a lookout for more tips for caring your lashes and making them look healthy and alluring!

Sanrio x Dr. Martens

Man, these gorgeous boots are to die for!

Dr. Martens and Sanrio have teamed up for a collaboration featuring Sanrio characters on limited editions of Dr. Martens 1460 8-eye boot and Mary Jane strap shoe.

Here’s my favourite pair! I think the boots are more quirky and fun to wear compared to the Mary Janes. What say you?

Recommended by Nadia, this fun and quirky looking little cafe called With a Pinch of Salt is located at Tanjong Katong. I didn’t know that it’s so close to my office!

The decor of the cafe looks really cheery and colorful.

Keep Acne Away

Acne is an inflammatory disorder of the oil glands, located under the skin. When the glands secrete more oil than normal, the oil becomes trapped under the skin and this causes acne to form.

Never ever squeeze your pimples or acne! This will lead to scarring and I am sure you wouldn’t want ugly scars on your face!

Packed in a tiny tube, I would bring the Medicated Acne Clear Spots Superior ($39) with me wherever I go. It helps to prevent blemishes from occurring and also softens the zits! I can even use this on top of my makeup. Furthermore, it’s non-greasy and is easily absorbed by the skin.

During PMS, the Medicated Acne Pre-acne Care Sheet ($49 for 50 sheets, $37 refill) comes in handy! I always get zits on my chin and temple areas. It contains peony essence to protect the skin from sebum and tranexamic acid to calm the skin down and improve rough skin.

It also comes with a tweezer to pick up a sheet at a time. The sheets are shaped with 3 cuts to fit the curves on the face. Very nifty.

I have been using this everyday for 2 weeks before my period, each time for 10 minutes. It works wonder! Bye bye zits!

Floral Fresh

I have been suffering from back acne as my back tends to perspire a lot. Thanks to the Medicated Acne Aroma Body Wash ($34), it contains antiseptic and anti-inflammatory ingredient which helps to counter sebum and suppress the growth of acne-causing bacteria. This means lesser back acne, hooray!

A tiny amount foams up to create a rich lather to protect the skin from friction and washes away sebum residue. It also helps to relieve stress and makes me smell fruity fresh after shower!

Now it comes in a new scent, Floral Fresh! A limited edition body wash which contains rose, cherry blossom, water lily, kiwi and vanilla in it!

I love using this before bedtime as it helps me to relax and leaves a nice lingering floral scent on my body. My back acne has lessen after using it!

Here’s another product for the body, the Medicated Acne White Body Mist ($38). It has whitening properties that helps to control the formulation of melanin, and AC control oil to prevent acne.

I usually spray this on my chest and back after showering and once at night before I go to bed. It helps to lighten the scars on my body. You can even use it upside down for hard to reach places like your back! Furthermore, it doubles up as a moisturizer to soothe rough and chapped skin. I’m gonna use this for my legs too!

Hong Kong Day 5 – Mongkok

This marked the last day of our trip to Hong Kong. We didn’t get to follow the itinerary I had planned initially. But still, the time I had with silly boss is well spent.

Last day, at Mong Kok!

Boss was telling me that SMRT had used the idea from Hong Kong’s MTR. I ain’t sure about that, but one thing I am pretty sure is that the Hongkies are really well disciplined. Look at the markings on the floor and the exit area. Singaporeans, please learn from them lah!

Us in the train! I think some people mentioned that the train system in Hong Kong is worse as the population in Hong Kong is much higher than ours. Total bullshit can?!

The Hongkies are more civilized as they don’t push their way into the train like kan cheong spiders. Also, they would stand at the right side of the escalator and let the other commuters pass through on the left. Kudos to them!

We dropped by at the ever popular Ladies’ Market for bargain shopping! Things are really cheap there (but mostly fake). Haha.

Langham Place!

Found LUSH! YAYYYYYYY!!!

Got my LUSH bath bombs. WOO HOOO! But I had forgotten where I kept them! Arghhhhh!

We strolled around the eateries area and found Yoshinoya. I think I am quite bo liao to eat Yoshinoya in Hong Kong. But the thing is, they serve pork! Darn delicious! Haha.

Langham Place is smacked right in the middle of Mong Kok. A very nice place to shop all day long! Man, I shall stay at Langham Place Hotel the next time!

We walked across the street and I saw something familiar.

OH YES it’s 许留山!

许留山 a.k.a Hui Lau Shan is one of the most famous dessert chain in Hong Kong. They are everywhere on the streets! You MUST try this if you are in Hong Kong!

They feature mainly mango with all kinds of combination with fruits, coconut and jellies. Love mango, yums!

Happy to find this gem yay!

I ordered their mango with Pulut Hitam and coconut milk. The chunks of mango are really sweet. Simply heavenly!

Now you don’t! *wipes saliva* Yes, it is THAT GOOD.

Boss had Strawberry with Mango puree drink.

After having our dessert, we went back to our hotel to check out and took the airport express bus to the airport. Very sad, have to leave Hong Kong soon.

Rain again!

The moment we reached the airport, we were hungry again! But this sucks!

Bought the pineapple salted egg pastry. Darn good! Anything with salted egg is TASTY! Yummeh! After this trip, confirm gained weight!

Now, I am wondering when will the next trip be?

Hong Kong Day 4 – Harbour City, Ocean Park, Central

The lovely weather and scenery is such a bliss. But shortly after, it started to drizzle. Quite romantic eh haha.

Seems like boss is still in sleeping mode.

The reason why we are at Harbour City – New York Fries! Awfully sinful but absolutely delicious! The generous portions of mayo and bacon made us drool.

Can somebody franchise this? I can be the ambassador!

Up next, Ocean Park! Kinda regretted going there, we should have planned to go Disneyland. Oh wells, probably next time. Macau + Disneyland!

We went for the dolphin sea lion show but it kept raining non-stop! And sadly, we didn’t get our seats! Not only that, those PRCs were pushing and yelling throughout the entire show. This woman even used her wet umbrella and shove it onto Boss’s newly bought H&M bermudas. He got really pissed and scolded her, macho!

After the show, we managed to squeeze through the crowd and proceeded to our next destination.

H&M! Bought a few apparels there and the entire boutique is awesome! Too bad they disallow photo-taking. Can someone bring this brand to Singapore too?

Walked down a few streets and spotted Tsui Wah Restaurant, recommended by my secret manual address book! Hee hee.

Their best selling condensed milk butter bun. It’s truly amazing that such a simple food can be that delicious! The bun is drizzled with condensed milk, spread with butter and toasted to perfection. The moment we sink our teeth into the bun, it melted in our mouths! It’s really moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. *drools*

We even dabaoed one more back for supper, though we are extremely bloated already.

Even though we are on the verge of puking, we knew we had to try this out the moment we saw it. Guess what? Bird’s nest egg tart! Atas anot?

TMD this taste like shit. The mango is too sour.
