Ever considered going for IPL treatment for whitening? What if you just have to pay a fraction of the amount to get the same effect?

For the first time, White Perfect Laser from L’Oreal Paris Dermo-Expertise challenges to deliver comparable results against the peak of Whitening Technology – Intense Pulsed Light (IPL). What a bold statement!

Here we have the White Perfect Laser Anti-Spot Brightening Essence (S$39.90, 30ml) and White Perfect Laser All-Round Protection Whitening Cream SPF19/PA+++ (S$32.90, 50ml)

I’ve briefly tried both products and really love their textures. The essence is easier to absorb unlike the cream, which is much thicker and heavier. A clinical trial conducted in L’Oreal Laboratories show that 8 weeks of daily application of both White Perfect Laser Essence and Day Cream SPF19/PA+++ delivered comparable results to those obtained from one IPL session on six key dimensions women seek, which are:

Shrinking of spots
Fading of dark spots
Improving skin texture
Improving skin smoothness
More radiant skin
Less visible pores

I will do a more in-depth review after finishing this product. Hope it work wonders! =)

Here’s a little test we did. We shone the UV light onto the model’s face and wrinkles, fine lines, pigmentations, spots and freckles started to form. Horrible!

I tried the Rose Moisturizing Mask which gives a very subtle rose scent. Any products with rose water in it certainly attracts me The mask was dripping with the essence when I took it out from the packaging. I had to quickly apply it on my arms and feet, no wastage at all!

I left it on for about 20 minutes and my face feels extremely supple and moisturized after that. Absolutely love the texture of the sheet masks as they are made from silk wood pulp, which feels extremely soft and super-thin. However, I feel that it’s a tad too big for my face.

When GV Jurong Point was closed for renovation, Boss and I were so disappointed! Cos we frequent there a lot for late night movies hehe. At last, GV Jurong Point finally reopened after a whopping $4.5 million renovation! :O Yay!

Being born in the 80′s allow me to see lots of changes to the society. I grew up watching superheroes on TV and The Avengers is definitely one of them. This action movie balanced the role of each superhero perfectly well, with combined wit, humor and emotions. Of course, there are other scenes to keep you entertained throughout the entire movie. I had a good laugh when Hulk thrashed Loki like a ragdoll. Don’t say that I didn’t tell you, remember to stay till the end before the credits

Maybelline 2012 Product Launch at Covelli

Maybelline Singapore held a bloggers and fans event sometime in February to introduce their new products for 2012 at Covelli Italian Bistro & Wine Bar. The restaurant is located at Orchard Central, I had a tough time looking for it cos the structure of the mall is just weird -_-

Fashion show by Love Bonito. I won the first dress by the way! Mad pretty. Can’t wait to wear it out And I realized that the model is Shine! My fellow mate from the Casio Sheen blogging challenge hahaha!

Maybelline B.B UV White (S$17.90) has 8 benefits in 1 tube and comes with SPF50 PA+++ to guard dark spots, uneven skin tone and lines due to sun exposure. Available in 01 Fresh and 02 Natural.

Tiphanie had tried 02 Natural on her arm but it’s too dark for her. I’ve tried too but it doesn’t suit me either Wish I had the 01 Fresh instead.

Maybelline Volume Express Magnum Ultra Comb Waterproof Mascara (S$19.90). What a mouthful! :O

The Ultra Comb applicator is exquisitely curved to fit well to Asian eyelids. The wand is different from the usual brush applicator. I think the new design is much more hygienic.

Maybelline Jelly Glow Blush (S$15.90) has a unique bouncy cream formula that goes “boing boing” when you press it hahaha! It gives a subtle blush and radiance to the cheeks and is pretty easy to blend.

The compact design of this product makes it perfect to store in my bags, makeup pouch, purse or even pockets! The only downside is I need to apply at least 3 swipes to make it noticeable. Available in 4 shades and I’ve received the one in 02 Fresh Pink and 04 Sweet Momo.

Masterliner White (S$11.90) helps to create a white line effect for higher contrast and a cleaner under eye. The pencil is also smudge-proof & waterproof.
