Back From My Cruise

As many of you already know, I made it back from my lovely cruise a few days ago. It was just as wonderful as I suspected. Of course, I knew what to expect since it was my third one, but I don't think it could ever get old to me. It is such pretty scenery and nice weather that I don't understand how anyone could not enjoy it. I loved everything about, but there was this one thing I was totally impressed it. You're going to laugh, but it was the bathroom hand dryers. Those things were powerful. They were automatic of course, but once you stuck your wet hands under them, it only took seconds to dry. When I say seconds, I am talking about ten seconds. I couldn't believe it. I would love to purchase something like this for my bathrooms at home. That is how impressed I was with them. Wonder if people would make fun of me for having one in my home bathroom?

Thinking About a New Computer

My husband and I both have desktop computers and we also have one laptop. However, our laptop is extremely old. I really would like to try and purchase a new one before the year is over. I know that is way too many computers in one house, but it would be nice to sit in front of the fireplace and television while doing some of my work. Now my only problem is figuring out what size computer memory and other accessories I would need. This will definitely be a job for my husband. He knows more about this than I do. Although, he does tend to under estimate what I would like to have. So, maybe I should get his opinion and then order the next size up. Doesn't that sound like a good plan?

Daily Routines

Doesn't everyone have daily routines? I was thinking about this earlier as I talked to my daughter about how she should start using eye cream. She tried to tell me that is just one more step that would be time consuming for her. I told her that the important stuff like this shouldn't be left out of a daily routine and she would be thankful in years to come that she did take care of herself, especially her skin on her face. She has promised to start using it, but I am definitely going to be monitoring the situation. I want her to always look young a pretty. There's nothing wrong with that, is there?

Life Insurance is Important

Life insurance is important to our family. I have witnessed so many times when a family didn't have the proper amount of life insurance, or none at all. In fact, I was just discussing this today with one of my best friends. She knows how important it is because her sister was left without any when her husband passed away. It left her and her kids in a major bind and they had no clue how they were going to make it without any income. I encouraged my friend to at least look at a life insurance quote and just see how much she could get some for. She has promised me she would, so I am hoping she realizes it is not as expensive as she was thinking. I hate to see anything happen to anyone, but sometimes you have to be prepared for the worst.

Teeth are Important to Me

I know I shouldn't be so obsessive about a smile, but teeth are important to me. I have always tried to take care of mine and I have always tried to encourage my kids to do the same. I keep up with the latest trends and was interested when I read about implant dentist Plano. It's a really cool thing to read about. If teeth and smiles are important to you and your family, then you should read about it too. I have been telling everyone, so thought I would share it with my readers as well.

Wanting Another Motorhome

My husband I had to sell motorhome a couple of year ago. Well I suppose we didn't have to, but we did because of the amount of time we really had to use it. Needless to say, we want another one. See, the thing is, his job is now a different one than he had back then. He is more flexible with the amount of time he takes off. I would love it now if we had another motorhome so when he gets a couple free days we could just take off to the lake for the weekend. Maybe it's something to think about for our next big purchase instead of another car.

As many of my readers already may know. I decided a while back that I want my skin to look as good as my mothers when I am her age. I also shared with you guys how she has been a faithful believer in wrinkle cream for most of her life. I decided to make this a habit of mine. I figure I might as well start using it, even though I should have started years ago. The way I see it, any little bit to make myself look younger couldn't hurt. I just wanted to report, I have been doing a really good job remembering, which is so unlike me.

Clean Water

My daughter has really been playing a much different role lately. It's actually pretty nice. She is paying more close attention to what she eats and drinks. Just this morning she ask if we could order a new ukf7003axx filter for our water. I told her if she has the time to help me then I have the time to place the order. I figure whatever I can do to get some help around this house then I will try it. Now it's the end of the day and the laundry is all done, thanks to my daughter. I sure hope she keeps up this great effort.

Scrapbooking Some Old Photos

Tomorrow I plan on scrapbook some more old photos. I use to try and start with the oldest photos I have, but it seems here lately I only want to scrapbook recent events. I know that is not really the proper way, but I love looking at what we have done just over the past year. So, tomorrow I plan on making a small scrapbook for my daughter with her senior trip to panama city beach fl. She has been asking for these photos for months, so I think it will be a nice surprise.

My friend's husband called me last week inquiring about what he should buy his wife for her birthday. Immediately, I gave him an answer than all women would love. I said "diamonds." It's a woman's best friend. He said he might have to have some help picking it out. I thought to myself that it might not be such a good idea to allow me to help pick it out. I know what would happen. I would pick out something that is beyond what he wants to pay. Any suggestions?

A Lovely Vacation

My neighbors kids came over this afternoon and told me all about their trip they just returned from. It was so exciting for them. I explained to them how I helped their mom in booking their vacation. Speaking of which, orlando vacations are not nearly as high as some vacations. I would love it if my children were young enough to take them back to Orlando.A mom can always dream.

Cleaning House

I am proud of myself because I spent several hours cleaning this morning without taking one break to eat, watch tv or do nothing. I wanted to focus on some high points that needed cleaned the most. On of those was even the kitchen sink. You would think the kitchen sink would be the cleanest thing in your house since water is always running through it, but after my cleaning job this morning then that apparently isn't so.

My Friend's Son

A friend of mine called today in a panic because her little boy isn't such a little boy anymore. She said that his face is starting to breakout and she doesn't know what to do. I immediately told her about Accutane and told her it worked for my stepson during those trying times. It brought back old memories of what I use to go through trying to clear up my sons face. I am so thankful we are past that stage in our life and I feel for her and what she is going through.

A New Plan

This week I am going to be trying a new diet plan. I have tried just about everything and have an opinion on all of it. However, I feel like I am running out of time losing these last five pounds. My cruise is just a little over a month away and I have to drop those pounds fast. A friend of mine has recommended apidexin because it has worked well for her. She has dropped her weight fast, so we will see how it goes for me.

To me and my family, health insurance is a must. I just don't think any family should be without it. We have been considering trying to find another insurance provider and would love to get some ideas on health insurance leads. My Teacher Friend

My friend that is a preschool teacher ask me to help her find some really good and sturdy preschool furniture. I have been having a difficult time with this, but today I hit the jackpot. I am so excited for her to come over tomorrow and check out all the cool things I have found. All the excitement has made me realize I should have been a teacher. Too late now.

A Kitchen in the Country

Who says life in the country can't have things that a city house has? My husband finally finished with the porcelain tile kitchen floor and it looks wonderful! I was a little skeptical in the beginning since my kitchen has that country sort of look, but the tiles fit right in. I honestly think these types of floors would look good in any style of house. You should check them out for your house. You can't ask for anything better floor to keep clean.

With life in the country, there is always a need for equestrian apparel, or at least my daughter thinks so. She has loved to ride horses since she was just a little girl. It has always been a major part of her life. I am thinking about trying to buy her some new riding clothes. She truly deserves them. She has been wearing the same apparel for many years now without complaining. This should be fun picking out new things. I have already noticed that the clothes they make for riding now has changed so much. She will be in for a really big surprise.

Diet Pills

Thanks to my diet pills, I don't have to worry as much about losing the five pounds I gained over the weekend. It seems everytime I work hard to shed a few pounds, some big thing happens and we get invited to some really huge buffet style gathering. Everytime I gain weight. I have got to learn to not eat so much as those functions. I spend the next week trying to lose what I picked up.

My cousin just gave birth to their first son today. It's a beautiful and healthy little boy. I am so happy for them and can't imagine after having four girls, now they are going to be raising a little boy. Can't you just see it now? Poor little thing, having to put up with four older sisters. I told my cousin I was going to look around for her some birth announcements. This is worth announcing to everyone.

Working on Our Newest Pond

We now have a new pond in our backyard and I have been researching all different types of pond pumps. I don't want to buy something that is more powerful than we need, but on the other hand I am almost afraid I will buy something that won't do the job we need it too. I guess it would be better to be safe than sorry in the long run. I am sure I will call them and get more details before I order, but once everything is complete I will post a picture of my new pond.

Acne can be a Pain

I know from experience that acne can be a major pain when it comes to clearing up on teenagers. My son had a hard time with it when he was younger. One of the main keys to clearing it up is finding an acne treatment and using it quickly once you have seen the signs of it approaching. I admit, I waited much longer before finding a treatment than I should have. Normally acne will not clear up on it's own and will only get worse, so don't put it off any longer than you have too.
