Work takes over your life at first, followed by marriage then your family (gasp). I don't think I really ever believed them back then. In fact, till now I remain quite unconvinced about it, though now that I've had a small taste of what adulthood is all about, I think I have a better understanding about why people say so.

It's not quite about losing friends as much as it is about losing the acquaintance-friends. While in school, it's pretty easy to always meet many people repeatedly, forming some semblance of a "friendship" with them - project mates, classmates, people you just bump into around the campus...but really, how many of them are really considered friends in the true sense of the word?

First, what are friends? What does being or having a friend mean to you? According to dictionary.com -

friend   /frɛnd/
–noun
1.a person attached to another by feelings of affection or personal regard.
2.a person who gives assistance; patron; supporter: friends of the Boston Symphony.
3.a person who is on good terms with another; a person who is not hostile: Who goes there? Friend or foe?

Hmm, those are rather vague definitions don't you think?

Well, let's go with the first one for now - "a person attached to another by feelings of affection or personal regard." I might be idealistic, but if you really were properly and sufficiently emotionally attached to a person, wouldn't you put some effort into keeping in touch despite being busy as hell over your head? Of course, this is all assuming that things are peachy and the person holds you in the same regard - none of those dramatic fall-outs or you-stole-my-boyfriend or one-sided-love-affair issues, etc. - but just proper, good, solid friendship. That should last, no?

It is of my opinion that being busy and whatnot = excuses. If you want something badly enough, you can and will make time for it no matter what.

And because of that, I feel that stepping into adulthood is more of a culling process over everything else. It is a filter installed so that you sieve out the sides and keep only the best of the best. The friends that you keep over the years, the friends who care.

I don't know if this is the case or if I'm just simply blessed to have friends who care and try and bother, but yeah, I don't think I'm losing any of them. Not the ones who matter, anyway.

To that, I say hurrah! And may we share many more years of great friendship and laughter. :)

gee, whiz!

Woo, it's been a long time since I've last blogged. So sad! I've had this blog since I was 16 (or 15?)...and now it's practically inactive.

Oh well. I guess as life gets busier, certain things start taking a backseat.

Anyway, not sure how many people still visit this place, but there's a job on Cordelia's side - race queen event this weekend, 11am-7pm, $200. Email her at corde_luv_toro@hotmail.com if you're interested. :)

dead blong :(

As I'm sure everyone can tell, my blog is dying, and the chances of it being revived properly anytime soon are...well, slim.

Work has been busy but nevertheless fun - love the colleagues and the environment. :) Unfortunately, after staring at the computer screen around the working clock every weekday, chances are by the time after work or the weekend rolls around, the last thing I want to do is to stare at my laptop screen. I don't even check my Facebook very regularly any longer! Or log onto MSN to chat! The only thing that constantly gets attention from me is my email. Sad huh. So much for social media and using web 2.0 to keep your life happening and in touch...maybe that will change once I switch phones. (Read: once I get over all my indecisiveness over what phone to get next).

That all being said, I will /try/ to update soon...because Ming and Grace just got married on Saturday! Will upload pictures of the wedding, the dashing groom and the beautiful bride. ;)

Also, I'll be heading to Sydney this Thursday for a week! Can't wait. I've never been to Sydney, and the last time I went to Australia was when I was 11 - oh goodness, that's more than a decade ago I just realised.

Ooh, how time flies.

Let me know if you guys want anything from Sydney. A huge congratulations to them - the spanking new facilities and awesome flooring totally were making me bleed with envy.

So it was a black & gold themed salsa party, but almost nobody dressed up to theme. Not even the hosts themselves (who performed in white and gold)! Gasp. We were no exception to the rule - ADS put together a cha cha performance to Azu Ki Ki...clad in funky/random/eclectic black and white.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_I3_nHUtFeaw/St6JE28kSII/AAAAAAAABjw/_TIO6afaZB4/s400/team.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5394900120198465666" />

We did quite a bit of mirror-whoring too, thanks to Miche. Six weeks after the baby was born, she was adopted. The doctor never met or saw his baby daughter.

Twenty years ago, the doctor returned to the country and resumed contact with his then-girlfriend, but it was not until 1991 that he met his daughter, then 25.

Within 72 hours of their meeting, the doctor said he felt ''intimacy and closeness'' and, later that year, his daughter moved to Australia and their relationship began. A son was born when the sexual relationship between the doctor and his daughter was ending, he said.

The revelations of the doctor's incestuous relationship were revealed during Family Court proceedings relating to another partner in 2006. He was subsequently charged with incest and was earlier this year sentenced to one year's jail, wholly suspended for two years.

The doctor, his daughter and their son cannot be identified for legal reasons.

Yesterday the doctor, who has been a practising GP since the 1980s, told the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal that he was remorseful for actions that he ''remains in shock about".

''I am unable to give an account of how I managed to allow that behaviour to continue,'' he said. ''[I feel] shame and remorse for the injuries I've caused and the inexcusable nature of my actions.''

The doctor, who sees between 100 and 130 patients each week, said their son, now a teenager, lived with him in Melbourne and he appeared to have coped ''better than anyone could have imagined'' - and was aware that his father was also his grandfather.

Andrew Clements, for the Medical Practitioners Board of Victoria, said the doctor's actions were ''reprehensible'', constituted ''gross disregard'' for his daughter's wellbeing and that he should have been aware of the cognitive defects that could occur when a child was born in an incestuous relationship.

He said the tribunal's options included suspension or cancellation of the doctor's practising licence, which, if it did occur, should last until the end of his suspended sentence.

Phillip Priest, QC, for the doctor, said a reprimand was also available to the tribunal and that the Medical Practitioners Board did not see his actions as a risk to the community because it had twice met to discuss the doctor and he had not been deregistered.

''He doesn't raise any spectre of pedophilia,'' he said.

The tribunal also heard that both the doctor and his daughter have other children born to other partners. The tribunal reserved its decision.

--Taken from http://www.theage.com.au
--

How disturbing. And it really makes me wonder why the daughter isn't blamed here either. After all, if you agreed to all this at the age of 25, I don't think that the excuse of coercion and ignorance is valid any longer!

F1 2009

Really, really late update coming along now - on the Singapore Grand Prix - Formula One 2009.

Guess who was on the starting grid with all the drivers this year? :)

So, yeah, I was a fake Singtel Grid Girl (together with 29 others) to make up numbers on the grid and add-on to the top 20 girls in the competition. Congratulations to Shumin, Constance and Cordelia for winning top 3!

We were transported around from the Singtel Tower at Pickering Street to the circuit via the specially chartered and wrapped Singtel Grid Girls Hippo Bus! I love these topless Hippo Buses - the feel of your hair streaming behind you in the wind is priceless. Plus we're elevated so high up compared to the other vehicles on the road that we get to more or less escape the pollution. Not to mention the view...

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_I3_nHUtFeaw/Ssqll1C2MmI/AAAAAAAABiQ/g6gHfAPfdF4/s400/hippobus.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5389301973414982242" />

Unfortunately, we weren't allowed to bring our cameras or phones around so we have really few pictures in uniform, and completely none of us on the grid! Guess I should find some time to go online and dig up some pictures of us on the starting grid from various media sites/photographers.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_I3_nHUtFeaw/SsqmnbAH5LI/AAAAAAAABiw/xPh2jr4FDJU/s400/june.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5389303100295603378" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_I3_nHUtFeaw/SsqmnLWpysI/AAAAAAAABio/sRPtVANhduE/s400/gridgirls.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5389303096095132354" />

Here's me with my partner on the grid, Su Yin (and Cheryl's head cheekily popping into the photo). We were originally slotted to be on Kimi Raikonnen's grid but somehow landed on Torro Rosso's Buemi instead. Su Yin was holding his placard and I was waving the Swiss flag. Frickin' heavy man, especially so when the wind starts up. But on the bright side, Jenson Button (my new favorite driver) was right in front of us. Lucky Sam and Amanda got to be on his grid!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_I3_nHUtFeaw/Ssqmn1XT9nI/AAAAAAAABi4/B13XuNqesi4/s400/partners.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5389303107372185202" />

Cheryl looks damn cute here right? Haha.

After that, we changed out and photowhored excessively in the tent and on the bus out of the circuit. Most of the girls stayed on for the official F1 party, but a number of us were too tired/feet had died/didn't feel like partying and so partied our way back to the Singtel Tower on the Hippo bus instead.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_I3_nHUtFeaw/SsqnI5zRmoI/AAAAAAAABjA/3rgZqOVstgs/s400/zeeboobs.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5389303675498896002" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_I3_nHUtFeaw/SsqnJfYlY8I/AAAAAAAABjI/zGesZmilF5Y/s400/corde.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5389303685587493826" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_I3_nHUtFeaw/SsqnJpYbLxI/AAAAAAAABjQ/BiXFASr4fJ4/s400/sam!.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5389303688271179538" />

It was quite something to see the blown up pictures of the various girls plastered all over the bus. Cordelia made me risk my life to run out to the middle of the road, just to snap a photo of her with herself on the bus!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_I3_nHUtFeaw/SsqlmQ_ce6I/AAAAAAAABiY/C2amYWPo4qI/s400/bus1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5389301980916906914" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_I3_nHUtFeaw/Ssqlm8e5gpI/AAAAAAAABig/hhG4JXzNsiI/s400/bus2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5389301992591557266" />

Well, all I can say is that being a Singtel Grid Girl isn't easy. Working for the supporting races in the day was literally painful, as the sun was scorchingly hot and bright to the point that the asphalt was just absorbing all that heat nonstop. We could feel our feet sizzling through our boots and socks! Many of the girls got blisters from just standing on the grid for the supporting races. Fortunately the bottoms of my feet are so abused and thick-skinned from all the salsa dancing that I do so it wasn't so bad for me.

For the final race itself, we were standing on the starting grid for a ridiculously long time. We were the first to march out, then we had to wait, then the mechanics came in, then more waiting, then the drivers drove in, and there was still more aimless waiting before we finally were given the cue to march out of the grid.

Still, I suppose it was fun and quite an eye-opening experience to be in the centre of all that action on the track.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_I3_nHUtFeaw/SsqnKEAuI6I/AAAAAAAABjY/-GQOFXIC-7M/s400/f1pass.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5389303695419515810" />

And so I shall leave you with my smiling picture on my F1 all-access pass. ;)

Shall update with pictures and a video of the performance at Jitterbugs on F1 Friday soon!

black & gold salsa party!

Vamos Bailar takes a break for the month of September as we head on down to Jitterbugs' BLACK AND GOLD SALSA PARTY, #B1-08 The Cathay, Fri 25 Sep 2009, 21:00 – 23:00.

Hit the dance floor with your grooves and moves, dressed in Black and Gold, Fame-style (think 80s). We'll be showcasing our new chacha choreography at Jitterbugs' official studio opening this Friday night at the Jitterbugs Studio at the basement floor of The Cathay! So come on down to watch and support if you'll be free and around the area.

Also, Moses has somehow acquired an electronic keyboard and a box drum (whatever its proper name is - the one that looks like a drum and when you hit different parts of it, it produces different types of sounds) and so he's got me hooked onto jamming at his house! We have Mo the drummer, Ming the lead guitarist, Zee the singer/guitarist, and me the singer/keyboardist...and of course, E-Wan the band manager! So far the jamming results have been so-so - we've got poor band chemistry I tell you! But I suppose t's all in the name of good fun though and I'm sure it'll get better with more practice too. :P

That aside, we're getting a new car now that yours truly has her driving license. Discussion still in the works with the parents (budget issues, must be a small car so I won't bang it around too much, etc etc) but will keep you all updated once we've decided.

Shall keep my fingers crossed for getting what I want, hopefully!

on the road!

Driving is really quite exciting so far - managed to persuade my mom into letting me take the car out for a short spin on Saturday! Handling the terrible family Merc is really not as easy as I thought it would be though, especially after being so used to the nifty Hondas that we use in driving school. Parking is a major bitch because the car is just soooo loooooooong.

Anyhow, after a brief practice driving the car around and attempting to vertical park many times at a random deserted Queenstown carpark, I got to drive to studio for prac (with the mom and brother in tow)! Too bad they had to take the car back to go eat dinner so I didn't get to keep it, but ah well not like I can parallel park at the studio. Not yet, anyway.

I've decided that driving an auto car is seriously too easy. I never realised how much brain space the clutch control takes up until I suddenly don't have a clutch to contend with anymore - then everything suddenly seems so...relaxed, so simple.

Meh, time to practice driving a little more often. Thankfully, I have a cooperative mom who seems quite willing to let me take the car out by myself once I get a little more seasoned!

vroom vroom

Guess who got her driving license today? :) :) :) :)

I'm now legally certified as safe on the roads, safe behind the wheel!

YAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY no need for anymore one-hour-long-per-way trips to BBDC! :D

crazy-unsexy-uncool

I only just recently realised that I really, really hate it when people talk to themselves.

It irritates the hell out of me, though to be truthful I'm sure I'm also guilty of it from time to time.

It makes me just want to reach over and smack the person-in-question fully right across the face and tell him/her to shut up.

Meh, I think a combination of fatigue + work + the freezing central air-conditioning is making me angsty. :(

oh how the rain falls

Just the perfect type of weather to sleep in for an entire day - but noooo, I have to be stuck at work. While the whole directionless, aimless and dissatisfied thing does not sit well with me, I quite unfortunately cannot deny its existence in my mind.

I guess it's just a matter of time and figuring things out huh.

Anyway, for those who want to read it, click <a href="http://www.eyeweekly.com/article/55882"target=_blank>here. Thanks to National Day! Yay!

Seriously, I don't think we actually properly appreciate public holidays until we come out to work for good. I mean, in school there's always the term breaks to look forward to, and when you're at the tertiary level it's even better because you don't quite have school everyday (subject to your timetable of course, and my timetable planning was awesome as always). But here at work...every holiday means so much.

Yes well, there may be leave and MCs but they aren't quite the same, are they?

Anyhow, too much chicken wings (at Po Hai's housewarming), too much popcorn (at the movies) and too much chips-guzzling (while watching stuff at the boyfriend's place) = a very sick kitty.

Now I have this terrible cough, too much phlegm for my own good and phantom stomach pains that come and go as they please. It's been a pretty uneventful first few days of work thus far, basically just coming into office for training and to learn the ropes, especially because my direct boss is on medical leave for a week (flu & high fever so everyone's paranoid). I actually think there's a bug of some sort passing around the office because now my whole section is sick and on MC except for me!

It's been quite a surprise to everyone and even to myself that I've suddenly just jumped into the workforce without any warning, since after all I probably am one of the most relaxed about job-hunting. In fact, I was quite prepared to take my time and slack off all the way to the end of the year before looking seriously for employment. In a way, I still can't quite believe that I've already started work and this is something that I'm going to be doing for a long, long time - if not, for the rest of my life. Of course, I don't quite necessarily mean this job per se. I meant...working.

We had a LKCSP pioneer batch gathering at Professor Pang's house on Saturday, which brought back (too) many memories about the last one we had there back in year 1. Oh, how things have changed...we were such babies then, all caught up with the excitement of university life and what it had in store for us, but look at us now. All of us have come a long way since, but the road ahead still remains long, stretching so far into the future with its convoluted twists and turns.

Who knows what another ten years will yield?

oh yeah, it's graduation time.

It's been a hectic last few days - grad night on Friday, our Commencement ceremony followed by the YMCA Groov-Y Salsa Night event that we were performing for on Saturday, and Ming's birthday brunch today @ Relish. Eeks.

Friday: Memoires - Grad Night 2009

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_I3_nHUtFeaw/Slp-oriUrtI/AAAAAAAABgs/4zv2mNZ6kqU/s400/IMG_3896.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5357733944057179858" />

It was like prom night all over again. I honestly was quite surprised to see everybody that dressed up - in gowns, full suits and all. On hindsight, I suppose that was quite expected since it was afterall held in the Fullerton ballroom. A great improvement in location compared to the RJC '04 prom, really! (It was held at - get this - the Suntec ballrooms. Sad right?) The night was filled with loads of phototaking and minimal eating...but the food was seriously pretty good.

My chosen dress for the night - something I bought so long ago I forgot all about it and hence never got to wear it. Finally, a chance to!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_I3_nHUtFeaw/Slp-o-n7DkI/AAAAAAAABg0/ONm7QiW2h98/s400/IMG_3904.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5357733949180939842" />

I went there thinking I would end up vaguely overdressed, but hey, I wasn't even close! SMU Commencement 2009 (translation: graduation) was held at Suntec City - 3 hours' worth of dreadfully boring ceremony thingamajigs to wade through just so that we could go up on stage for our 10 seconds of fame and glory and receive our certificates from the Deans. Very pointless really when I think about it, but I guess it's more for our parents than anything else, and besides, all the photowhoring and fun we had in the graduation gown after that made it all worth it. :P

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_I3_nHUtFeaw/SlqCkVTKLEI/AAAAAAAABhM/aSBq7UtiOHQ/s400/IMG_3971.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5357738267415030850" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_I3_nHUtFeaw/SlqCkBlOqUI/AAAAAAAABhE/SqMd8H1ecHQ/s400/IMG_3963.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5357738262122113346" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 325px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_I3_nHUtFeaw/SlqClEDGY3I/AAAAAAAABhc/mEovYS9S0Gc/s400/IMG_3961.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5357738279964140402" />

Crystal, Miche and I headed back to school for a brief photowhoring session (full of jumps and giggles) and it was superrrrrr fun and funny! They allocated three tables especially to the salsa people, and as to be expected, our three tables were the noisiest and craziest in the entire ballroom too.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_I3_nHUtFeaw/SlbR_Oi8fcI/AAAAAAAABf8/Uldk5Ugapu0/s400/IMG_3820.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356699690970414530" />

Zee and Alicia were the emcees for the night, English and Mandarin respectively. Alicia is a superb Chinese emcee - her voice has such calming tones in a late-night radio deejay way, she was really nice to listen to! Zee was, well, just being typical Zee on stage. :P

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_I3_nHUtFeaw/SlbUfyPCY8I/AAAAAAAABgc/0KITkmZfkZE/s400/IMG_3816.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356702449329660866" />

Random picture of a decorated fish head (courtesy of Mengwei and I) - Zee asked us to keep some food for him while he was on stage, and he specifically requested for the fish head, so...! We're how kind right. Hahaha.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_I3_nHUtFeaw/SlbUgCGRAsI/AAAAAAAABgk/aIcVTjSwqLo/s400/IMG_3833.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356702453587837634" />

I like this picture because we're how matching!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_I3_nHUtFeaw/SlbR-yLQfNI/AAAAAAAABf0/cp54PszQ1mU/s400/IMG_3809.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356699683354868946" />

Apparently blue was quite the popular color for the night - blue and black, to be exact. Quite ironic, because I opted not to wear black thinking every other person would be in black. Well, well, well, how wrong I was. I guess we salsa people like our vibrant colors more than most.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_I3_nHUtFeaw/SlbR-YGMjbI/AAAAAAAABfk/NEHG2QPnPDo/s400/IMG_3804.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356699676354317746" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_I3_nHUtFeaw/SlbUfGiGTEI/AAAAAAAABgM/9Rie-iMIBOc/s400/IMG_3838.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356702437598448706" />

Check out Gupson in his three-piece suit! Okay, well, the jacket isn't on in this picture but you get the idea. I actually thought I would be vaguely over-dressed, especially when I saw the rest of the crowd on the way up to the ballroom, but I suppose we can always count on the salsa crowd to dress up for important occasions. A good thing, really, because I think it's rude to not bother for wedding dinners - in fact, I have a good mind to deny entry or kick out anyone who tries to attend mine in jeans and t-shirt or something along those lines. Even a polo tee wouldn't cut it by my standards!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_I3_nHUtFeaw/SlbUfVO6cCI/AAAAAAAABgU/2m5Z52UChLQ/s400/IMG_3845.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356702441544511522" />

See how happy the groom is! I'm doing exotic for the very first time ever tomorrow also, so do come and support! :)

Click <a href="http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=90242915274"target=_blank>here for more event details.

See you there!

flea @ Timbre!

In conjunction with the Singapore River Festival, there's a week-long flea market held at Timbre to complement all the other happening events around the entire area!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 168px; height: 400px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_I3_nHUtFeaw/SkHMyxPjevI/AAAAAAAABfc/F2HEnQDCXiY/s400/Milestones+Poster+1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5350783004876962546" />

Miche, my sister and I will be taking a stall only for tomorrow because we shared the week's worth of slots with a helluva other girls from SMU. There will probably be quite a lot of vintage/eclectic/cool stuff to be found there since it's one of those flea markets with "personality", haha. Come down and support us if you guys are free! We don't know our stall number because they apparently don't assign numbers, but just give any of us a call when you're there.

LOVE YOU ALL. :) See you at the flea tomorrow!

<media:rating>nonadult</media:rating>
