I just want to paint. I just need to paint. Painting makes me happy. I know many of us feel this way. Painting never gets boring or old. There is always something else to learn, try and practice. Today I played with gouache on gessoed watercolor paper. I like how the gesso keeps the paint from soaking right in. Here are the photos I snapped yesterday on my walk. Another thing that also makes me happy. :)

A short amount of time for painting does wonders for the soul. They tasted pretty yummy too. A reminder to do more of what makes you happy. And with that I am off to take a walk on this beautifully sunny day and snap some pics of the flowers in bloom. Love.

I will always be a New Yorker through and through even if some day I no longer live here. Even though I don’t live in the city anymore it still holds a piece of my heart. Going to college and working there was a wonderful experience. Spending lots of time there with my now husband during that time was wonderful too. Picture 69068

There are bursts of yellow all of the place. Daffodils, forsythia and even dandelions. It is so nice to see the bright pop of color.

I woke up after having a vivid dream. Again. Basically the same dream. Same circumstances. Same feelings coming forward. I think those repetitive dreams are things we need to deal with in our waking state. Amazing how those things sneak up during sleep to get our attention. Found this on Dream Moods “The repetitive patterns in your dream reveal some of the most valuable information about yourself. It may point to a conflict, situation or matter in your waking life that remains unresolved or unsettled. the way they love to play together (mostly).
the big hugs and kisses they give to me and each other.
side note… just as I was typing this she screamed because he kissed her with lipstick on his lips.. LOL
the way they go from playing guitars, to office, to school.
the adorable suit he wore today and the pretty dress she wore (while playing going to work).
the way they helped me cook today.
how excited they both were to go fishing for the first time this year.
how they snuggle together every morning on the couch while they watch cartoons.
how she makes me sweet drawings and love notes.
how he tells me I look pretty.

I don’t want to forget a single bit of it.
