Today, we’re going to show you some photos from our own Debi Davis’ home to show you how she’s added color to the ivory color scheme she’s used throughout her home. The first few photos below are of some of the floral arrangements Debi has used to bring color into her home. The arrangements are from Natural Decorations, Inc. Debi says “NDI truly makes some of the most realistic flowers. And the best news for me is they do not die!”

Nature is also a great source of inspiration. Debi says “We can always resort to nature to create a great look in any area of the house.”

“Real exotic plants in soft colors are great in creating a romantic twist in a more formal living space.” – Debi Davis

You’ll notice in the photos below, that along with floral arrangements, Debi has added color to her home through other items, such as throw pillows, fabulous fabrics, and various other materials.

“This is the French sofa at my home with shades of pink used on the pillows and shades of deep pink and terra cotta in the art. There are so many ways just to use colors as an accent and not go overboard with a trend!” – Debi Davis

Here, Debi has used soft shades of cream and pink from Beacon Hill on the chairs.

Above all else, Debi’s personal philosophy revolves around timeless design. “I still stick to my philosophy that timeless style and irresistible charm found in wonderful pieces in your home will keep you content for many years!!!”

Let’s start with kitchen chairs. I’ve covered them in a lovely Laura Ashley toile, and then added Schumacher’s burlap checks on the backs. To keep the crème color scheme flowing throughout the house, I’ve purchased some fabulous brown and crème toile dishes, which can be used decoratively on the walls or just as dishes.

For the kitchen table, I’ve covered a wooden table in burlap I purchased at Hobby Lobby. Simply stunning!

Moving on to the lamps – The base is an antique carved wood, with custom check shades and trim from The Shade Above from here in Little Rock. I love custom lamp shades because they add such a wonderful finished look to a room!

The antique mirror above the chest is a piece from Debi Davis Interior Design. It helps continues our styles as we move to the new hearth room.

And finally, here is a reproduction of an antique freeze. The oval area in the center is a great place to place your initials or a word in Italics. “Faith,” “Happy,” and “My Kitchen” are examples of words we have done for clients in the past.
