I am still boggling my mind here. What is that thing? I know not whether it’s a living plant or an animal. I know not if it’s some other kind of creature that’s not from the planet Earth.

So just what is that thing? Since I ain’t pretty sure myself, here’s a look at that ‘thing’…..

So can anyone out there with knowledge of flaura and fauna try to help me with this. What I can say is it is a weird and queer looking thing. Looks alien to me.

So while waiting, there is bread and Pepsi to quench the thirst and some light snacks to eat. Well, it was a hungry time, so when you’re waiting for the main dish to appear and you have time to spare, what else can someone with a camera do. Take pictures, what else….

Waiting for the food makes me obnoxious, makes me too hungry to do a decent pose, but wait till you see someone else doing something weirder instead just because food wasn’t around. Lo and behold…..

Well, conclusion, bring in the food before you get more weird and weirder pose. So no food is equivalent to weirder funny expressions. Finally the pizza has arrived and no more weird photos were taken. Luckily one pizza was saved to show the final result.

With this, fully satisfied and not trying to be weird at all, Danielctw has finally gained the enough nourishment he needs for the day to start on another new quest.

Okay, before you go kill me off for saying some bullshit crap or something like that, hear my views and understand them. After talking to those age group, of 20 to 24, most of them prefer guys that look mature. Here’s the reason why? Guys, this is one proper explanation which sometimes baffle the majority of you guys out there. Guys should look mature, so that people wouldn’t think the girl is older than them and thus it gives them like he’s the man kind of feeling.

Still don’t understand then you can actually see for yourself. Now let’s get back to another view, but wait…. what if when the male counterpart has gone past the age of 30 and the female counterpart is approaching 30s along with their other friends with their male companions. Now this is where the difference is. The guy who was deemed younger those days now even looks 20 plus for their age and while those who look mature and older during the younger days somehow looks so old. By that time, you’ll think one is the father with a young maiden.

Though some may argue, it’s good for the wife or gf of older looking guys, because like this the man doesn’t have that usual anymore youthful sexual attraction. In a way it’s a double edged sword. This doesn’t apply for those that has the money. Well, like some people said, “You ain’t old when you’re 40 with cash”

See my point? So is it a blessing to look younger or older? So if you were to compare yourself with the rest out there, do you think you’re older looking or younger looking or you look your age that type. I guessed for me, the answer is obvious. If you know my age, you would know that which class I am in. Just so that I don’t boggle your mind again, here’s a simple shot.

So it’s a gift or a curse? That’s for you people to say….

Seriously, I think the public has had enough of the riff raffs going on in the country. I am thankful though that finally the showdown is stopping slowly with this debate that was aired live on TV with Shabery and Anwar on both ends. Well, at least it paves the way for the government to stop bickering and start working for the people.

It’s been like 5 or 6 months after the election and can we finally say, “Let’s get over it and start doing something for the people!”

It feels kind of weird that after we had the blog fighting saga of Dawn Yang and Xia Xue. (Though this doesn’t involved the public in Malaysia but then……. I am sure most of you read blogs online)

Well, but for the public in Malaysia it was the Najib vs Anwar case…..

Now that with the opposition party stressing out that they’ll change the government with cheaper oil rates, Shabery steps in to debate with Anwar on why is the oil price rate the price that it is.

So Information Minister Datuk Ahmad Shabery Cheek faced off with PKR de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for the fuel price issue.

Anwar repeated his pledge that if Pakatan Rakyat were to take over the Government, the price of fuel would be reduced the next day.

He said it was irresponsible to compare the rise in the fuel and diesel prices in countries such as India and China unlike Malaysia which produces oil.

Final Verdict : It appears on Malaysian TV that Ahmad Shabery has won the debate, but it was close so to say. Let’s see how’s the public response to it.

One of the biggest reptile on earth, the crocodile. Amazing creatures they are, crikey.. Now I am starting to miss Steve Irwin and his crocodilic adventures.

This handsome hard scaly creature was a good pose alright. With it’s gaping mouth and excellent posture bathing under the sun, I must say it’s big enough to put my whole head into it. I should have gone for their feeding session, giving chickens. Very dramatic if you were to watched it. Oh, forgot to tell ya, they feed chickens to the pythons too.

There are many many reptiles and amphibians around, just that I decided to show a few. Well, there’s always flickr around right. (Just that I rarely update the photos there too)

Presenting the slow moving creatures, the tortoise. Kura-kura in the National Language.

Well, I can tell you, they’re one of the easiest to take photoshots of. Why? Cause they’re slow and hardly move. So because of this factor, I am presenting another close friend of this tortoise guy.

Box Tortoise.. hmm, this guy was hiding below the trees and I just had to time it right with all my settings to get this shot. Fired 4 to 5 shots just to get one proper lighting. Well, blame it all on amateur me. Well, I love good shots and have since changed to take proper shots instead of fun shots ever since.

Well, my dream of getting the D300, SB-800 is another mile away. But it’ll come.

That aside, let’s look at what Zoo Negara Malaysia has installed for the visitors. The multi animal show. Though, they have more animals performing on weekends. Animals can also be tired, that’s why they need to rest sometimes. So on weekends there are more animals to watch.

Trainer : “I say lift up”

Parrot/Macaw : “Squawk”

Trainer : “Up Up Up, like how i zip my fly”

Parrot : “Squawk Arkkkkk”

Okay over-exaggeration once again. Pretty smart those birds, what about our next presenter.

Come shake shake hand with the new presenter. The amazing seal/sea lion. With their flippers, they are extraordinary swimmers. Though dugung also have flippers but slow. Haha, let’s see what this sea lion can do.

Up up and away jump thru the hoop. Whoopee.. Excellent trainers and seal. Impressive? If you’re saying it’s not impressive later, the sea lion is going to roar at you for doing so.

So clap your hands all your visitors. What I’ve experienced years ago when I was in the zoo, that there were eagle shows too during the show. If I remembered correctly, there used to be a dolphin show but I think they stopped it after learning how high maintenance it is for a dolphin.

But I wonder what a dugong show would be. Just stay there and eat seaweed. Hehehe….. (inside joke)

Oh yeah, before I end this post, here’s one more little creature that I have to present.

Taken using HI1 ISO. Well, have to or else it’ll turn out weird. What is this, just mouse over it, and you’ll find out.

There are actually more creatures to witness, example the snakes and others. But I understand that some readers are afraid of snakes, so this is where those lovely serpents go into my flickr postings. Yes, just need to wait though. Snakes are indeed special and mysterious.

Guessed I said enough, maybe another trip to the zoo for the aquarium next time. So here I am signing off with a kick. WAA TAAAHHHH~~~~~

Aside from the bull or the cow or the buffalo or whatever you want to call it, So what do you call a male elephant?

A bull right :P, so let’s say hello to the elephant. Well, this time a decent close up on the elephant. Please mind the biggieness in this photo.

Is this a male or a female. Aside from using the sexual organs to differentiate the gender of the elephant, what else can you think of to differentiate them? Think Think Think… I am sure some of you learnt it way back during primary school.

Oh yeah, talking about elephants, I have one shot of it with an elephant. Don’t believe me, I even stand beside it. Cool right…

I ain’t kidding you, Daniel standing with the elephant is like once in a lifetime. Never seen before. Okay….

There, that’s me with the Elephant, right. I didn’t say it was a living one. Ho ho ho… bashed me up later in my comments if you want to.

But aside from just the Elephant, what I love the most in the Zoo is animals that I don’t get to see in this particular area here. The lions.. but too bad the lions are tired and dormant int the afternoon that they’re hiding at the back. So the only lion I could take was this, a lion statue.

ROARS~~~ lol, look at the BOKEH.. well, not something a kitlens can do though. But then that’s all it takes… a majestic mane to go with the male lion. Oh speaking of that, still trying to figure out how to differentiate the male elephant?

Well, rodents are way cool in the zoo, they’re everywhere, but I love the porcupine. Well, though, there isn’t any way you gonna have a chance to see a skunk close range though, so might as well settle with the prickly Porcupine and Baby Porcupine.

At one time it raised up it’s thorns like it’s gonna shoot right to me, maybe due to the baby being there. Protective parents I supposed. Well, if they get intimidated, that’s bound to happen.

Anyway remembered the previous photo with the Elephant. Haha.. well, here’s the photo now with the hippopotamus. Yes, ain’t gonna keep you people in suspense (fake) so there you have it…

Oh, I can’t smile in photos. I can’t seem to smile naturally on cameras unlike someone who can smile so naturally in this blog post. Well, so instead of smiling, why not just a cool pose then. LOL…

Well, if you can’t do one thing, just improvise. That’s how I can pose. LOL…

We’re coming to the end of this post. So of course I would want to present one of my favorite mammal photo of this post. None other than the TIGER.

Yes, the TIGER that is kind of common in South East Asia.

Look at the Tiger swimming in the water and cooling off. Much as they say that cats are afraid of water, the tiger loves to cool down and swim in the water. They’re excellent swimmers too. Look at it, he’s totally enjoying the coolness, the eyes are closed.

So there you have it, the tiger for the finale.

It somehow symbolizes me akin to Mr Bean from The Mr Bean show.

Hmmm.. well, though this isn’t the craving I am talking about. Somehow it links doesn’t it. I used to love eating anything sweet and what more can one have like Jelly Beans. Haha.. sorry Mr Bean for putting you out of the limelight.

Jelly beans are definitely different from my normal candies that I eat when I felt like it. Oh yeah, speaking of jelly beans, I remember someone likes to eat those for lunch and dinner. *shocked*

These days I buy lots of my stuffs online, with the first going to my camera remote and also some ebooks on Programming, CSS. Well, though I must really try to buy food online. LOL..

I personally like weird weird color types like the blue jelly beans. Though somehow it looks a lot like the blue pill Viagra. Huh?? You didn’t know Viagra was blue? Hahaha.. there’s always the Internet. Oh I always though Jelly beans weren’t that big, but now there are bigger jellybeans. As BIG as a MARBLE.

Though I must say the Zoo is really a nice place to go if you haven’t been to one for a very very long time. Relive those childhood memories. Also for photo enthusiasts, remember to bring along your telephoto lenses for your trip to the zoo, you’ll definitely need it. If you’re a Nikonian like me, get yourself a VR lens to avoid excessive blur on your photos.

Going to zoo reminds me when I was 8 or 9 years old, I get to go there for free during National Children Day. Those days, I see lots of animals that I always get to see on television. Well, considering though, I wouldn’t mind going to the zoo once again and this time make sure I get my butt there early to avoid the zoo going to close.

Oh if you’re thinking of going to the zoo, sometimes it’s wise to to go during the weekends. There is the night safari there, I didn’t get to stay for the night safari though as I went on a weekday.

Pink Flamingos

You must be wondering is there a pattern in my photo posting. Well, there is, it’s all birds for now. Well, birds make excellent photo shooting due to their vibrant and bright colors. So it suits the first brief introduction of the National Zoo or we call it Zoo Negara here.

The above looks like a parakeet, they are called Fisher’s Lovebird or known for their name in our native language as Nuri Chinta. Well, of course, they’re kept in a giant enclosure cage, but how did the photo turned out fine, that’s where focusing is needed and I had to manual focus on some of the shots.

Don’t play play with this guy. This bird of prey (hawk or eagle) was flying on the outside. Looking for food and it caught a mice. I was lucky to have seen it and it perched on top the tree. With it’s head against the sun, it’s a very good posture for me to have a shot of it. Now who says all animals are kept in an enclosure.

If Looks Could Kill, I think this Emu Could. Capturing an emu this close without using any post cropping factor, is really breathtaking. Getting a frontal view is another awesome sight too. Though, never try to get too close to one, they’ll bite you.

You never knew though, in this hot and humid country, on the borderline of the Equator line, there exist the penguins. Yes, sad to say I used to see about 20 of them the last time I was here. Now there’s like only 2 or 3 of them. This particular penguin is so cute, he even came so close to us. Well, with the conditions they needed, the National Zoo is having a hard time paying for their expenses. I even wanted to volunteer myself during the weekends to help in the zoo.

Now you have it. I have tons of other shots of birds, but then it would be wise to instead put into My Flickr instead.

Elephants getting their round of sugarcanes. Well, just spare a buck or two for them, and donate to the zoo to be able to feed them and get yourself a priceless shot. So don’t just think that the Zoo is just place for kiddies. It’s a nice place to be with, if you love nature, you’ll definitely love it. Well, I am thinking what should I be showcasing next. Reptiles (snakes, frogs, etc) or maybe to something mild.

I still remember the first few days when I was studying in the college and the day of graduation came. Syioknessss….. It was the time I can finally stop studying and get on to the real business.

Many years have passed since then, and by the time you know it, where are your fellow friends during those days in college. Especially in a big town like KL, you’ll have friends from all over the city. From north, south, west and east. With the timetable all being so tied up, most of them aren’t that free, same goes to me too.

You know, it’s easier to stay in touch with your friends of your school, college, university when you’re living close or rather in the same housing estate. Well, though I also had a problem doing that with those in my class during my secondary school years. LOL… I used to be in the science stream but then I hardly mix around during that age.

Some people say,
“Friends come and go”
but how about
“Friends that come and are around when you needed them”

Anyway that’s another topic. I tend to go off topic at times.

Seeing that once someone graduates, it’s fun. Well, until the time they started working. They’ll dread their life to be able to go back to studies once again. Why, there’s no office politics, no crazy idiotic bosses telling you that you’ve haven’t finished what they’ve instructed you to do (though actually you know nothing about) and worse come to worst, you’re being put into a danger zone by all your colleagues and managers.

So have I done enough to scare the graduates. LOL… Well, that’s life I supposed. But it’s funny though, why the heck in Malaysia, is there still many jobless graduates. Well, something is wrong here, though I wouldn’t want to point fingers. It could be the education or rather the people and soft skills of the graduates.

Damn the ruthless and lousiness.
