We (AOL Music) recently redesigned The Interface video show. The Interface has existed for a few years as a series of blog posts with an accompanying podcast. Over the years, we’ve had amazing artists such as Spoon, The Raconteurs, Bloc Party and of Montreal come into our studio and perform. Usually we book these artists before anyone has heard of them. It is an amazing place to find new music. We just had Phoenix in and they played an awesome set. You can check out the entire episode here. You can see more episodes (including Sigur Ros, Grizzly Bear and Neko Case) here. We are working on adding all the past episodes to the site. You can still get them from the podcast.

Phantom of the Opera

Yesterday was mine and Isabel’s 2nd anniversary. We went to go see Phantom of the Opera. We both had never seen it before. We liked it a lot. Growing up in NY, I have seen probably 30 Broadway shows. I probably have liked 8 of them. Les Miserables is my favorite and I have always heard that Phantom’s music is just as good. While I can’t agree with that at this point, I can say that I did love the music.

Before the show we went to Palm for dinner. We had never been there despite it being next door. It was very good. We split oysters, Isabel had the Chilean Sea Bass and I had the strip streak. All delicious!

Twin Of Myself by Black Moth Super Rainbow. This group has shot up the charts (my charts!) the last few weeks. The album is very even - when each song starts, I get excited. I am planning on seeing them at the South Street Seaport in July.
