Wow, this seems like a long time ago. I met <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josh_Hamilton_(baseball)">Josh Hamilton</a> prior to the Futures Game at Turner Field in Atlanta, during the build-up to the Major League Baseball All-Star Game in 2000. This was less than one year before Hamilton started his <a href="http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2926447">downward spiral</a>, before the injuries, the tattoos and the drug addiction. And it was long before his <a href="http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/notebook?page=bbtn/080713">remarkable comeback</a> and his <a href="http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/allstar08/columns/story?columnist=stark_jayson&id=3487832">jaw-dropping performance</a> in the Home Run Derby at Yankee Stadium last night (<a href="http://sports.espn.go.com/broadband/video/videopage?videoId=3487718&categoryId=2378529">video highlights</a>).
