2025-11-17T23:13:51.382-08:00

After a while. This is my 3rd coffee of the the month taken in tawau.

Arrived from 2hrs drive from Lahad Datu, bit sleepy. Then when finding this small shop a lane between HSBC and Rhb.

They open frm 9.30am till 6.pm.

Surve varieties of bread, pastry and mini cakes. Just nice if you looking for small portion of beautiful sweet bites. With a kiss of coffee.

Every year the Idahan tribes will take turn accorddinly to the leaders of seclected and the harvesting of the Swallow Bird Nest will be collected twice or three times a year. it was facinating for me, to see how the method of collecting the bird nest are such dangerouse work done by the climber and bird nest collector.

13th October 2019

Silam Environment Awareness Educational Program.

This would be our second trip.

After overwhelming requests from our last trip in September, and more requests for another trip.

This time event focusing on Beach Clean Up at Pulau Burung and coral identification.

This Educational Trips open for those who really wanted to participate in volunteering and learning.

We try to introduces the importance of Corals and the environment, to people specially for the 1st time gong into the water the open sea.

The main purpose to give a great impact to our group so that they're aware how beautiful the underwater without pollutions. And encourage the locals to be participating in this Awareness Program.

Start with a small group is the best way to introduce how Fun and enjoyable giving back to the environment. LEARNING identification Corals, identifying Fish and Cleaning up beaches.

Lahad Datu such a small town and not everyone are understand the value of locals treasure as the Corals and the Sea.

Some mentality of the locals limits at their eyes. When you mention nature beauty their thinking are for the white sand beach for Photoshoot - and the big reason it's too HOT! :) they are willing to pay for this kind of trips and not doing Environment Awareness as Beach Clean-up etc.

Out trips bit costly because we're helping the local community and small businesses operator to earn a living.

We're paying the Fishermen for their boat service and the local tourism industry Dive operators as our professional guide and instructor. Which very useful for our group safety and learning about the Dive site and the best place for Corals. And for those joining our group myself as a Diver and Project Awareness specialty will give some speech and certificate for every beach cleanup participate.

we gather at the Mamak stall to have light breakfast and getting know each other
