I am probably the only blogger that intends to make money online that hasn’t written their first post for 2012 yet… I am looking into new things for this year and I intend to listen more to the people out there that are making their living online and have finally decided that it is time to bite the bullet and pay for some mentoring…

I’m not doing the one on one stuff but have signed on with a couple of people that I respect and in some cases I have actually paid for their courses. One in particular that I would like to mention here is Chris Guthrie and his Niche Profits Course. Chris is a real stand up kind of guy and so far I haven’t been able to find anyone with anything bad to say about him. He also gives his customers ongoing support and free upgrades when ever they become available, so you won’t have to pay extra, next time this course is updated. If you want to know how to make a living selling Amazon Products online as an affiliate, then you really should invest in this course, Chris walks you through everything he does, step by step, in his business.

You will notice too that the carousel for Amazon, has been moved to the bottom of the page and the centre strip is now Chitika ads. I will be using these at or slightly above the fold in all of my sites from here on in. Something that I have been looking at as well is a relatively new networking idea that involves a well known penny auction site and I have signed on as an affiliate and you can find out more here.

On a personal note, I am about to embark on a journey that I have looked forward to for many years. I have always enjoyed martial arts and have wanted to study Taiji for some time now. Starting next week, that dream becomes a reality, when I sign on at the Willow Tree School Of Tai Chi and Chi Kung

I Am Where I Am, And That’s OK!

So here we are a full week of November gone and it just seems like yesterday that we were getting over Christmas.

I have started using Articles Base to submit articles to… I’ll let you know how that goes. I have submitted one for the Digital Camera Review Site and also one for the Heavy Duty sewing Machine Site, as traffic seems to have slowed a bit lately. I haven’t done much with the Science Of Getting Rich site but I’ve been relatively busy on the Digital Camera site and it now has 12 pages live, but it’s still a long way from finished.

I have started looking into the affiliate side of marketing a lot more lately. As you know I already follow Dan Brock’s Amazon Affiliate stuff, but I’ve been reading some stuff from guys like Sean Rasmussen and Stuart Ross from the Six Figure Mentors. Some of their stuff I have implemented right away as it fits with what I am doing already. The other stuff they teach, I will implement as I learn what it’s all about.

Today I am trying to study traffic generation but most people will tell you all the same stuff, you know, Facebook Twitter etc. but they don’t get into the nitty gritty of the how. I have decided in order to bring more traffic to this site I should re-open the comments part of the page. I guess a weekly clean up of the spam that gets through my filter isn’t too much of a price to pay. I also signed up for an account with Chitika, so it will be good to see what kind of income I can get from that.

Today is pretty much an update of where I am and what I’m doing, which of course brings me to my now famous sign off,

Alrighty then, lets get down to business. I feel like I’m doing everything right but getting no where. I’m not angry or depressed about that but I am frustrated by it. Time to step back and take a look at what I’m doing…

Aah there it is! I am doing all this mindless meaningless stuff, and getting none of the important stuff done. I have had an epiphany! You hear all the time about people who tried this but it didn’t work and they tried that but it didn’t work either…

You see something that could be the answer you are looking for, but when you talk to friends and family, you get told , “Hey if it was THAT easy everyone would do it!” The thing we need to realise is this, They Wouldn’t! It doesn’t matter how easy something is, if there is the slightest bit of effort needed, people wouldn’t do it. They won’t do it. Aside from a few of us, on this planet that are prepared to take a chance in order to get on in life, most people can’t be bothered to make the effort they need to get out of their own way. The excuses they make are almost amusing. Almost, but not quite. In fact I think that they are slightly more sad than amusing. Sad because it shows that these people have pretty much given up on themselves and the chance of a better life. Some will tell you that money is not important to them in one breath and then wish they had more or a better life in the next. It’s the wishing that shows the lie in the statement!

Some of us are prepared to do the extra, but still end up doing more than what is necessary. Unfortunately, it is the unnecessary extra that stops you getting what you want. If you have purchased a system from someone and they tell you that this is how they got to be successful, don’t try to reinvent the wheel. Follow their system, and don’t add your own stuff to it. Remember that systems don’t fail, people fail…

Occasionally I will look at a system for online success, and if it resonates with me, I’ll share it here. As a member of the Warrior Forum I have seen a bit of what Shannon Herod has to say and offer. He seems to be a straight up kind of guy and I’ve been on his mailing list for sometime now. Ok so what have I been up to? Well, it’s been a month and a bit since my last post… I have finished my Gaming Consoles Website but as yet I still haven’t managed to market it in any way. My current work in progress is a Digital SLR Camera Review Site that basically markets Digital SLR Cameras from Amazon.com and offers a choice of Canon, Nikon, Sony and Minolta cameras and lenses.

As I said previously, I have also signed up for Shannon Herod’s Inner Circle Program. My main focus is to earn a minimum of $15,000.00 per month from home in just a couple of hours per day. I have informed my boss that the first time I hit $15,000.00 in a month, I will be letting him know that it won’t be long before I’m gone… The first time I make $15000.00 per month for 2 months in a row, I’ll be buying drinks for everyone at work, at the bar across the road, and the first time I hit $15,000.00 three months running, I’ll be handing in my notice. I might just chuck him a big red crayon, and when he asks me what it is for, I’ll tell him, “You can colour me gone!”

As I continue on in the progressive realisation that is my own success, I leave you with this;

On the weekend of August 27 and 28 I went to a Cashflow seminar. A Think And Grow Rich® Cashflow Conference to be exact. I spent two very long and very full days listening to people talk about their money making ventures. Stuart Zadel seems like a straight up kind of guy and I was extremely interested in what he had to say. One of the joys of attending each and every session was that each time you re-entered the room, you were given a copy of a book, each one different from the last, and predominantly based around Stuarts’ understanding of the book by Napoleon Hill, Think And Grow Rich.

One of the books was a hard copy reprint of a book by Dr. Russell H. Conwell called Acres Of Diamonds. I have had a copy of this in an ebook for a number of years and I have read it once or twice, but never fully grasped the message within. Basically what the book tells us is to look closer to home in search of whatever it is we are searching for. In most cases it is right under our noses.

So here I am at a Cashflow Conference, away from my home for 2 days. I saw some programs that really got me excited, but I didn’t invest. I wasn’t really sure why I didn’t go ahead and sign on for the ones that interested me most, but on the way home on the Sunday night, I was contemplating the lessons from the weekend and I realised that my acre of diamonds is right here at my finger tips. What drove that point home to me is what I discovered when I did my end of month tally on my Adsense and my Amazon affiliate totals.

I have been doing my Adsense sites for over a year now, and my Amazon Affiliate sites for about 6 months. I have around 10 or 11 Adsense sites and only 1 active Amazon site, hopefully 2 after today, the Gaming Console Review site is live, and I have been a little distracted so the Amazon stuff hasn’t received the attention it should. Anyhoo, long and short of it is, I have made almost half of my Adsense income from twelve months or more, from my Amazon stuff in just 6 months off one or 2 sites and bugger all marketing. For what ever reason, I couldn’t get any of my articles at EzineArticles approved for any of my Amazon things after my Heavy Duty Sewing Machines articles, so that is really the only site that has been promoted.

So the answer I have been looking for is staring me in the face, knuckle down with what I’ve already got and ignore the bright shiny objects. I can get rich from this stuff and my dream of working from home for just a few hours a week and making an extremely good living from it is becoming a reality. Along the way, if I can help others do it too, then that will make it all worthwhile. Success, according to Bob Proctor, is the progressive realisation of a worthy ideal. That is the journey I am now on. Stand by for more exciting news…

Ok, so as you know from my last post, I have been updating my html sites and turning them into wordpress sites. I am so happy with how they are turning out, and so far I have completed 4 out of about 9 or 10. As well as that I have been toying with the idea of revamping my Amazon sites and instead of blog posts, make each post it’s own page. I have the feeling it will be less messy for people searching for some of the things I am promoting.

Speaking of things promoted, I seem to be having a lot of success with my Sewing Machine Site and in particular the Singer 4423 machine. So last week I made a Squidoo Lens to promote it and today I have completed a new Hub Page, so it will be interesting to see how much traffic can be generated with these two sites. One of the things I am trying is using the actual hyperlink to promote http://www.heavydutysewingmachinesreview.com/singer-4423-heavy-duty-sewing-machine-most-impressive/ the actual page but what you see is just http://www.HeavyDutySewingMachinesReview.com/. This way I get backlinks to the site and the specific page as well.

My issues with transport are over, I bought Mum and Dads’ old car from them and got it cleaned up and registered. I cannot describe the stress I went through without a car, and I wouldn’t have believed it could have affected me so adversely. Unbelievable!

Next weekend I am attending the Think And Grow Rich® Cashflow Conference which is going to be the very last time it is to be held in Melbourne. I intend to take enough notes to give me writers cramp and I am really looking forward to catching up with Sean Rasmussen again.

Well, to tell you the truth I have no idea what this post will be about…
As you know I purchased Dan Brock’s Dead Beat Millionaire System and I was all set to jump in with both feet. Only problem is I smashed my car up and the stress of getting to and from work has been over whelming. To the point that I can’t think straight when it comes to putting Dan’s stuff into action, or anything online.

I can tell you I have started to rebuild all of my other sites in WordPress, beginning with the Garden Lighting Advice Site. I can tell you that the wordpress format is a hundred times better than what I had when it was all HTML. The site is cleaner and just looks a whole lot more professional

It took me about 2 days to do it, mostly because I wasn’t sure how it would turn out, so the next one will be my Buy A Used Car site. It’s bigger, but I know what I’m doing so it shouldn’t take as long, and in between times I will look at Amazon to find my next project…

Don’t Wish Things Were Easier, Wish You Were Better!

Waking up this morning a good 3 hours earlier than normal, and feeling a little worse for wear, I got up and did what I had to to make myself feel better. Then I went back to bed right? Wrong! I figured seeing as I was up, I should use the opportunity to create pages for a site that I’ve had for a while but done nothing with. Last week I spent $39 and bought Dan Brock’sThe Deadbeat Millionaire System Like I said the last time I mentioned this system, I went to leave the page without buying, and got the whole thing for just $39 instead of paying $49 and on top of that I bought it from my own clickbank link. Hehe savings all round

Consequently, my Sewing And Embroidery Machines Site was born. Just before bed last night I did my first post for my new Gaming Consoles Site and submitted an article to EZA. This morning after building the first page of the Sewing And Embroidery Machines Site I wrote and submitted an article for that. Not bad, eh? Two sites in two days, you have to love the simplicity of WordPress!

I have come to the conclusion that I must create at least two web pages per week and submit articles to match them as well. If I get more done each week, it’s a good thing but I must not do less… I have never fully appreciated the meaning behind the quote above from Mr. Rohn, until this last week and a bit at work in my full time J-O-B. As well as being educational and teaching me that any limits I have are purely self imposed, this past week and a bit at work has impressed upon me the urgency to get my online stuff to the point that I don’t need to work for a boss.

Part of what I am doing now that is more aligned with what I want to be doing is the self help type articles and posts that you may have seen pop up over the last few weeks. I have 2 on here now and there will be more, but the more important ones that I write will be over at my newest site which is to be based around the book by Wallace D. Wattles called The Science Of Getting Rich. my new site will be set up to teach people how to use that book as a training manual, basically How To Apply The Science

In the beginning the site will be set up as a free site, where I can impart ideas that arise when people read The Science Of Getting Rich with intent. I feel I am moderately qualified because of the changes in my life that came to pass when I started using the principles and methods set forth in the book. Total life and personality change! Eventually though I will turn it into a paid membership site, then I can give personal attention to those that want it…

The biggest question for anyone looking to change their life around is, “How?”
How do I learn to love others? How do I use the Law Of Attraction? How do I convince those around me that the new path I’m on is a better one, and get them to accept me as I want to be?
How do I get my spouse to join me on this journey?

It is my intent that this article will answer those questions and more besides. The first thing to realise is that any change, no matter how big or small happens from within. To learn to love others, you have to learn to love yourself.

Negative voice says, “Oh but there is nothing loveable about me!” I am sure that there is someone in your life right now, that thinks there is something loveable about you. If not then how about someone who did once? If you can answer yes to either of these suppositions then my job here just got easy. If not, then we may be here for a while, but don’t give up hope.

If you answered yes, to either of those statements, then it stands to reason that you can answer Negative voice for your self. What ever it is that the person who loves you or loved you sees or saw in you is good enough for you to use as your starting point. It doesn’t have to be much. It could be something as simple as a twisted sense of humour or you remembered their birthday. Every little bit counts.

If you answered no then it’s up to you to find it. Look deep, are you good with kids or animals? Do you have a slightly warped sense of humour? What is it you like about someone you know? If you can see it in others, then it MUST exist in you. Once you see that thing, you now have a starting point…

The beauty of having a starting point is that it means that the process has begun! If you need to look out to look in, then identify that other thing in someone that you love or respect… It must be in you too, or else you could not see it! Once identified, work on bringing those aspects of yourself to the fore.

As you bring them to the fore, love that about yourself. Now build on it, as each new aspect that you love is identified, and expanded, they bring your attention to another aspect, work on growing that with love. Once you love yourself, it is only natural that you can now learn to love others. As you learn to love others, it is then only natural that others will love you too.

As more and more people are attracted to you, I guarantee, you won’t ask, “How?” any more… Once you get to this point, you will start to wonder about the Law Of Attraction. Many people question it or laugh at the idea, but in it’s simplest form, the Law Of Attraction is simply what happens to you as you go about your daily business. If you face life with a positive attitude, positive things happen… If you face life with a horrid attitude, then horrid things will happen. The easiest way to use the Law Of Attraction effectively is to be grateful. Be grateful for what you have, but set your mind on what you want. Be aware too, of any conditions you place on yourself whilst looking to what you want too. Back in 2000 I wanted a “new” car. I got it into my head that I wanted a particular brand of car, and when ever I saw one I would look at it and tell myself it was mine, but then I would put the condition on it that the only way I could afford one was to buy second hand. Guess What? I got the type of car I wanted, but it was 4 years old and very second hand… The good news for me was, I loved that car and I still get a kick out of driving it today. I have just started looking for a “new”car. This time it will be brand spanking shiny new! I won’t accept anything less!

How do I get grateful? I have a shitty job, I rent a crappy house, my wife and I are ready to kill each other, life sucks! What can I be grateful about? If you’re asking the questions, then you have to know, there must be answers! The answers could something as simple as being grateful for another day, so you get the chance to make this Law Of Attraction stuff work. Be grateful for the friends you have, or the time you get to yourself to think this stuff through… The fact is, the more grateful we are for what we have, the more we get to be grateful for. If you are in a situation where there is absolutely nothing to be grateful for… Be grateful for what you are focussing on. Look to what you want and be grateful that it is yours, even if you don’t believe it yet, pretend that you do and act as if it is already.

Once you are on this path in a solid and focussed manor, the next thing you will want to do is share your new found blessings and attitude with those that are closest to you. The hard part is, the only people that want to listen to this stuff are those who understand the value of it all. Which means, most of your friends won’t want to hear it, but that’s ok. It’s ok because you will attract a new set of friends into your life, and they will either know it already or they will want you to share your stories with them. The old friends will still be there, but you will find that the level of contact that you have with them will slowly but surely diminish, unless they too decide to come on this journey of enlightenment with you. You will most likely want to push this new found freedom upon those old friends, but until their hearts and minds are ready, it would be wasted effort on your part and may even aggravate or annoy them so much that they will turn away from you.

When I started this journey, I believed that my wife would be like the people I mentioned in the last paragraph. I went to my mentor and asked him what I should do, after all I don’t want to be hanging around with negative people, that can’t be good for my positive attitude, right? What he told me has come back to me so many times since… “Be patient!” That was his answer. It took me a long time to realise the wisdom of this instruction, he didn’t want me to split with my wife… What if it turned out wrong? Would I blame him and do or say something silly or hurtful? He didn’t want for me to be in the position where I could point a finger and say, “I blame this on you!” He wanted me to take this journey of self discovery and enlightenment, and a massive part of that is to learn to make decisions for the right reasons and in the right time frame. I was patient, and to paraphrase what Ghandi said, “I became the change that I wanted to see in my wife” Slowly but surely, she began to change too and so it will be with you. Be patient, be true to your course and all of the destinations you have set as part of this journey will come to you when the time is right. To paraphrase Wallace D. Wattles, begin where you are right now, and as you think in the certain way and do things in the certain way, you can’t help but to progress and see the changes and successes that are the direct result of that thinking and doing.

As of today, I am adding a new category of posts to this blog. Along side the posts that tell how and what I do to make a dollar online, there will now be posts dedicated to something far more important. I believe by putting these posts here for all to see, that I can make a difference, a powerful difference in peoples lives. This first post is an article I wrote that has been published in the International Best Seller by Ronny K. Prasad, Welcome To Your Life, Simple Insights For Your Inspiration And Empowerment. I have known Ron for a few years now, and my only regret is that I don’t get to spend more time with him. With my internet marketing type posts I always link them back to my Facebook page What’s New?, but with these Self Improvement posts, I will link back to my brand new Facebook page, The Applied Science Of Getting Rich! So without further ado, here is my article entitled The 3 Most Important Things

I believe that the three most powerful and important forces in the entire universe are, in order:

1. Love
2. Respect
3. Honesty

Love can move mountains. it is the basis for the law of attraction. Whatever that means to you. Without love, life takes on a negative vibe. That will attract more negativity and as you surround yourself in negativity, you will actually distance yourself from that certain substance that is pure positive energy of which all things are made. In the old Kung Fu movies from the 70s and 80s, the Shaolin monks would talk of, “Becoming one with the Universe…” This oneness can only be achieved with love.

The hard part is, before we can truly love another, we must learn to love ourselves. We must learn to do this in every way and love everything about our self. Everything that you see as a fault, check to see if it is something you can change, like an attitude toward certain others or a feeling you get. If it is changeable, then loving yourself because of that fault will eventually cause change. If the fault is something that cannot be changed, then you must realise that somewhere there is someone who will find that thing interesting or maybe even attractive about you. Love must come from within, and if you don’t have it for yourself, then how can you give it to anyone else?

Respect, is the thing we show others when we have it for ourselves. It is a by product of love and can only be found in people that love themselves as well as everyone else, unconditionally. Many people say that they want to be respected by others, from the very first time they meet. Then in the next breathe they will say, “If you want my respect, you have to earn it!” If this is you, I have only one question: What makes you so special? Respect is something you must give no matter what, from the very beginning. Now, once it is given, it is up to the other person to do what is necessary to keep that respect and it is up to you to do what is necessary to keep theirs.

Honesty, is the thing that ties it all together. We meet, we talk, I show you respect and you show me respect it’s all good. Then we go our separate ways, and I tell my friends what a wonderful or interesting person I have met. You are not there but I still show you respect.

You on the other hand may meet up with your friends and tell them how I was a complete whack job or something similar because I believe that life is beauty, blah blah blah… What has happened here is, once we have parted, you no longer felt the need to show respect, so behind my back you felt ok to run me down. That’s ok by me because I love and respect me and because of that, I love and respect you. But you have made the good time that we shared earlier a lie. What that means is, next time we meet, you will struggle to show me the same respect that you showed the first time round, and now our whole relationship becomes a lie. The sad part is, lying stops you from sharing and knowing the joy that comes from true love and respect. It makes you hide the special parts of you from me, and in doing so, stops you from recognising that same beauty in me.

There is one clarification that needs to be made here. Love is different from like. You will meet people you won’t like. That’s ok, but love them and respect them anyway. Find something in you that you see in them, now you have to love them, even if you don’t like them. Sometimes you need to find something to respect before you can give them love. Maybe an attitude or devotion or commitment to a cause that even though you don’t agree with it, you have to admire or respect.

Remember too, this whole life change thing is a process. One step at a time, one second at a time, one minute at a time, one hour at a time, one day at a time, one week at a time… you get the picture. To learn more about this process hang around people that are going through it. No one ever completes the journey and knowing that makes it easier to get up and start over no matter where you fall off. As one of my mentors says, “Do Great Stuff!” I truly wish you well, whoever you are, and great success in everything you do.

So it looks like Dan Brock was right. In my last post I talked about my Sewing Machine Site and how it was set up using Dans’ Super Affiliate formula. Since getting it finished I have been so busy with non money making stuff (can you spell unimportant?) that it is still only one of two sites in this mold that I own. I bought two more domain names about 3 or 4 weeks ago but still haven’t done anything with them as yet. Though I do have enough material for one of the sites to get up and running in a few short hours.

Anyhoo, a lady I work with bought an Amazon Kindle but she didn’t buy it through my link. I let her know I wasn’t happy so when she bought some books for it she went through my link, every little bit helps right…

So then I decided I’d come home and take a look at my earnings, I knew it wouldn’t be much but at least I could see how the reports work. Blow me down, there were the 2 books she bought as well as a sewing machine, woohoo! So now I’m feeling pretty good right, so the next night I come and do another check, and this time I extend the range back to March. Guess what? Now I have sold two sewing machines the two books that my friend bought and a Sunbeam Breadmaker which I don’t even have a site set up to sell.

What has happened here is that someone has gone to Amazon.com via one of my links and whilst they were there they decided they needed a Bread Maker so they bought one. I get the commission. I thought I’d better make sure that Dans’ Deadbeat Super Affiliate is still available, and it is. However Dan now has a new system called Dan Brocks Deadbeat Millionaire I guess because of the new system the price has gone from from $40 something to $67 and there are all sorts of upsells etc. The Deadbeat Millionaire System is currently available for only $49 just by clicking this link. I can’t speak highly enough about Dan Brock and his programs. Whilst I realise that good things take time, I also know that if I can take double in two or three sales what I get in a month of Adsense then I need to focus where the money is. Having said that though, I will still have an Adsense block on every page of every site that I build.
