I recently got a chance to shoot some underwater footage with my new GoPro HD Hero. At first I was unsure of how the footage would turn out . I’m definitely impressed at the quality packed into this little camera. Most of this was shot at 720p and 60fps, then retimed in post. I also shot some 5mp stills (below). Thanks to Robby Joseph (a.k.a. Big Daddy), and his parents, for letting us utilize their swimming pool!

Stephen Gordon @ Remedy Coffee

My friend Stephen Gordon sent me a text saying he was going to play a rather last minute show at Remedy Coffee on Thursday. It’s been awhile since Stephen has played in the Knoxville area, and I was glad to see him again. He played about an hour long set that left us wanting more, and about 30 minutes after a nice social break, he played a few more for us. Yes. Stephen Gordon is awesome like that. If you haven’t heard this guy, you should start by checking out his latest ep here. You won’t regret it.

This was also my first time inside Remedy Coffee, a very neat little coffee shop  in the Old City. I’ll definitely keep an eye on their calendar to see when I should drop back by.

Consensus: If a film is confusing enough that you have to see it again, it must be great.

No, but how do I really feel? It was an interesting flick. Definitely had some originality. Though at times I really was reminded of The Matrix, I wasn’t bothered by the similarities. I did have a hard time keeping track of dream layers. I’m not too sure if that’s me being so much less brilliant than Christopher Nolan, or if it’s a poor execution of a good idea on his part.

Also, my personal opinion is that there was too much Hollywood action going on alongside the actual story. What do you think? Let me know in the comments below.
