Emanuel was filmed in London and also at Althorp, Diana’s childhood home, now the home of Diana’s brother Charles, Earl Spencer.

Although obviously emotional… it promises to be both uplifting & celebratory!!..

Added to the fact it was HRH Prince William’s mothers’ 30th Wedding Anniversary to HRH Prince Charles, the Royal Wedding gown Emanuel co-designed for Diana, Princess of Wales.
So, the last few months have been somewhat frantic for Emanuel, to say the least!… but all the appointments & necessary travel arrangements etc, were handled by his Agent, Seamus Lyte with great aplomb!!…
Most of the items were pre-recorded, as well as being ‘Live’ on the day at Buckingham Palace.

He was accompanied by Mr Neil Burns, Group International Director of Bonmarche’ / Peacocks…
The new David Emanuel Spring / Summer 2011 Collection took prime position in the store, and after ‘officially cutting the ribbon’, a lot of interest was shown by the fashion-keen, local customers.

Emanuel completed Press, Radio & television interviews before returning to London.

Primarily on business, he also managed to spend some quality time with his son, Oliver who lives / works there…
They attended the Dubai Tennis Open to see Roger Federer win the semi-finals, also fitting in some sight-seeing on the Palm, restaurants & exclusive clubs.

Away from his work schedule, Emanuel managed to get some ‘TLC Time’ by having treatments & general pampering @ the One & Only, Royal Mirage Hotel.

Emanuel intends to re-visit !!!..

Emanuel was met by RWCMD ‘s Principal, Hilary Boulding, who was chairing the adjudication panel.

The yearly Scholarship alternates between instrumentalists & singers. This year it was the turn of the instrumentalists… with the prize money to help / support with their Post Graduate studies, was won by Euphonium player, Byron Newton. He delivered a very polished & professional performance… a name definitely to look out for in the future!…

Next year’s 10th Scholarship will take place in the new & exciting Concert Theatre @ RWCMD, officially opening in Summer 2011.

The culmination being a concert performance with the English Chamber Orchestra at the Cadogan Hall in London.

Emanuel had previously attended several of Miss Jones’s performances, and was very impressed with her playing & musicianship, and was “genuinely flattered & excited” to receive the commission.

Inspired by her music, Emanuel designed and sketched two gowns:

A soft, floating vision of white chiffon for the romantic ‘Glière’ Concerto.

A dramatic statement of red jersey for the Mozart, Flute & Harp Concerto.

Once the announcement went worldwide, Emanuel’s agent, Mr Seamus Lyte was inundated with requests for media interviews with Emanuel, co-designer of the late Princess of Wales’s Wedding gown. Over the following two days Emanuel managed interviews with BBC News, ITN News & Sky News, as well as guesting on ITV’s ‘Alan Titchmarsh Show’ & ‘Lorraine Kelly’ to name a few…

He did one of his ‘flying’ visits to the Principality, this time for the charity Oxfam. This was part of a National campaign organized by Oxfam in conjunction with Marks & Spencer, namely ‘One Day Wardrobe Clearout’.
With the aim to raise £1 million for Oxfam and help reduce the amount of clothing sent to landfill. The initiative
is part of M&S’ involvement in HRH Prince of Wales’ START campaign, designed to help consumers make a start in leading a more sustainable lifestyle.

It was an early start for Emanuel, arriving at the M&S Store @ Culverhouse Cross / Cardiff well before 9:00am!….
He was met by the Store manager, Mr Mark Reed & PR representative Ms Claire Beesley. Much to his surprise, the Welsh M&S shoppers were very keen, as many of them had already showed up with bagfuls of clothes to donate. After a few hours of meeting & chatting with customers and doing Press photographs,Mr Reed thanked Emanuel, with everyone agreeing it was a very successful morning.

Before leaving Wales, Emanuel managed to fit in a ‘lightening’ visit to the Bonmarche’ flagship store in Cardiff, to view the arrival of his new Autumn/Winter 2010 Collection. He also managed to buy a few pieces from his Collection, to give as ‘presents’ to his American friends when he visits in early October. Then it was back to London!…
