None of the methods I've tried before helped me get rid if this exception (including using a custom X509TrustManager, as widely recommended). Adding the self-signed certificate to keystore worked like a charm!</description>

		<description>Answering my own question, here's another great Buildout add-on; an extension called buildout.removeaddledeggs (http://pypi.python.org/pypi/buildout.removeaddledeggs) -- when added to your buildout will auto-remove all unnecessary eggs.  Seems to work well.</description>
