Would you believe it but some folk actually think I am David Sharpe when actually I’m David Sharp.

Confused yet, don’t worry you will be before I’m done.

Well I recently joined Empower Network simply because I like to be involved with high payout programs. It’s just easier to make some serious cash with them.

David Sharpe is one of the co founders along with David Wood, the two Daves as we call them.

So my name is David Sharp and have I any more similarities to that other David Sharpe?

Well he’s somewhere around 30 years younger than I am so not much there, but here is one thing! Up to making a name for himself he was working on construction sites and guess what I’ve been doing for the last 18 years or so!

That’s right I’ve run my own construction business here on the Greek island of Crete!

So that’s pretty interesting if not actually of any use to anyone other than it gets me to right a light hearted blog post!

What brought this about was this video I watched with the other Dave, David Wood and he said he hated jobs and by the time he was 21 he had over 25 jobs, that’s a pretty similar record to myself, by the time I was 21 I had 21 jobs. That was one for every year of my life.

Watch the video hear its a lot more interesting than my ramblings and you will see just how it is possible to live the life you want.

There’s a little voice that comes from within us sometimes that will do everything in its power to stop us achieving our goals. It is the same one that tells us how inviting that armchair looks when we have things to do.

Remember the old saying – ” Many a mans ambition melted at the site of a comfy chair” – so true.

We can all give ourselves excuse as to why we don’t need to do something but remember that is all they are excuses, achieving ones ambitions are not necessarily going to be easy, but it gets easier if you know you are never going to quit until you succeed .

 Once I had made the decision to carry on working it is amazing how much energy I then had. It’s a though my brain said “OK he’s not going to stop so we had better help him”. Try it sometimes!

Are you having the success you think you deserve or not?

Many people have struggled for years and not had the success that other people have had, not only that these other people seem to have had their success without all the grind and work that some folk put into not achieving it.

Why Is That!           

Well very simply it seems to be because these successful people just expect to be successful,  they believe in their own ability and consequently are successful.

Other folk simply don’t believe it, they want it and very probably need it but deep down inside themselves they don’t believe they can be successful.

This post is intended for those folk who have joined a network marketing company in order to create an additional income stream, but is just as relevant for those of you who are looking for an additional way to make money online.

Before I start with these 7 steps for success, that you must acquaint yourself with, I would like to thank Terry Petrovic for inspiring me with his blog post here:

So here are the 7 steps that are vital for your success and if implemented will keep you focused and driven every single day.

Step 1: What is your why!  You have to have a reason to do what you do. Write it down and look at it every single day to remind yourself why you are doing this. Think about this if you don’t have a strong compelling reason to do this then you won’t have the drive to see it through!

Step 2: Personal development! This is very very important, take some time out everyday to work on your own mind. Start by reading something inspirational for at least 30 minutes a day, it will make such a huge difference to the way you think. Remember to avoid negativity at all cost and develop a positive success driven mindset.

Step 3: Get the help you need! None of us now everything so don’t be afraid of reaching out and asking for help. If you are already in an opportunity then get in touch with your sponsor and reach out to him, or her. Don’t expect them to do everything for you, it doesn’t work like that, but rather just let them know you are committed to the business and is it OK to ask for specific help when needed.

This is the best approach, and remember your sponsor will only want to work with you if he sees you doing the work, expecting your sponsor to drop everything and do it all for you will not work.

Step 4: Learn how to market!  This is self explanatory, if you are struggling to market your opportunity, or product if you are an affiliate then you can get all the training you need by clicking here.

Step 5: Schedule your time! This is a lot more important than people first think. It is not just a case of doing a bit when you have the time, you have to schedule sets times everyday when you are going to work on your business. Let everyone know that at these times you will be working and stick to it.

If you are serious about creating some success then you have to be serious about putting the work in, period!

Step 6: Goals and review: In step 1 you gave yourself a reason for doing what you are doing, i.e. building a business or additional income stream, so you must have some goals to work towards. Usually it is something quite simple like needing to earn a certain amount of money, or better still have a certain monthly residual income goal.

Whatever goals you set have them written down and every day review your progress and ask yourself: “What have I done today that brings me nearer my goals?”

Step 7: Teach others, your down-line or anyone who asks, to do these 7 steps to network marketing success, and guess what! Once you start teaching you are suddenly in another place and a lot nearer to your goals.

This is the way to succeed, it is a lot simpler than it may seem but the most important ingredient for success is to take consistent daily action until you succeed. Keep doing the work, keep a positive attitude by believing you can do it, and finally no matter what roadblocks you meet on the way, NEVER GIVE UP!

Warning if You are a Technically Challenged Bod – Like Me – Keep Reading!

Have you noticed that all the very popular blogs have a Facebook comments box as well as a normal blog comments box. In fact some blogs only have the Facebook comments box, so that must tell us how important it is to have these installed on our blogs.

I remember trying to install one of these into this blog a while back and got so frustrated that I gave up! Well a couple of days ago I tried again and this time with easy instructions and the right plugin I managed it in a few minutes.

I shot a screen capture of the whole process, just to show how easy it was, and believe me if I can do it… anyone can!

 The reasons for having a Facebook comments plugin is to get your content shared on Facebook, pretty obvious hey. But be warned that some of these plugins that are available work in an ‘iframe’, which means Google can’t see the content on your site and so you lose most of the unique content benefits.

The plugin I installed actually saves all data in our blog’s database so all the SEO benefits that we get with normal WordPress comments also apply to our Facebook comments, and it gets shared. That’s if our content is any good of course!

Have You Got What It Takes To Become A Network Marketing Pro

In my opinion, and the opinion of others also, network marketing is one of the best professions to be in. Simply because you can decide how your life will unfold, but, only if you have the ‘bottle’ for it.

It’s not easy getting established as a network marketer and anyone who tell you it is, is trying to sell you something. So be aware you will not get rich overnight!

Back at the beginning of November last year I persuaded Jane to take part in the 7 Minute Workout program. I had been doing it for about 4 and a half months at the time and at the ripe old age of 63 was stronger and fitter than I had been for quite a few years.

Seeing the obvious benefits Jane was happy to join the program and lose some of the weight she had been carrying around for years. We made a couple of videos when she started at a basic level, just so we could compare, and yesterday we made the latest one.

Jane is a lot stronger now and has been exercising at an intermediate level for a couple of months. Anyway enough rambling enjoy the video you will get a laugh out of it.

The best thing is it didn’t cost me anything to get Jane started because as a business builder in the program I can give away up to six memberships, this is useful for getting the whole family fit and enjoying life to the full.

Driving back from dropping a couple of friends of at Heraklion airport this evening Jane and myself were listening to a recording that Ray Higdon made of a recent private webinar.

It was a good use of our time and I knew it would benefit me and at the same time provide valuable content I could pass on to readers of my blog. About halfway through the recording I had the biggest jolt ever and it wasn’t from Ray it was from Jane who was also listening to this. Watch the video to see what it was.

I read a post yesterday by my colleague Alan Turner that really got me thinking, and basically it asks what are we doing to make ourselves stand out from the crowd. What is our U.S.P. or unique selling proposition and why is it important to have one?

Well it is important to develop a unique selling proposition in order for your visitors to grasp what you are all about. This is important because people are attracted to people, but only the people they can relate to.

Taking the time to figure out your own U.S.P. will also help you identify the audience you are aiming to attract, and probably one of the easiest ways to figure this out is by asking yourself why you are in this business. Answering that question will help you figure out your own uniqueness.

You see we all have slightly different reasons for doing what we are doing and it is these differences that will attract certain people to us.

Take my own case for example I am a bloke approaching retirement age with a passion for helping people and living life to the absolute best that I can. If I were to sit back and wait for my pension, as loads of folk expect me to do, then I will just spend the rest of my years surviving and scraping some sort of existence.  This is not for me and this is why I have decided to THRIVE and not just survive.

There are millions of folk just like me and it is up to us how we live life, we can sit back and accept what is offered or we can ‘Decide To Thrive’!
