I concentrate on options a lot as it required a fraction of the funds that you would need if you traded the underlying stocks. 1 Contract covers 100 shares of stock but the initial money needed to trade it is what ever the contract price is x 100 shares. on the example of AAPL below AAPL stock price is 223.00 per share if you were to buy 100 shares it would be 22,300.00 not all beginning traders can do this and as you will see you really don't have to. I would pay with 2 Contracts  2 Contracts =200 shares  contract cost $4.71 $4.71x200 =$942.00  My profit was 1.04 after i traded it and sold it higher  that would equal $ 200.08 profit on my $942.00 investment That's more then 20% and these trades are usually between 1 and 4 days in length. There are other variables that make options risky also, including time decay and expiration of the option, but when you see the trades below the options define a small risk and huge potential, but only if you apply the HPS Methodology. Sure there is a lot of overhanging news that could be blamed on for this weeks pullback. I see it as a very organized pullback acting great on the stochastic as it pulls back into a flag that is very similar to the last 6 flags that accompanied a small pullback. Seeing something different here is just trying to be different and make a against the grain call. Logically and technically things look great and any significant pullback will be caused by some news that is more dire then the current state of affairs. So with a strong market this week their are few pure divergences, and none worth pulling on the list. Instead i focus on strong stocks that will continue to act this way...Until they don't! Did you catch that important lesson. The trend is your friend and at this point the markets are at all time highs. I am sure not going to look for shorts yet. Best bet is a great one (Members Only), followed by (Members) and UNH if we get back above 271. These breakout triggers are mostly for scalps as the momentum will come soon after the trigger. Best bet is to find the right option and daytrade it. Those were the wild west days of the day-trader, with boiler rooms and pump and dumps running rapid. At the time I was a technical break out trader, We used to trade on these FM frequency machines called Quotetrak something like that. Anyway there was no charts it was like reading a ticker and we would plan out our trades the weekend before by looking at these s&P 500 books that would be deliver by mail each week. From my recollection I think we mostly traded breakouts and set alert on the machine based on the charts. It just happen to be that those same setups tend to act the same way after all these years. We have many traders in our chat room trading this method even one of our elite traders Maximillion. This video I discuss my main techniques that after 20 years of trading and after eliminating all that doesn't work consistently, and the other side of trading ..the mental game and understanding what type of trader you should be.   There is a road map to becoming successful, I know it and can show it but you have to apply it and control it, when I am not around reminding you.
