Quartz Carpet™ is a natural, resilient and slip-resistant alternative to other flooring options. I stepped on the floor with my bare foot and even though it appeared to be a rough gray pebble surface, underfoot it was soft and warm. The texture makes it anti-slip and it comes in over 1000 color combinations. It can be used in residential, commercial, and recreational applications and is stain resistant, hygienic, durable and practical and can be used with underfloor heating or over properly prepared existing surfaces. Whether vacuuming or using a wet mop the maintenance is very easy and is determined based on two types of finishes available, and it has a 25 year projected life.

Pearson Company is a dependable custom upholstery company I have used for years. It has been in business in North Carolina since 1942 and continues to grow in customers. Besides the solid construction of it’s frames it has a Personal Choice collection that offers custom designed, bench-made sofas, loveseats, chairs, ottomans, chaises and sectionals with options for styling. The length, arm, base, legs, skirt, seat and back cushions can all be individually selected. It’s a menu of choices for configuring the style of the upholstery pieces. However, it doesn’t stop there because the seat and back cushioning also provides alternatives. There are two separate Personal Choice collections in case you need extra depth in the seat and a larger or smaller scale. Take a look at the Pearson website and then contact me and we can have a fine custom piece of upholstery delivered to your home. I personally have a leather sectional in my den and have enjoyed its comfort for several years.

Please comment and share your favorite upholstery finds.

Contemporary Living Room from modern-interior-design

The process of creating an interior concept begins with my initial thoughts and personal reactions to the space, circulation, primary focus and the use of certain objects, colors, finishes, textures or lighting. These items are integral parts of a canvas that expands and changes as the concept develops. It is with these initial thoughts that an abstract idea starts to mature. In this context the Interior Designer is creating artwork of the interior space with their clients. It is only with this thoughtful purpose, supported through continual education and experience, am I able to assist the client in the development of a style concept wholly encompassing their needs. First, I think it.
