Daniel Boone Regional Library (Owner) is accepting sealed bids from general contractors for miscellaneous renovations to the Columbia Public Library including data/electrical, carpet replacement, and millwork in the Administrative Office, 2nd floor of the Columbia Public Library until 3:00 PM, July 17, 2013. Bids will be opened and read aloud at 3:15P in the Virginia G. Young Room.

Bids must be submitted to the Columbia Public Library, ATTN: Elinor Barrett, PO Box 1267, Columbia, Mo 65205-1267. Shipping address: 100 W. Broadway, Columbia, Mo 65203. A 5% bid security is required in the form of a certified check or cashier’s check payable to “Daniel Boone Regional Library” (or accompanied by a Bid Bond, executed by the Bidder and Corporate Surety, and naming “Daniel Boone Regional Library” as Obligee.)

A mandatory pre-bid conference for General Contractors will be held on June 25, 2013 at 10:00AM in the Young Room at the Columbia Public Library, 100 W. Broadway, Columbia MO 65203. Subcontractors are welcome to attend and participate in the site review of the existing rooms to be renovated.

Plans may be viewed by visiting the Owner’s website: http://www.dbrl.org/rfp. Bid Package Documents may be obtained through Triangle Blueprint, 20 N. 2nd Street, Columbia MO; 573-449-0404. Anyone obtaining plans from the website must contact Elinor Barrett by calling 573.817.7040 to be added to the Bidders List.

Inquiries or questions about the Bid Documents may be directed to Elinor Barrett. All questions or requests shall be submitted in writing no later than July 11th . Replies may be issued by Addendum.

All work shall conform to the State of Missouri, Division of Labor Standards, Annual Wage Order No. 19, and to the Missouri Prevailing Wage Law Sections 290.550 to 290.580.
