Women in Their 20s, Washington D.C., is a social discussion group for lesbian, bisexual, transgendered & all women interested in women. Our meeting begins at 8:00 P.M. at the DC Center, a community center for GLBT in Washington DC. Join us for one hour of discussion from 8:00-9:00pm, followed by dinner at a nearby restaurant for all interested in attending. New people are always welcome! Note: our group is led by several facilitators on a rotational basis. Facilitators lead the group in discussion topics (both serious and silly, GLBT-related or not). Our meeting is open to all lesbian, bisexual, transgender or interested women in their 20s and we welcome a diversity of experiences and opinions. We hope to see you there!

March on Washington Keep the Promise on AIDS 2012 Event Sunday, July 22, 2012 12:00pm until 2:00pm The “Keep the Promise” March and Rally will bring together thousands of AIDS advocates in the heart of Washington, DC prior to the opening of the 2012 International AIDS Conference with the aim of reminding world leaders and policy makers that the AIDS epidemic remains a global threat to public health. Without more resources for treatment, care, prevention and cost-effective interventions, progress achieved over the past 30 years of combating AIDS could be lost. The “Keep the Promise” March seeks to refocus public attention on the lack of access to HIV testing, treatment and prevention; wavering political commitment to funding the global AIDS response and excessive AIDS drug pricing by pharmaceutical companies. While recent scientific discoveries show that treatment as prevention has the potential to one day end the AIDS epidemic, political will and financial resources must go hand-in-hand with science to make this vision a reality.
