Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced DevOps engineer to help us improve our product, working at our Herndon, VA corporate headquarters. You will be working with an agile development team to consistently deliver new features while maintaining stability for customers. This position includes both new development and operational problem resolution, along with supporting functions like release automation, test automation, and much more. You will be expected to work closely with Development and Hosting on the release process so previous experience working with or ideally as part of an engineering teams is essential.

Environment

• Our primary applications run on:

o Windows Server, using IIS, ASP, .NET web services, SQL Server, Tomcat, and Apache Solr, self-hosted in a major co-location facility

o Ubuntu Linux in Amazon’s EC2 cloud, using CodeIgniter’s PHP framework, managed with RightScale’s cloud application management system

• Some of our monitoring and management systems run on CentOS and Ubuntu Linux, using Apache, Perl, Python, MySQL, and related tools, and are self-hosted in a major co-location facility.

• Our continuous integration systems run on Windows Server in Amazon’s EC2 cloud.

Responsibilities

• Implement tools to monitor uptime and performance of our SaaS applications
• Respond to any issues with production systems
• Troubleshoot and solve technology problems in production and development environments.
• Work closely with Development on application design, environment creation, and release process.
• Help run automated testing to verify our product and its components to enable continuous delivery.
• Write tools to automate deployment, scaling and testing of our web applications

• Take personal responsibility for the availability and reliability of our service.

• Create tools that reliably manage infrastructure.

Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent work experience
• Experience with Windows and Linux systems automation and monitoring tools
• Understanding of configuration management tools and principles
• Experience working with cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services
• Proven analytical and technical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to maintain multiple projects and tasks
• Ability to manage their own tasks with deadlines
• 2-3 years of experience running production web-application systems

Additional Desired Background:

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for providing job placement and job retention services for Job Corps graduates and appropriate level of services to former enrollees.

Responsibilities include performing the following duties:

• Makes persuasive public presentations;

• Develops professional relationships and maintains rapport with all regional contractors, support agencies, and contract customers;

• Tracks, organizes, inputs, and manages large volumes of data;

• Maintains an ongoing resource development effort

• Submits required reports on a weekly and monthly basis;

• Arranges for student Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) and civil service testing;

• Assesses student job-seeking skills

Admissions Counselor

Location: Outreach and Admissions Offices

Duties and Responsibilities

Plans and implements the outreach and admissions program to ensure that the team reaches its performance goals and that quality students are successfully recruited for the Job Corps program.

Duties include:

• Maintains and documents Area Marketing Plan (AMP);

• Plans and implements outreach activities to ensure a sufficient number of referrals;

• Conducts in-depth interviews with applicants;

• Collects and records accurate data and signatures on forms as required;

• Establishes appropriate contacts with community agencies and businesses for connections with youth eligible for Job Corps;

• Reviews and assesses all application materials and makes personal observations for informed judgment as to applicants’ eligibility for the program;

• Approves or rejects all applications to Job Corps with the exception of applications for readmissions, or of those needing medical, behavioral, or mental health review

• Establishes rapport with applicants and provides them with ongoing support through the application process, pre-departure, and during center stay;

• Meets applicable contract performance data;

• Provides applicants with accurate information about Job Corps, including program requirements and rules of conduct to be followed by students;

• Introduces applicant to Labor Market Information about availability of jobs in applicant’s preferred vocation in his/her hometown area;

• Is well-informed about each Job Corps center for which the Admissions Counselor recruits and maintains connection with each centers’ website;

• Obtains, when directed by Job Corps Regional Office, additional health information needed to make a final eligibility determination;

• Updates student information such as addresses and contact information to ensure that it is accurate and current;

• Establishes and maintains positive partnerships with center staff to ensure that center receive committed and informed applicants and that students receive quality services;

• Maintains and updates records according to federal requirements;

• Records all applications in OASIS and forwards to the appropriate center;

• Ensures that Policy and Requirements Handbook rules for assignment, ticket accountability, departure, and ‘no-shows,’ are adhered to;

• Maintains clear documentation on file that denied applicants are informed, counseled, and referred to other resources when appropriate; and performs other duties as assigned.

Enterprise Security Analyst II

Job Description:

The Enterprise Security Analyst will provide information assurance and cyber security support. Works with the IT work centers to develop risk response recommendations for the government client organization including avoidance, transference, acceptance or mitigation of security risks and vulnerabilities.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Security Analyst provides direct support for organizing, planning, implementing and maintaining the Cyber security program of USAF. Works with work centers to ascertain their risk response decision. Responsibilities will include support to vulnerability management, scanning and remediation, patch management, and threat and vulnerability assessment. The candidate will have experience in reviewing information security activities including policies and procedures and presenting findings in verbal and written reports. Experience in one or more of the following: LAN/WAN networking, systems administration of Windows-based platforms, firewalls, IDS/IPS design and implementation, computer forensic techniques, databases, web and mail servers, and general systems design and operation is highly desired. The candidate will review and coordinate the implementation of DoD policies and procedures concerning Information Assurance. They will be actively involved in staying abreast of and informing the agency of the current government directives, instructions, guidance or policies regarding or impacting Information Assurance.
