In case you had not heard, Dead Air Podcast is back! Well, if you had heard you must have been within earshot while Steve & I were recording. It's not like we advertise. That would be too much work and really disappoint someone who thought they were going to find something entertaining.

The opening weird audio was from the great Chad Vador. You can check out the video right here.

I say it more than once during the podcast but we are in no way sponsored by Dos Equis. But I did steal the audio from this commercial.

Ladies and Gentleman, I give you evidence that time travel truly does exist(or at least will in the not too distant future). The Orlando Police have picked up "Louis E Lindsey" and arrested him for possession of drug paraphernalia. But I tell this was a mistake. What the police innocently believed to be a 16 inch bong was in fact the time travel mechanism that allowed "Future Don" to come back in time. But why Orlando? And why 2009? Is there something, or someone Future Don is meant to stop to help save humanity ? (Roughly 2030 looking at this picture) Or is it something simpler, like Adidas went out of business and this is the only way Future Don can buy new kicks for his collection. One thing we can be sure of, Future Don is proof that time travel exists, or at least will by 2030. I can't wait to shoot me a dinosaur!

It's true... your pal Steve is without a computer. Has been for some time now. And I'm too cheap a bastard to buy a new one. After all, after I bought myself a GPS and a Wii for Christmas (and some stuff for my kids) I just don't have the scratch! But fear not, despite my total lack of ability to podcast, I can still write meaningless crap here on this blog. So there!

This weekend, as I was lying in bed, scrolling through the channels on my TV, I happened to stop at Comedy Central. I was reminded how much I FREAKIN' LOVE LEWIS BLACK! He's a local boy. I am happy to let you know (since I know you were all curious) that last night Danny and I both passed our Karate exams. (Danny's my son... may never have mentioned it.) I earned my yellow belt, but more importantly, Danny earned his orange belt. And he really worked his tail off practicing for it, so he deserves a lot of credit... that's a lot of work for a "far off" goal for a kindergartener. At any rate, just wanted to let you know and I wanted to throw in a plug for the on-line karate store where I have bought some of our karate gear and other miscellaneous swag. So, here's the plug!

Zima goes to the great liquor store in the sky

The powers that be announced recently that they are going to stop selling Zima. This was not really sad news to me. It was a bit shocking, as I didn't even know they were still for sale. Steve and I have a funny story about Zima. When the stuff originally came out it was not available everywhere. As it turned out, it was not available in the DC/MD/VA area when I first heard about it. Steve and I didn't know this and went on a very long, very fruitless Zima run back in college. At the time both Steve and I didn't really like beer. Zima promised to be the beverage that we could order and not look like a total girl. (This is not true as anyone who ordered a Zima in the past more than likely had a vagina or an honorary vagina.)

Well, we drove around for hours and hours and came up empty. It was our Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle moment sans the marijuana. We drove in MD, DC and Virginia. (Gas was about $1 a gallon back then.)

I don't remember when I ended up trying my first (and last) Zima but it was a bit of a disappointment. I decided to stick with beer and thankfully grew to love it. Check out the beer ground Steve and I host on Flickr here.

R.I.P. Zima. You made a good run for such a terrible, terrible malt beverage.
