To Be Continued…?

Oh man, you’re all going to hate me for leaving things like this but, this is it. A cliff hanger ending?! You JERK! On the plus side, hopefully you’ll all be really anxious to return and find out what happens when I start drawing again. Right?

So, the comic is officially on hiatus. A recap of how things will be while I’m gone:

* The site and all the comics will remain online. So, take your time and read the back catalog if you just joined us.

* Any store orders will still be fulfilled. I still have lots of great merchandise that needs homes.

* I will be checking the site regularly and answering emails / questions.

Right now I have plans to work on some other projects and take some art training to brush up on things while I recharge. If I come up with something neat, I’ll be sure to share it via my studio blog on my main website (the link is at the top of the site).

Beyond that, I think we’re done for now. Thank you all so much for reading and I hope to be back soon cranking out more comics.

A Little Clarification

Over the last week or so since the announcement about the comic, a lot of people have expressed their sadness or confusion at the comic’s upcoming fate. I just wanted to post a new news post to clarify a few things that have changed since the original decision was made to stop production on the comic.

I have changed my decision from positively ending the comic to simply putting it on hiatus. I do not know how long it will be and there is still no guarantees that I will start it up again but I have left that window open and am willing to look at it if I feel I can do the comic justice.

If you want to know when / if the comic comes back, I highly suggest you sign up for the newsletter at the top of the site to know the moment anything happens. That list was created only for the purpose of announcing any future plans and releases of any printed volumes.

I Think This Is The End…

I still have no idea how this will play out but due to the outpouring of support from many of you, I will say that this isn’t necessarily the end now and more of an “indefinite hiatus”. That basically means that it could come back at some point. Please sign up for the mailing list above to be informed of any future decisions!

When I started writing this storyline, I had a single thought enter into my mind, “This would make a great way to end the comic online”. I’ve been debating if I should mention anything beforehand or just have it end with this storyline but I thought I owed you all the benefit of knowing before the final curtain drops.

So, I think this will be it. ~~This will be the end of the comic online.~~ I love The Deadlys and the way I plan on wrapping this up will make it so that the door isn’t completely closed to them returning someday. I just feel like I’ve told all the stories I want to tell with them right now.

I’ve been wrestling with this since the first of the year and I think it feels right to wrap this up now. There are plans for a fourth book to finish out anyone’s collection who wants everything as well as a complete series book that will have everything in one volume along with some bonus stuff. I’ll post more details once I get things hammered out for those two books. With the large complete series book, I’ll probably do that as a pre-order so I’m not sitting on too much inventory after the smoke clears.
