Not to the person it's directed at, but to our accountability partner. Because it tells us two really, really valuable things we might otherwise not get: 1. What's really going on in our hearts toward other people, 2. New ways we can reach out and begin to radically change our thinking and our hearts. If we can't be honest about what thoughts are churning around in our heads, we're going to miss a lot of opportunities to change our thinking from the ground up. An accountability partner is a great resource to get that stuff out in the open (without crushing someone's feelings). I think that we should say these things. Not to the person it’s directed at, but to our accountability partner. Because it tells us two really, really valuable things we might otherwise not get: 1. What’s really going on in our hearts toward other people, 2. New ways we can reach out and begin to radically change our thinking and our hearts.

I've been a short cut person my whole life. Taking shortcuts usually leads to having to return to fix the real problem. What I’ve found that works for me is to step back and put God First... Then I go in with my head on straight and tackle the true problem. God First truly works for me... As for the girl’s hair, my first thought was a dad for sure... But after reading Lori's post, I have to agree with her. There is no way I could have made my daughter hair look that good.
