More importantly than either the proximity of Dairy Queen, or Debra's meticulous and wholly understandable thought processes, is, I think, the simple fact that she excites ardent masculine admiration wherever she goes. Obviously, the guy wasn't thinking straight because he was trying to hit on her. It's called "being tongue-tied", or sometimes, when accompanied by salivary gland malfunctions, "tongue-dried".

I have more cause to worry than most, as I must divide my attentions between financial markets as well as Debra's ever expanding internet empire. Witness the growth of her affections for the cunning and sinister Ian, of the large arms and English accent. Yes, the sentiments of my beloved for me have atrophied for lack of attention. I am jealous.

I declare it before all the world!

I just had a couple games in the 20s so I must be doing something right :) I think it comes down to patience - not rushing the shot - and a healthy slice of luck - hope the rebound doesn't result in a big ball that fills the lower half !

I googled gimme friction high scores and haven't seen anybody claim a higher score than 33 (high five) but i'm sure there is somebody!

I'm up to 33 now too. No strategy yet, I'm afraid. I try different things. Usually I start off with a big ball and work along the sides, but that can only work for so long.

Hi, Maxine. It hadn't occurred to me that boys would be easier in this respect than girls, but you're probably right. Certainly there's a fair amount of jealous floating around in the ether here.

I've been seeing a bit of my two sisters recently, both of whom have a boy (eldest) and a girl (youngest). I am very struck by how different it is for them. I have two girls -- you have to be so darn careful with everything you do and say to one of them, as the other one always has her radar out the instant any interaction involving the other one occurs.
Boys just seem so much simpler somehow, in being less verbal. They thump each other or do their own thing, in blissful unawareness of what dynamics are zapping around them.
Having two children, one of each, is just such a different experience to having two same-sex children, I conclude from my observations.

Seven guesses on the Secret Word is shocking! It seemed so easy initially, so I tried all manner of re_a_ words (e.g., recap, relay, etc.) before I finally thought of relax. Compare that to your three guesses. A shabby performance.
