I reset my ticker to reflect that, and it looks like the only goal I won&#8217;t make this month is the lose 8&#8243; total off of my waist one. I can live with that.</p>
<p>I did some more beading today and I also vacuumed the house. It&#8217;d been about 10 days since I did last time, and thanks to Lucy&#8217;s heavy shedding, I had to empty the canister twice and probably could have gone over everything again and emptied it a third time. Then I set up all of my transfers for the month for money. Did I put away the huge pile of laundry I did the other day? No, not yet. Tomorrow!</p>
<p>I also spent some time working on my beading. I worked out the cow pattern I created and it turned out really cute. I also did one half of a pair of tropical fish which turned out really well but was incredibly time consuming to make because of the complexity of the patterns and colors. I&#8217;m taking a break from that and will make its mate tomorrow afternoon. I&#8217;ll hopefully be able to get a good photo of the tropical fish earrings as well when I finish them as they are going to be really, really pretty.</p>
<p><span id="more-15381"></span></p>
<p>Friday The Connoisseur is going out of town for the weekend and I&#8217;m taking care of her animals. Four dogs, three cats, three horses, two goats, a rat, and three snakes. Everyone is easy to take care of, assuming her snakes don&#8217;t try to eat me when I make sure they have water. Eek!</p>
<p>I also went by the clinic to make an appointment to get a new birth control prescription in a few weeks. After three weeks of calling them several times a day and no one ever answering the phone I gave up and drove over there instead. I have no idea how it is they never answer the phone no matter when or how many times I call, but its frustrating as hell because even though the clinic is just a few blocks away, I do not want to have to go in to do something I should be able to do over the phone.</p>
<p>Food was decent today. Calories were spot on, fat was a little high. I blame my sudden desire to eat nothing but salads lately with too much fatty dressing. Here&#8217;s today&#8217;s eats.</p>

<p>I do apologize for the lack of quality posts lately- I&#8217;ve honestly just been so busy with trying to get up a good varied inventory for the festival that I&#8217;ve hardly had time to think about anything else. Being busy (when I&#8217;m not watching Mad Men!) does have a perk- I&#8217;m not thinking about stuffing my face when I&#8217;m concentrating on stitching a new pattern or trying to design a new one, or trying to do a little housework here and there.</p>
<p>Saturday night we will be going out to Tracy &amp; David&#8217;s for the Tacky Tiki party and I can&#8217;t wait! I probably will eat too much, though I&#8217;m not worried about heavy alcohol consumption- 2 drinks is generally my limit at most parties and I usually just drink water instead of any alcohol at all. I&#8217;ve got my Bermuda shorts, my tank top, my tacky homemade polyester Hawaiian shirt (its a little small so wearing it open over another shirt) and my insanely large red plastic lobster earrings. <img src='http://debslosingit.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>

<p>I still haven&#8217;t made it back to the gym since the other week, but I am pretty sure I will make my 30 pounds goal tomorrow morning. I&#8217;ve been really in the mood for salads lately, so might have yet another one for dinner tomorrow. I&#8217;ve got tons of lettuce plus two cucumbers, and we&#8217;ve got plenty of chicken, some mozzarella cheese, and Caesar dressing. Yum! We&#8217;ll see what I feel like tomorrow. <img src='http://debslosingit.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>I also spent some time this evening working up some new patterns for earrings- I did a cow, a pig, and 2 fish. The cow I worked up and it turned out pretty well. The pig still needs work, and I won&#8217;t really know about the fish until I have a chance to try them out.</p>

<p>I also drew out how I want my connecting wires to look when I get my zebra wire so I can better connect the beaded strands and the chain portions of that necklace I did the other day. I&#8217;m confident it will work after seeing it sketched out.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Once again I didn&#8217;t manage to post anything last night, so doing double tonight. The scale was down 3 pounds on Sunday from last week- Yay! That definitely made me happy, and I lost a half inch from my calf so that gave me my 2.5 inches lost this month goal.</p>
<p>Mattie had Monday off due to the holiday, which was nice. Pretty much all I&#8217;ve done over the last few days is working on my beading- I came up with a great necklace idea that I want to make a second one of, but I&#8217;m waiting to get some wire-wrapping wire so I can finish it off properly. Right now I&#8217;m honestly afraid the damn thing will fall apart as it is now, but I&#8217;m confident I can fix that easily enough with the right materials.</p>
<p>Food was pretty good over the last two days, a little high but not enough to be freaking out about. I wanted to go to the gym today but the gym was closed due to the holiday, and tomorrow I&#8217;ve got to be here for the produce delivery and then later I have an appointment with my psych doctor in the afternoon.</p>

<p>I also got Mattie&#8217;s big birthday present today, which he then teased me about not even liking it. On the 8th, we&#8217;re going to see Primus. He asked me &#8220;Do you even like Primus?&#8221; I laughed at him and told him if I didn&#8217;t I would have told him to find himself a date for the night. Silly boy. Of course I want to go too! Duh!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I totally spaced on posting last night so just figured I&#8217;d put it off a little longer until this evening when I did the weekly wrap-up. Yesterday was just bad on food all the way around. We went to see Men in Black 3, which was decent, though kind of cutesy. Unfortunately, the movie meant popcorn and soda. I drink soda on my own maybe once a month but put it in front of me and I cannot say no to it. Add in a late dinner and I was way, way, way over my goals for the day.</p>
<p>Today was much better, and it was more fun too. We had Kim and Jeremy over and she brought a mess of venison, which I&#8217;d never eaten. Deer is much tastier than elk, for the record. It wasn&#8217;t gamey at all, which is why I didn&#8217;t care for the elk- it was very gamey when I tried it. I made mashed potatoes and a salad to go with it, and I didn&#8217;t touch the potatoes, just the salad and meat.</p>

<p>After dinner (tonight&#8217;s) we played a game on Munchkin, which finally really got going only to have Jeremy swoop in and make a win while the rest of us were barely getting our footing. Next time we play will be better because we&#8217;ll have a better idea of what we&#8217;re doing and we won&#8217;t be so hesitant to ply our cards for and against each other.</p>

<p>I also did quite a bit of work on my beading today and busted out I think three pairs of (woven) beaded earrings. The rainbow theme is in full effect right now! I made up a simple pattern for the actual rainbow shapes, so going to make a few of those over the next day or two then move onto a new pattern. Maybe another pair of cars too, this time in green?</p>
<p>The weekly wrap-up isn&#8217;t so bad either. I had a few days I was well below target, so those balance out with me being so far over on Friday. Still, we&#8217;ll see what the scale looks like tomorrow.</p>
