AGAIN I am completely dissatisfied with your customer service, I had an issue when I first got service & now when I am moving. I called & set up arrangements the last week of july to pay my bill on the 19th the rep said ok, it won't be over 30 days thats fine. So now i'm moving I let them know i will be paying on the 19th she said ok but I need to stick to that date to have my services transfered and if i don't it will be disconnected 2 days after,I said ok because i planned on the 19th anyway. So i got a call today to confir the appt.got an email an hr. later that the appt. was cancelled due to past due balance.after they told me it was fine & I made all arrange. for the appt.I don't have time to rearrange my life arround you guys's mistakes or lack of communication, ALL the arrangements were made as far as the rep I spoke to last thur.& everything was ok.I then spoke to a sup. who was no help at all then told me my acct. is 40 days past due which is a big reason why. My acct. is due on the 30th of each month making it 16 days past due,& ONCE AGAIN I made arrangeents for the 19th which I will do so.I would like cable connect on the 18th like we agreed & I don't appreciate the customer service problems I have had with the lack of communication & training in your company. I moved from DTV to comcast, I have had Dtv for about 8 years & haven't had this many problems that I have had with you in LESS THAN A YEAR.NOT HAPPY WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE ON ALL LEVELS WITH COMCAST.

Is there a way to use the USB port on the DCT6416 DVR for input? I simply(?) want to use the DVR and my HDTV to watch slide shows off my laptop. I haven't plugged it in yet since the USB connector on the DVR appears to be type A, the same as on my PC (and others). I believe type A to type A is not a directly supported connection, and I haven't obtained a USB bridge/hub as yet. Any advice on either the HW or SW question would be appreciated.

my old mac (bought around that time) beats it in every way! even running windows.... HEY DELL! GO DIE IN A HOLE! Heck, they told me to upgrade to vista, so I did and guess what? i had to call them about my CD/DVD combo dying and guess what? "We can not help you at this time. It may have to do with Windows Vista. Please re-install XP to see if you can fix this computer. Since you installed vista, you warrenty has been voided." Hey, you told me to upgrade!
I've never been so disgusted with a company and it's inability to provide services as has been my recent experience with Comcast. I contracted for the triple play and the first installer arrived on July 8th. He told me he was not able to do anything since my TV, Computer etc. had not been delivered yet. I understand that the services could not be tested but they certainly could have run the wires and returned a day or two later to confirm the connection. Now because I did not have a phone line I had to cancel the setup of my home security system. I rescheduled the appointment for the next earliest date available which was July 15, 2010 and of course my appointment was from 11 - 2pm so I had to take another day off of work. The tech (a subcontractor) was unsuccessful in completing the install and at 4pm when walking out of my house said I wouldn't have phone service for a while. He took the modem and all the cable boxes and left the house. I had to cancel the setup of my home security system again. I immediately called to voice my ire with the service and was told someone would come on Friday. I could not take another day off of work so it was reschuled for Saturday, July 17th between 8 and 11 am. Another tech arrived Saturday but was unable to do anything because he had no equipment even though I had stated that in my 3rd or 4th call to Comcast about my installation issues. I was told that the sub contractor supervisor would be contacting me shortly to resolve the issue. I still have not heard from anyone. Today, July 19th when I called again they have no record of my account. So, still after being in a brand new house in a new state for eleven days I still have no phone, internet or cable service which means I can't get a security system installed. I will be suing Comcast for any loss/damage to my property due to the lack of a security system for your techs incompetence.

I use Source Manager and run into a problem. Using a dictionary entry "significant other" from Merriam-Webster gives the following APA format (as provided by Merriam-Webster on their website:

significant other. (2010). In Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary. Retrieved March 8, 2010, from http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/significant other

Source Manager provides no entry to put the "In" that needs to precede source! How to solve this?

Thanks

My lamp went dark a few weeks ago. I searched the web for a replacement bulb and found an Eiko on Amazon.com. When I installed the new bulb, nothing happened. I'm not sure what, if anything, inside the lamp is repairable. My lamp remains dark. Any ideas?
