The eco dimension of design is fully served with this special Branch Table imagined and created by Design Front.

The table was designed by pressure, using a new material derived from branches under high pressure. The material was molded into a coffee table that casts shadows just like a tree does. A coffee table that can easily be declined as outdoor furniture (not to mention how naturally would look outdoors!) proudly imagined and made by Design Front.

It’s Wimbledon time! A little tennis (even if it’s about Roland Garros) is on the menu today!

Celebrating the Roland Garros, 5.5 designers reinterpreted the iconic tournament in “3 Sets” and transporter tennis in object design through a stool, a panel for domestic purposes, glasses and carafe.

The tennis racquet reinterpreted as a “Break” stool is quite impressive, especially knowing that its strings were properly tensioned by the very Laurent Lucas, the official Roland-Garros stringing technician!

The 15/30 table is a mini-copy of the Roland Garros tournament panel and the carafe and glasses “ACE” are inspired by the tennis balls tubes. Now that’s living la vida tennis!

A new, intriguing design has been brought to our attention in an email from Philippe Tyberghien, the designer behind Cercle et Carre: Wookmar’k.

The green lamp is not just a regular lamp – it’s made of wire wool and cotton, kitted by hand. Available in more bright colors, the lamp has a flexible, invisible plastic cone hanging at the end of a 4,5m long wire (also handknitted) that can be place in multiple positions. Minimalist and green, Philippe Tyberghien for CercleetCarre does a beautiful green design with his Wookmar’k lamp.

This morning we got word of some funny new ways to store your books using the latest from Casimir Meubelen: Ladder n°1!

Popping right out of our mailbox was the very familiar shape of a ladder cleverly reinterpreted and used by designer Casimir from Casimir Meubelen. The shelving solution thus created is a one piece deco-extravaganza, the perfect decorative stairway to store all your treasured books!

Available in four sizes, the Casimir Meubelen Ladder n°1 is as beautiful in its retro oak natural simplicity.

It may not immediately look like deco-established-fact, but Maja Mesić, a young Croatian industrial designer sent us her awarded Alatka project. Alatka has so many implications, I dare not outcount it from deco-related themes!

It’s not just a pencil, it has been created for so much more than just writing! Created to adapt the movement and the drawing position of the hand, Alatka could be the next drawing innovation! (not to mention an aesthetic revolution of the writing tools!) Looking forward to Maja Mesić’s future creations! (for more information about the designer/product, you can email maja.productdesigner at gmail.com)

Though the very opened exterior could be a perfect giveaway, the interior is so calm and intimate, discrete and natural, it completely breaks you rhythm and gives you peace.
