The June installment of Kev's show comes in 2 parts as usual, Kev kicks things off with Part 1 and special guest Milton Jackson [Dark Energy / Freerange] takes up the guest slot and delivers deep underground funk like only he knows how. Kev O'Brien certainly needs no introduction. Kev's latest EP, Valentines and 909s [Deep Vein Audio] has hit the big league and gained support from the biggest names in the industry. Look for it on Beatport and treat yourself to a fine display of electronic music production. Kev's set for this month's Stranjj Selections was recorded live at Club Love on 28 May 2010 and sees Kev pick up the pace to deliver some serious dancefloor funk, showing one many sides to this rising pioneer of the electronic scene. If there is one recommendation I can make this year, that would be to bookmark the name Kev O'Brien and join the ride to the top. Daniel has been DJing techno and house since the early 1990s in Germany, when he worked with a group of promoters and DJs in his hometown of Darmstadt. Slow Your Roll is Ken's latest offering now available for download on deepervibes.net. Slow Your Roll is best described by Ken himself: "I took a break today, and dipped back into some very rare vinyl, pulled a few new things that I really dig off the digital promo folder and tossed in a few disco edits that I had laying around and created a mix at home for the first time in years. I tossed the tempo down to 119 and ended up in 110 after an hour. So I call the mix, "Slow You Roll". There is something really intimate when you play for yourself that I totally forgot about. Most of my mixes are recorded live. I did one thing different this time when I made this mix at home, I just played and hit record and didn't worry about what would happen or who would hear it. I promised myself, no stopping and starting over. This is what came out. It gets pretty interesting a little more than halfway into the mix. Hope this makes someones daily life a little bit easier..... Slow your Roll...."
