It was an awesome wedding weekend filming Shruti and Amol’s Indian wedding in Northwest Indiana. First off, how amazing is Shruti’s custom outfit from Getethnic? Shruti and Amol’s friends and family were so full of life. It was an amazing weekend celebration of love between the two newlyweds. We enjoyed filming again at the beautiful Bharatiya Temple of NWI and at the Halls of St. George (Sherereville, IN) for the first time. Such beautiful venues that Shruti and Amol picked! We love it when there’s all sorts of natural light flowing into the room during preps and on Parv + Prash’s wedding day, there were beautiful blue skies and huge puffy white clouds with all sorts of natural light flowing into the windows. When love is in the air, you can feel it. We just love the first look moment when Niki and Josh see each other for the first time on their wedding day. The excitement, the anticipation and all of the planning have finally come together! What an amazing day it turned out to be for Niki and Josh with their Jewish wedding ceremony taking place at the beautiful Ravinia Green Country Club. How beautiful are Niki’s veil and dress? Reshma + Brian // Hindu + Catholic Wedding // Hilton Chicago

Every aspect of Reshma and Brian’s Hindu/Catholic Fusion Wedding was magnificent! Two days of events culminated in song and dance at the Hilton Chicago’s Grand Ballroom. Two cultures combined into one amazing weekend. This historic venue was the perfect backdrop for Reshma and Brian’s beautiful Catholic and Hindu wedding ceremonies. The Chicago Police Department even shut down Balbo Drive so that Brian’s horse and baraat procession could make their way into the venue! How many wedding couples can say that about their wedding? Simply amazing. Everything was coordinated by the talented Mallory with CHI Chic Weddings & Events.

Annette + Amit // Hindu + Christian Wedding

The beautiful part about weddings is that it’s a blending of two families. With Annette and Amit’s wedding, everything about their beautiful day was uniquely them. We started filming bridal prep at the Chicago Marriott Naperville. Then, their Bengali Hindu Ceremony took place at the Sri Venkateswara Swami (Balaji) Temple in Aurora. If you’ve ever driven on I-88 near Aurora, it’s hard not to miss the beautiful white temple. We were able to fly our aerial drone around the temple to get some nice establishing aerial video footage. Amit’s baraat started outside as he rode a white horse to the front of the venue; where Annette’s family was awaiting. The remaining part of their ceremony took place inside the temple.

In the afternoon, Annette had a second wedding ceremony at Meson Sabika. The beautiful four-acre estate was the perfect backdrop for their outdoor Christian ceremony, complimented with music by a Mexican mariachi band, a lively representation of Annette’s cultural background. We had such a fun time filming your beautiful wedding. May you have many years of happiness together!

Candice + Jonathan // Holy Name Cathedral + Union League Club

We had such a fun time filming Candice and Jonathan’s beautiful wedding day. They met while attending college at Marquette University. Jonathan enrolled in medical school and they were dating long distance for about three years. While traveling back and fourth, they wondered how things would go. Candice says that if you’re meant to be together, no distance will separate the two and you’ll find a way to make it work! Great advice and a great outcome for couples wondering if long distance relationships work!

All of the speeches at their reception were amazing but many eyes were watering after Candice’s father gave his speech. Check it out:

Lindsay + Rex // The Ritz-Carlton, Naples

We’re super excited to share Lindsay and Rex’s wedding trailer, which we filmed at The Ritz-Carlton, Naples Beach Resort in Naples, Florida. We’re not only excited to share this because it was an AMAZING wedding but also because there was a moment where the wedding almost didn’t happen. Let us explain….

We filmed Lindsay’s sister’s wedding a few years ago in Chicago at the Peninsula Hotel. So, when Lindsay and Rex contacted us about filming their wedding in Naples, we were ecstatic! Eight months after they booked their date with us, Hurricane Irma made landfall in Naples, Florida. It was the most intense Atlantic hurricane to strike the United States since Katrina in 2005. Buildings were destroyed….many damaged…including Lindsay and Rex’s wedding venue! Many of their out of town guests had rooms reserved there as well. With weeks to go before their wedding date, it became a scramble to find new rooms for all of their out of town guests…and more importantly, a venue where they could have their ceremony and reception!

If you asked Lindsay and Rex’s family, their wedding was always going to happen…it was just a matter of where. They were determined to find a place and The Ritz-Carlton, Naples Beach Resort came to the rescue! With the help of their planner, Courtney from Fabulously Chic Weddings, Lindsay and Rex were able to relocate their entire wedding party and plans in a matter of weeks! AMAZING is an understatement.

Naples is a beautiful place and The Ritz-Carlton, Naples Beach Resort created the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable wedding weekend! Here’s the abbreviated trailer:

Katie + Josh // Pheasant Run Resort

Katie and Josh met while they were in college. Josh’s best friend said at the wedding that Josh was “head over heals” for Katie and couldn’t stop talking about her. So, he knew they’d probably marry one day…and he was right!

Katie and Josh’s wedding ceremony overlooked a beautiful pond at Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles and was officiated by Josh’s Dad, who is an ordained minister. We love when all of these special touches are included in wedding days!

We had their first look at the beautiful Japanese Tea Garden in the Fabyan Forest Preserve in Geneva, IL. Around there, we were able to get some really nice shots of nature. Katie and Josh rented out the whole garden for us to film in there…beautiful space!

We loved getting to know Katie and Josh and meeting their wonderful family and friends…not to mention, we were able to work alongside Michael Rastall Photography again!!

We enjoyed filming Mahsa + John’s Chicago Persian wedding at The Peninsula Hotel. For years ago, Mahsa and John met at a supper club in Chicago. Three years after meeting, John proposed to Mahsa in the same exact place they met! The Peninsula Hotel in Chicago provided the perfect backdrop as the couple danced the night away to a mix of Persian and American music with their family and friends!
