There are so many people upset with the coupon controversy going on with Target right now I am a little hesitant to even bring it up. They do have a printable policy online which I have printed out and carry in my coupon binder. I have had to pull it out a few times because unfortunately a lot of cashiers don’t know it exists. While it does cover adjusting coupons down and using multiple coupons it does not clearly express any limitations on Target coupons. For arguments sake, I think it is only reasonable that they allow you to use at least two of the same Target coupons per purchase as that is how Target has enabled the printing from their site. And it really seems to vary by the cashier so be sure to “cashier shop” before you pick a lane. If you are given a hassle, calmly ask for a manager or just complete your purchase at customer service if neccesary. Hopefully if enough of us complain it will make checking out easier in the future. Target Trip 9/5

Target has Enfamil marked down to $5.58 per can at my store. I used my formula checks and ended up paying $.58 per can for these. Now I can take that receipt to Kmart and Babies R Us for price matching to get more cans for that price. It’s not always guaranteed but worth a shot. The Post It’s were $1.29 or $.29 after $1 off coupon and I used the $1 off Tide from the paper and the $1 off All from the Safeway coupon book. So all this was $3.19 before tax. I also got a cute Merona dress for $1.98 after the $3 off coupon on Target.com (click), not pictured.

While on Target.com I would print out the $2 off kid’s denim coupon. Some stores have baby and toddler blue jeans on sale for $3 which would make them just $1. I found some cute toddler girl’s denim shorts for $2.48 on the clearance rack. There is a coupon for $1 off produce and $1 off any Market Pantry bakery item which will come in handy for your next trip.

Monday Meal Plan 9/6

Monday- Took the day off and let my man handle the cooking. He picked up Baby-Back Ribs from Albertson’s (buy 1 get 2 Free sale) and made his own sauce and homemade french fries. We had a great visit with the family and the kids (and the parent’s!) were worn out from all the fun. What a treat!

Tuesday-Freezer Cooking with ground beef/ground turkey. Will buy about 3 pounds of each and combine raw meat to form a few meat loaves. Then will form some patties and separate with wax paper and refrigerate for grilling tonight. Remaining meat will be cooked with half removed and mixed with canned tomatoes, onions and sauce for Italian dishes, the rest cooked with taco seasoning and green chilies for Mexican dishes. From there I can freeze the mixtures as-is to have a quick pasta sauce and taco filling.

Wednesday-Beef Pot Roast with Veggies

Thursday-Tacos, crunchy and soft shells, black beans

Friday-Use taco leftover’s for nachos/taco salads

Saturday-Baked Ziti with frozen Italian sauce mix. Add cooked noodles to sauce, toss with mozzarella, ricotta, and parmesan cheese and then bake until cheese is melted.

Sunday- I may be dreaming a little but some steaks on the grill sure does sound good. If that doesn’t work out my back up plan will be hot dogs and chips.

Yeah, it was pretty sad having no new coupons in the paper today but at least we can still print them! This would be a good day to catch up on cleaning out your coupon books and getting all those great new Target coupons printed.

You can print them twice per computer. There are a lot of baby coupons on right now for Huggies and Enfamil. Also, I noticed a coupon for Fast Fixin’ chicken which you can sometimes get for free at King Soopers and a reader reported using the Gum oral care coupons to get freebies this week.

Wow! I can get used to getting spa treatments for 90% off. Eden II is a very well known and respected spa and I don’t think you can say you really know Denver if you haven’t been. They offer lots of alternative health packages in addition to making you look and feel wonderful. I am thinking about the acupunture which does wonders for my migraines.
