Was just looking through our ever growing photo collection here, mostly just family type stuff, neither of us are really “into” photography, but these few pics herself took at the Grand Canyon last month are interesting.

We couldn’t find the digital camera that morning so ended up just getting a cheapo, disposable camera at a gas station along the way. I think the inherent shite picture quality of the crapcam actually makes these pics look better, with this kind of old-timey, grainy, warm look about them.

I’m not a fan of the trend in showing documentaries in theatres, but may just travel up to Santa Fe to see this one. It’s not going to be showing in Albuquerque, apparently.

It’s not just the fact that he can play guitar, this lad seems to have moxy, pizazz, y’know, a bit o’ gumption.

It was the young fella’s first big birthday party back a few weeks ago. He’s 3 now. So Angie hires this clown which was a great idea, to keep the kids entertained and so the adults who barely know each other aren’t all standing around like tools, awkwardly making those “first time I’ve ever met you” conversations ( well that’s the benefit I saw from it anyway). So “Giggles” the clown arrives and Jebus fuckin’ Cripes if it’s not the freakiest fuckin’ excuse for a clown I’ve ever come across, with this mad hyper-happy way about her to boot. I couldn’t stop laughing at the thing all afternoon. Y’know like, those sudden uncontrollable sniggers that always happen when you’ve taken a slurp of your drink, and you end up laughing it out your nose.

Great stuff ……… I even gave her a $20 tip just for the unintended entertainment value I got out of the whole thing.

Here’s some more iClones/iPodclones to check out. None with all the features of the iPhone of course, but if you can’t afford or don’t want the real thing………………………………..

This first one is from geeks.com (i’ve shopped there before, they’re reliable). It’s basically a media player with voice recorder and a miniSD slot. Nothing special. Might keep that begging kid happy though ! Here it is….

Next up is the CECT P168+, which supposedly has quadband, but i’ve read a lot of sellers are pawning off Tri-Band versions as Quad band, so research this before you buy. Looks like a half-decent substitute for an iPhone and the price is definitely right. It doesn’t have wireless internet which would put me off straight away. But, one cool feature it does have is dual SIM card slots, so you could have two phone numbers going at the same time on one phone (good for those who maybe carry a work phone and personal phone). Here’s one on ebay.
