i know i’ve been mia for a while

but i just wanted to let you know i will be out

 for a bit longer

we are preparing for baby ryder to arrive in less than 18 days

eeeeekkkkk!

i appreciate your patience and i can’t wait to share

this next chapter and adventure with you!

{and promise i will include lots of non-baby related adventures too}

nothing to do with this post but i just love that song!

anyways…it’s been awhile.

i just got back from a fun girls trip

(more on that later)

and things are settling down,

except they aren’t really.

life seems to be getting busier by the minute,

design work is picking up

and baby boy rider is growing bigger every day!

all for which i am extremely grateful.

i feel the clock ticking daily for his arrival.

taylor and i have a lot of house projects to do before he gets here.

i can’t help but feeling like everything is a bit out of order, a bit messy

but i welcome this mess and i’m working on enjoying every bit of it.

it makes me think of a quote from ferris bueller’s day off-

Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

taylor and i have an early flight to arizona

where we are going to retire from the daily grind at the ritz carlton dove mountain

for 4 days of babymoon bliss

{eeeeeeekkkk!}

insert preggo white bod in a green chair above

hopefully with a fruity (virgin) drink and book in hand

taylor is excited for some hiking adventures

and i cannot wait for some spa treatments and relaxin’

lately i have been drawn to bright and white airy open spaces

blame january, the month of purging, simplifying and downsizing

now off to some cleaning and downsizing of my own

it’s babies on the brain for me today

so just bare with me

i’ll be back to design, fashion, and everything in between tomorrow

above is just the start to the basics of ryder’s nursery

so far i’ve ordered the crib and changing table

and some bedding options

of course i couldn’t pick one but i will be returning whatever doesn’t work

taylor and i like the idea of one accent wall with wallpaper

we just can’t commit to a pattern

i need your vote!

the star tiger ?

i think i’m drawn to the tiger more but i’m torn?

it’s probably going to be the wall with the changing table against it

so i will be staring at it between many many #1 and #2s

it’s sad but true

it’s hard to design for a little one you have not even met yet

i would so appreciate your input

it’s one of those things i’ve stared at to long and i need a third party opinion

i have a confession

i’m getting a little freaked out that i have only 15 weeks to go

until we meet our wee babe - lil’ ryder

i can’t believe i am 25 weeks today

our little man is a kicker i tell ya

i’m so excited to meet the little tike

but feel like i have so much to do

this simple and beautiful mobile

reminds me everything is going to be okay

i wish i could have a mobile for my life, with every relationship,

work endeavor, health, spirituality, family …all of it in perfect balance

that would be magical

but extremely unrealistic

in the meantime

i will strive towards some sort of balance in everyday life

that is until our little baby gets here
