This was just before the space was opened up and it was filled with energetic kids of all ages.
We’ll post a video soon showing some of the highlights.

Some appropriate humor from the onion.

Some appropriate humor from the onion.

Testing Near IR absorbing ink

This ink is a sample from Epolin. As you can see the ink is barely visible on the plastic cutting...

Setting up Puppet Parade at NYSCI

We’re super excited to announce that Puppet Parade will be at NYSCI April 8th - May 6th 2012....

Farming Interactive Installation Prototype

Here is some video of our second prototype at NYSCI. Really relevant to some experimental live city visualizations we have been discussing.
Using shape detection to detect wooden pieces and assign them as resources. Still early tests.

We are using a Sony IR Camera looking down on the screen from above. The IR filter means that you don’t see the image on the screen, just the backlight of the screen with the shapes silhouetted.

Working on a small scale prototype of resource management for...

Working on a small scale prototype of resource management for connected worlds. Aiming to get a tactile prototype working which can be played by multiple participants.

Currently we’re using the kinect simply as a color webcam to track orange felt. Tomorrow we’ll switch over to a regular IR camera and use shape recognition to distinguish different markers.

VERY early work in progress.
