I was wondering if could help me.

In the wonderful Murakami diary, in the middle of the month of June there is a section taken from After Dark. I was just wondering if you knew what the japanese symbols meant? I can't find out anywhere :(

Thanks

Hi David, I like the new color scheme but I found the type a bit too small for good reading. Don't get me wrong, I like the way you put emphasis on typography, but I think it could be a few points larger. Congrats on your new design.

Thanks Tracey, glad you are liking the site. I went and had a look at David Pache's site it's pretty nice. I like the whole 'dacheboard' thing.

I'm not familiar with Dan Lindop's work (I'd better do something about that!) but I agree with all the others on your list and I would also suggest David Pache as a worthy contender.

I've just discovered your blog, and I like what you've been writing. I also read and subscribe to most of the blogs on your blogroll, too!

Ah, using an 'em' tag. That makes a lot of sense, after all using small tags in the body would be used for emphasis so the em tag makes perfect sense.
However I often use italics for emphasis so perhaps designating small-caps as the 'strong' would be an appropriate alternative.

Semantic markup is talked about a lot, but I agree that typography is not normally the specific focus. I might just do some exploration myself - if you turn up anything interesting please let me know.

On a different note, the comment bellow the one you linked to complimented you on the way you distinguish Author comments. I agree, it's a nice touch & it might give me some ideas as to how to add similar functionality to my site.

Thanks for the quick reply
